Another year in, do you still like the radio or any longer term issues?

I am going to pin this for others to see! In the past with my older android it worked and functioned perfectly. I recently upgraded to a S22 Ultra and have had connection issues sense.

Cool upgrade. Back when I had my old Explorer, there were no easy or affordable options like this. If you ever need to change out the wood style dash piece, the boring black replacement could be hydro-dipped with a wood grain coating.

It's a pretty nice upgrade to have, I mean, I literally use it everyday!

A fancy radio would be nice in the TJ, but I'll probably rock the old Alpine until it gets rained on to the point it goes belly up!

Thanks for the video now, what size of a double din radio fit in Metra upgrade dash? There's a bunch different sizes of double din radio.

i have this radio in my fzj80. i use apple car play and like it alot. it has glitched out a handful of times in the last year, and i had to reset it with a toothpick in the hole on the bottom right corner. it would be really nice to use avenza on it. onx does work well, and i have saved a few trips on it.

Glad to hear your feedback! I wish Avenza was compatible with Android Auto. Just means I get to run both!

How do the apps like Spotify work do they work from Bluetooth from your phone and mirror over or are they using their own cell phone signal

Hey, what do you guys use out there for communications on the trail? I'm looking into a CB or GMRS radio for my FJ Cruiser. I make a few trips to the Black Hills every year and want something other than cellular. I may just get both. Thanks

It used to be CB radios, however most of the groups, including ours, is now GMRS!

I really like the 7" radio I have currently! I don't see a reason to go to the larger one!
