A couple years ago, in Sept 2020 we went to Mount Rushmore and decided to bite the bullet and spend the $135.00 to spend one night at the KOA. Since we do not have kids, dogs, cats, golf carts, open exhaust ATV’s and we had no desire to swim, or anything else because of the C, the only thing that was there that the other parks didn’t was a gas grill at each site. So, needless to say, that KOA was definitely not worth the more than 400% higher than all the other places we stayed on our trip.

Some KOA's are definitely expensive! We do a mix of KOAs and private campgrounds; we have yet to brave a Cracker Barrel or Rest Area overnight.
Looks like a wonderful place to relax.
