The BEST Power Station Under $300 - & It SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!

BLUETTI EB3A portable solar generator battery review. The EB3A is a Power Lifting Champion that can run devices most other power stations this size can't. The Bluetti EB3A is a portable power station a 600w AC inverter and 268Wh LiFePO4 internal battery. The EB3A has 9 outputs, and can charge at a rate of up to 430W watts with the AC adapter in power turbo charging mode. Between the AC inverter and charging capability the Bluetti EB3A is a strong power station among the 268Wh range. These power stations are excellent for camping and off grid adventure with small devices.

This a dream drive for photographers working from their cars at any location. Nice vid!
I just bought one. They are great. Got a 3rd party 200W solar panel for it as they are more a commodity and the Bluetti one is a little rich price wise. They are supposed to be releasing a new cable that will allow you to link this (and other Bluetti units) w the 806W expandable battery B80. That would turn this into a 1000W+ unit.
Just finished driving from Florida to Nevada (via Mexico) with 12v fridge (and sometimes food warmer) plugged into EB3A which in turn was plugged into the car's 12v. Maintained fridge perfectly and stayed mostly at 100% until we stopped for the night. Never fell below 50%. Strong point of this unit is higher wattage inverter and flexible charging. We use our Ecoflow Delta 2 for higher wattage and watt hour demands.
Mine didn't come e with the mc4 cable. There was a note saying it would be shipped as soon as they had them back in stocks. 2 weeks later it was in my mailbox. Good service!
I love my Bluetti! Bought this for a dc fridge & love it so much I bought a bigger one just for it so I can use this one for all my other camping power needs.

I've have this for 2 months now . Honestly this is a killer deal. Reason why I say this because I also have the 1 socket ryobi mini inverter. I looked at this while on sale but it never made any sense to me. at only 268 watt hours having a 600 watt inverter is pretty pointless as you'll only get 25 minutes of run time at full power. its in the weird space of being too big or heavy to carry around for light stuff like hiking/foot travel and way too small for things like powering a single fridge, tv, pc, well pump, or electric starter for gas furnace or water heater for any reasonable length of time. Either go with a portable battery pack to charge your phone/camera or tablet, or go with a 1280Wh lifepo4 battery and a separate inverter to power a few key appliances during a blackout.
I am looking at this for cpap machine power while camping. This should do the job as well as charge the drone batteries and run a fan. I was looking at a Jackery but this I think will work better for my use case.
I hope you have better luck with your eb3a than I had with ours. The inverter went out after only a few uses. I replaced it with a Pecron e300.
Great comprehensive review thank you. And much better without the shades 😎 IMHO !

One problem. The EB3A needs at minimum about 10 watts solar input to start charging. In bad weather conditions, early in the morning oder in the late afternoon you get no charge. A Jackery 240/500/1000 or a Eco Flow Delta 2 takes every incomming watt to charge.

I've noticed the same thing on mine. I have 2 EB3A's, and a couple other Bluetti units. Neither of my other bluetti units have that issue though. I get the feeling it's just due to cost cuts. It's a cheaper mppt controller than what they use on their bigger units.

I don't see the point of these small 260wh packs... I have a diy usbc charge pack that has 240wh.. I can't imagine using that as a solar generator 😂 I built my own solar generator for about $1000 and it has a 4800wh battery and a 2000w pure sine wave inverter. It's also water proof that is built in a milwaukee packout case. I built a additional 4500wh battery for it for about $550 more. So for about $1500 I have a 9300wh solar generator that can last for days without conserving battery power
One thing I would add about "turbocharging" mode is that it is a great feature when you really need a battery to charge up quickly, and used only occasionally, it won't hurt the battery life appreciably. However, faster charging does degrade the battery more over time, so for maximizing battery life people should charge as slowly as their circumstances allow. If one is going to let it charge overnight or for quite a few hours before you need it, charging it in the slowest mode (silent) is best as it will still charge in about 3 hours at that rate. If you need to charge from zero in an hour once in a while, sure, use the fast charging mode.

I used the fast changing outlet, on the plug-in wall charger, for my portable power banks & 2 (different brands & ages) no longer charge! @@OffGridAdventure So how many watts does it charge it at without turbo charging?
@randybobandy9828
Жыл бұрын
@mspat8195 no.. it wasn't the fast charging that ruined your device. Something else went wrong with it. The cells are rated for over 3000 charge cycles and that's just until the max capacity is reduced to 80%.. they can go for thousands of charges more than that. Your bms or outlet on the device must have failed or melted but it isn't the cells themselves.
thanks for the info!
I don't like apps so do not use them. BUT I bought several of these for the light weight, the fast charging, the LiFePo4 battery, and the great display. I can use them in a couple of places in the house for charging my phone and for running a fan AND I can charge them fast and then charge up one of the larger heavier units without carting the big guys out and then back in. As a senior with frequent back issues, this is very useful, although not the most efficient way to use them.

You Should plug a hot plate into it to show the customers it will power it or a 500w electric heater to show customers it works and can power them

Still love my Eb3a, but I wanted to ask for some advice, since I haven’t used power lifting mode yet, how do you think it would perform for toasting an open sandwich in a 650w 10 litre capacity toaster oven? Would it take too long for the small battery capacity? I’m still annoyed that having a 20$ Dash Mini would end up costing me $100 after shipping/fees, so I was beginning to consider power lifting mode and the 650w 10l oven seemed like my best alternative to the Dash Mini (5L)

They’re both decent brands and they have a similar feature like powerlifting. In the end if you get something that works for your needs then it’s a success.
My eb3a is set at standard charging mode w/eco set @ 4hrs. It would charge at 200+watts and then only charge @ 125 or so watts at 50% charge. It seems that I can’t switch charge modes to silent or turbo at this point. I most use it to run my 32 or 42 quart 12v car fridge that uses between 35 to 60 watts when compressor kicks on. Using the 12v outlet it would run fridge set at 34 degrees in eco mode for 15hrs and via ac outlet it would barely run for 10hrs. In ac mode the wattage being used was 70+ watts. Is the Bluetti converter using some of that wattage? The thing I’m concerned most about was that I couldn’t change charging mode and how charging wattage in standard mode would go from 200+watts and down to 125 watts at 50% charge. I was also using the Bluetti app also to monitor device.
So this can be plugged to be charged with a solar panels? I am looking for some emergency power that eventually can be used for a longer time in case there is no electricity.and for what I understand cannot be used for a fridge … never? Thanks

You can use a 12 volt mini rice cooker if the cig port is at least rated at 10 amps. Plus, many regular rice cookers they sell are only 300 watts. My 12 volt mini rice cooker uses only 100 watts and cooks rice in 30-35 minutes. I`m sure I could let it run for 25 minutes then unplug it to save battery. But it even works with my tiny Golabs r300 and only uses 22% of the battery to cook one dry cup of rice so it`s much more efficient than an AC rice cooker. If you look on the "A" store it`s the green and white one with a cat or panda cartoon face on the side. It`s a must have if your power station`s 12 volt cig port is 10 amps.

Still a novelty to me. I haven't really found a use for mine. It would be great to use as a ups for my router and modem if it didn't switch from battery to AC power all the time and disconnect the router and get really warm. The best use for this would be something like a router running off of solar. You can maintain a constant 10 to 20 watt output and maintain that overnight and then catch enough of a charge off a 100 or 200 watt panel as soon as it got light to keep it going indefinitely. @@PWoods-cd6tk Runs intermittently as per thermostat, like any fridge, about 55-60 watts DC, in fridge's selectable "eco mode", when it pulls. (More, 80-90 watts when using AC). Unit charges at well over 100w from the 12v port, as I recall. More than enough to recharge the unit quickly, even if the fridge is running.
this is the one, the one. there should be a jomi Hendrix song in the background or something lol
Can I plug in my Bluetooth speaker .it’s a ion charger speaker if ur wondering how many watts .
Will this power a hot plate?
Would this be good for charging up your electric scooter?
I grabbed the EcoFlow River 2 mainly because of the 5 year warranty... Seems like a no brainer.

The River 2 is a good device.
So how do you charge it? And what "solar" panels do you need?
Good video, not sure about the repetition though!
Sounds to good to be true!
Man I want one of this.
