The BEST Pokemon Generation! Anime and Games!
Ойындар
Pokemon X and Y. The best Pokemon game or The best Pokemon generation? Generation 6. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y were the most underrated in the Pokemon franchise. In most Pokemon tier lists you'll find X and Y above Pokemon Sword and Shield, the worst game, but below Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. If you count the Pokemon anime and the Pokemon VGC (competitive Pokemon) the Kalos region evolves from average to the best Pokemon generation.

I just have to say I'm really glad to come across your channel. Came here from the Dead Rising video, and this was amazing to see suggested after it. I loved Gen 6, the accessibility of creating competitive teams, got into watching streams and actually talking in communities because of it. Friend safari's making you seek people out to add them, shiny hunting becoming a huge thing. The first jump to 3D pokemon on handhelds which I get is something people get upset about, myself at times about it too, but just seeing them like "wow, this is really how they're meant to be seen" was incredible. Loved gen 6, loved the video, love the channel.
Generation 6 was definitely the most fulfilling generation to keep in touch with in retrospect since maybe Gen 3. That mystery with the backpacker had me engrossed.
This game brought so many beloved individual features (PSS, Mega Evolutions, Fairy type, customisation, general quality of life menu upgrades etc) But it’s also very much the game that started the ‘beginning of the end’ in terms of the games being unbelievably easy. Now yeah, they were never the hardest games but all the previous generations had their moments if you didn’t massively over level. The exp share effecting all party mons, a free mega Lucario, free Kanto starters, multiple free heals, multiple free healing items. The game is fun (even if Team Flare are awful) I like XY but for me it’s definitely the point of no return for the franchise in general.
Loved your Dead Rising video! Personally this generation will always be nostalgic for me. ORAS was a wonderful reimagining of the originals which I played to death and I remember spending months trying to complete the Pokedex for the shiny charm. It was back when you could complete the Pokedex because of that monthly giveaway of mythical Pokemon, not that you needed it to get the charm. Idk it's really just nostalgia but it was more meaningful back then
Loving these documentary style videos. Keep it up!
I have to 100% agree with this. X and Y brought something amazing to the franchise that felt fresh and new. It's a shame that mega evolutions didn't become a mainstay in the franchise, as I feel like it didn't reach it's potential yet
The second Ash jumped from Prism Tower to save Pikachu, I knew this anime was gonna be different. And it was a trip. I was hyped for every battle, and watched the Pokémon League as if it was a real sport. Even though he lost, it was a fantastic league. There was more action in the first two episodes of XY than the entire first half of BW and that’s saying a lot. Also I gotta agree on the Dub being different. It’s so soulless. Ash vs Sawyer dubbed was so off putting that I couldn’t finish it. I watched the whole thing subbed and watched it dubbed because my sister was too lazy to read and I just couldn’t stomach it lol. All the Openings were hype too. Another rewatch is in order, it’s been a while since my last XY and XYZ binge.
I loved heartgold and soul silver gen. To me it was the ultimate OG Pokémon experience. I’ll never forget how many hours I put into it.
this is actually an incredibly well thought-out video with pretty smooth editing and overall a really nice experience it feels sad to see other videos in your channel getting 10k views and this only gets 700.. hope it blows up
Mega evolution was one of the best things to happen to the series. They are what brought me to the comp scene. You MIGHT be using a mega, but you might not, and running a special M-Lucario was funny to watch. People switch in their physical tanks and watch them get annihilated. M-Sableye was a great staller that could win you games just from bringing it. If they couldn't counter Wil-o-wisp, they were likely already done, countered stealth rocks which were effectively useless really and just made it annoying for focus sash users, stopped poison, and on the turn of it's mega, it got to use both Prankster AND Magic Bounce. Likely an oversight, and the only one that got any advantage like that. It brought out so much potential, just for them to ruin it from a minority complaining... Just remove origin forms and M-Kangaskhan. Why did you have to ruin the best thing that happened to comp?
Amazing video man just subbed
just subscribed to your channel, you are really underrated and you make really great content
Discovered your channel through that deadrising one, loved it. Halo and Piko Park were great as well
I love seeing these videos they always bring a smile to my face :).
❤️❤️Just found your channel, hope you get bigger, we will watch with great interest❤️
I loved this gen. It got me into the TCG and back into the video games.
Hey I just discovered your channel threw tik tok and I’m really impressed with the quilty and content of your channel thank you for the entertainment
As someone who started with gen 6 I'm entirely inclined to agree with every statement in this video.
Gen 6 rejuvenated my love of pokemon. The franchise had been practically dead to me since after Gen 2.
Glad to see someone else shares my very blunt naming choices. Loved bird and Obviously keep up the great work Edit: congrats on 30k, could’ve sworn it was 29.9 yesterday ;D
I had played a few of the previous pokemon games casually. But when gen 6 came out, it was the first time I ever was actively waiting for a game to come out, and I think it may be the point at which a began to go from a kid with a 3ds to a rookie gamer who played games whenever a chance presented itself
I miss Gen 6 so much and there was so much nostalgia. My Mega Lucario was kicking ass back when I was playing against my friends and XY was the very first part of the anime I watched subbed, Satoshi was so badass. There was also really cool spin-offs such as Pokken Tournament and Smash 3DS/Wii U and seeing Greninja revealed for Smash was hype.
The “best” generation is the one that got you into the games I feel. Gen 1 was amazing to me as a kid, then gen 2 was like omg it gets better, you could go back to the first 8 gyms. Then I grew out of Pokémon anime. Only played the next games on emulators years later.
i love absolutely everything about this video, i never thought anyone ever felt the same way i did about generation 6
Bro this is sick, keep the grind king
"And if tou don't agree with my opinion, you're wrong" this line had me laughing like a maniac. I never played this generation much unfortunately since I naver had the console needed. But you made some compelling arguments.
This was my first Pokémon game that I ever finished and I enjoyed it a lot me and my brother had battles all the time even though he really wasn’t in to Pokémon but he did it cuz I made me happy
I came to this comment section because of less views but can you make a series of doing impossible achievements? I never played dead rising but you made it seem like I was there and it was entertaining. Thanks!!
Nice vid
Gen 1 and 2 will never be topped for me.
What's the song playing in the second half of the games section
honestly once i get my new 3ds xl, this is one of the first games i'm getting once i mod it, x/y was the first pokemon game i played since fire red because i never really owned a ds, since the one i had broke, and it was the most fun i had, i legit cried at the end cutscene too
I missed out on gen 5 so when I came back to gen 6 every gen 5 Pokémon felt like it was a gen 6 Pokémon. I agree with this as well! The competition was real fun. Haven’t done any since then. It does still hurt 😢 ha ha ha ha ha I was sooooo maddddd about that lost against Alain
It's rare to find a fellow gen 6 enjoyer but im glad i did!
Don't care for X&Y a lot but between Go, ORAS, Mystery Dungeon, the anime and the competitive scene, Gen VI was crazy good
Came for the halo video but man all your videos are straight quality

a man of fine tastes
This isn't relevant to the video but is your name taken from the character in Rule of Rose or is it a coincidence?
Literally my first experience with the anime was X and Y , plus Y was the first Pokémon game I ever played
While Gen 5 will always be my personal favorite generation, Gen 6 is a VERY close second
Game wise Gen 5 was the best even though Gen 3 is my favorite. Gen 5 was like a love letter to the DS era before the games on 3DS

sadpanda is the original nhentai if you've been on the internet too long lmao
Blue and Red are the best hands down. Maybe im just old here and people didnt play that one lol. You couldn't look up anything on those just talk to your friends and see what they know.
8:24 Now that Greninja will come back in Journeys, I pray it can take out the pain of this moment. Edit: Gen 6 is my favorite now too, as you may be able to tell, for mostly the anime, though that VGC moment is still one of the most legendary in the entire franchise.
certified hood classic
I caught them all in pokemon Y by trading buneay for every pokemon in the game. For the content pokemon like Celebi or Mew I just traded around with a nice player willing to trade around. Once i finished I felt accomplished for running the most successful Buneary b̶r̶o̶t̶h̶e̶l̶ darcare ever.
I tried playing gen 7 and was more bored than I have ever felt in a pokemon game. There was waaay too much dialogue and hand holding and not enough battling.

I can get that but I'm a weeb and play jrpgs so I wasn't too phased lol
I really liked X and Y and AS/OR... but I honestly think I liked Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon more.
HEY FRIEND
I played this on a emulator and i nearly lost to the champion twice with many revive and i won and the pokemon that made me the Champion is Bulbasaur
Pokemon x and y are not the best games in terms of difficulty But the anime was top notch and set a great standard for the anime going forward
i really liked x and y, i lost my cart tho so gad to pirate
but weren't X and Y pokemon leaked ?
Finally, someone with common sense!
My favorites are the 1st and 2nd generation not because they are fun also because ports are all over the place to use them at school when everything fun is blocked
Oh a video about the best pokemon generation, surely this won't have any arguments in the comments because the pokemon community are a bunch of lovely people
Omg, finally somebody WHO GETS MY POINT
SERENA BEST GIRL, ETERNAL HEROINE SERENA IS CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!!!
This vid is very based
oras was really good x and y not so much(well gameplay wise it's amazing though also always good music as is pokerman) the megas were awesome but nowadays every gimmick is bigger pokemon literally started in sun and moon with totems Dyna/gigantamax and alphas.
X&Y are probably the best generation for the manga, as for the games I'll have to disagree with you, I'm way too enamored with Emerald despite me loving the mega evolutions. I haven't watched the anime since the really early 2000's so I won't weigh in on that. My real question though is this; how old are you? People will almost always end up naming the Pokemon game they were playing when they were about 14 years old as their favorite.
based
I've been saying this for the longest time. Couldn't have said it better myself.
As much as I like this game I very much so prefer 4th and 3rd gen over 6th but I still geniuenly like 6th gen more than sun and moon and sword and shield. Also 4th gen anime is still my favorite ash and Paul final battle is one of my favorite anime moments but they messed up by making ash lose to a dude with a latios and darkari but overall gen 6th anime is the best
I prefere megas then dynamax g-max z moves strong styles and etc
Panda website? What am I missing here
Mew beneath the what now
I love you !
Platinum is the best one.
I comment to help statistics
The xy and xyz was the shit.
Started with platinum so has a special place in my heart but pokemon black and gen 5 were by far my favourite. Nothing has hit as good as pokemon black since.
black and white better
ORAS is without doubt on of the best game in the entire series. Up there with Platinum and HGSS for sure.
the gen that copied from digimon
XY anime is edgy trash, Sun & Moon anime is where's it at, because not only Ash DID won the league, but he did it without a shitty asspull power
Gen 6 is badass.... I love it. But calling pokemon by thier non western names...... a bit cringe lol
I mean your allowed your opinion even though it’s wrong lol. X and Y are complete bores to play and the Mega evolution is a fun gimmick until you realize it sucks and regional variants of Pokémon is a much better gimmick that actually breathes life into older monsters. Also what kind of brain dead’s make a new gimmick and don’t give it to the starters brand new to that generation lol. I’ll give you the anime though, that was a great season!

U can have your opinion 2 even if it’s bad mega evolution will always be way better then regional forms
