Hands down one of the top 10 roads in the country. It blows my mind how many people have never heard of it. Needles to Iron Mountain Road can go up against anything else out there.

It's amazing!

I have to say, our trip to that area this past summer was incredible. Some of the best riding and so much to see. The only way to truly experience it is on two wheels. Ride safe and enjoy.

If you go the other way, one of the tunnels perfectly frames Mt. Rushmore. Watching those busses go through those tunnels is crazy too!! Love it ! Sone of the best riding in my life. Was out there in 2020 , rode over 1400 mi. out there including ride to Devils tower. Hope to get back out there again. You brought back some great memories. Keep the content coming .

This area is my favorite to ride! Custer State Park, The Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, and Devils Tower. For the past 25 years, I have done a road trip every year to different places. But go back to Sturgis rally about every five years because it's such an amazing place to ride.

I came from the other direction, so it was cool to see it from the other way. I felt the same way about that road, I knew I had to go back. Sturgis 2024, baby! I'm going back but this time I'm bringing the Mrs. I have to share that experience with her!

Each year for the past several years, I find myself at Sturgis during the rally. I’m there with a group who try to make a positive impact with those who recognize they could use it. I spend about 4 hours per day at the rally. The rest of the time, I ride. Needles is my favorite road in the area out of many wonderful roads. I prefer Sturgis over Daytona Bike Week because the riding is so spectacular.

Yes, my brother, there's some amazing riding in that area. Needle is breathtaking. Iron Mountain Road well...Breathtaking. Oh., entering Custer State Park from the opposite end, is free. A motorcyclist paradise, especially when there is no traffic.

I think you started the needles from Sylvan Lake, near Harney Peak. You were generally headed in a S.E. direction. that is what most do, but you can enter from the other end by taking iron mt rd south of Mt Rushmr and exiting to needles somewhere down south of Mt rushmor. Did you Ride Iron Mt? It's nearly as great as Needles.@@JustGKue

Not much traffic these times, but there are few days warm enough for a comfortable ride. I rode it last year in November and it could not have been more pleasant.
