That guy with the long handle bars could barely steer it. My brother raked his bike and said handling at slow speeds was terrible...but it looked cool!

When I as 13 I rode my first motorcycle, I'm 70 and been tiding ever since, 55 bikes 4 continents and the reason I love them is the handing, the feel, the overall engineering that gets me there. These get me no where.

First bike at 1:30 ,,, SNAP behind the floor boards lol , I had a mate that thought he would go ahead and make his own Tow Bar to tow his 17 ft boat and wondered why it snapped on a major highway nearly losing his boat , he was a great welder BUT an engineer he was not , These bikes and even the Rad Rods they build on TV are great ART but also death traps waiting to happen and would NEVER pass an engineering inspection for road use in Australia , Since about 2006 onwards With I Can Make and Do Anything reality TV Shows on every channel EVERYONE is now a Structural / Mechanical Engineer . Its Madness on massive scale o O

There all show and no go. but there built that way and the owners know that. I also have been riding all my life and I'm 66. Hell, I cant even remember all of the bikes Ive owned. I remember the first one, it was a 66 Norton atlas. Rode it down old route 66 all the way to Calif. But to each there own man. Different stokes for different folks. Variety is the spice of life..i like it that way. Just an old hippie, Peace

Some of these comments kill me. "Rats" are like allowing the inner child within to become unleashed again, but with adult fabrication skills. They are works of art and designed to please no one but the creator, who enjoys the challenge. 90% of the joy comes in the fabrication and working out design flaws as you go along. Those who talk smack on here probably have next to no mechanical/ fabrication skills; They are the ones who buy a $20K bike and can't find the battery or drain plug. Of course these guys don't usually ride long distances on these bikes; That's not the point.

that's right, they are art... not really a true motorcycle. Real cycling is about the ride. Those just say, hey look at me I can follow trends and I don't mind putting others in danger to ride my dangerous POS on the street. I can't stand other riders who have no thought for others they share road with

These bikes are the best versions of men's art. I wanna find someone in the Cleveland area that can help me build my own or allow me to help build theirs. I have too many ideas for these style bikes. I've built lowrider bicycles all my life and this is the adult version of those for sure. Maybe they're a little less sparkly and shiny but thats exactly the way I like it. Great bikes though, every single one is amazing in its own way

They get all over my bikes and they are all bone stock but one as I cant find the bike or a set of stock pipes, so it's got toomies. I have a collection of 70's and 80's 2 stroke street bikes. 22 bikes atm and I ride every one of them at least once a month even if it's just around the circle drive lol. not much more room in my 3 bay garage. I need to make a video and I need to find a riding buddy. My riding partner recently passed away. Any interest in 2 strokes Cheers all

Ratrod use to be cobbling your ride together with whatever parts you could get not gluing goofy crap to your ride just to try to make it look cool or Ratty. In other words you don't do Rat on purpose it just sort of happens over time on its own,in short you can't buy Rat. Just like choppers are not store bought they start with a stock bike and you chop it. No such thing as a factory built new chopper.
