what are these fluttering sounds is it the turbo, the brakes or?

The fluttering you hear when they let off the gas from the front of the vehicle Is the Turbo External Wastegate. The wastegate helps regulate boost pressure and helps keep it from over boosting and dumps excess air into the atmosphere or the exhaust. The popping you hear from the back when they let off the gas is the Turbo Anti-lag system which forces air from the exhaust side back to the intake side to keep the turbo spooled up. It's one reason they are so quick and responsive. Hope that helped.
