32:40 as a Costco employee, I can say with confidence that it **IS** a Costco. You're right, we don't colour code our pallets. If you notice, every single product that is on the floor uses a white pallet. However, all other products that are being stored up on the orange shelves still have thier original pallet that they got delivered on. every supplier uses different sized/coloured pallets, and one of the merchandiser's (fancy word for employees who prep products for sale) main jobs, is to re-stack the product onto a clean white pallet. Different areas in the store are technically "colour coded". A certain section may only ever use white pallets for thier ground stock, while others may only use the blue ones. I've never seen an area use the red pallets tho, they always get send back to receiving.

Just to add to this the blue pallets are Chep pallets. Chep makes and leases out those pallets to anyone who opens an account with them. Its not cheap to start with but it means that when you send pallets of stock out you can call up Chep to get replacements and that you can make sure you always have pallets. Plain colour pallets are not super easy to find for cheap so its a valuable company to have and they aren't the only ones who do it Loscam does too.

The thing I love the most about these videos is how Damien makes himself laugh like a maniac. I love to hear him laugh. It's a healthy one that comes from the soul. Love it! Makes me crack up too.

Even worse is when a customer picks up that misplaced item, expecting it to be much cheaper. Most people will just shrug and accept the cashier's apology. But there are always a few who will absolutely lose their shit and throw a temper tantrum. And, of course, the people who pitch a hissy fit do so even when the price difference is something like $2. 🙄

i usually go out to stores with my family, and we're always annoyed by seeing the misplaced items (especially because my mom has worked in a lot of retail jobs) but we never have time to put any of them back where they go if I had the time and patience to do it, i'd literally go through the whole store just to return one item back to where it goes, and in my area i'd probably find at least a small cart's worth of OTHER misplaced items to look for, and the only motivating force i'd have is my love for organizing & cleaning things (though, at that point, It would start to look like I'm an employee regardless of if the store has a uniform so maybe i shouldn't do that)

@@fluffyfeathers2124 Other people may have a different opinion, especially in places with higher population density, but I got to the point where "shop backs" were never annoying, in and of themselves. (The aforementioned customer reactions were a different story.) They gave me something to do. Retail in small town gets boring between the hours of 5pm and 10pm. Only exception was in the pharmacy, where there are always Rxs to fill, phone calls to make, or inventory counts to do.

The worst instance I've seen of this is someone that left a frozen meal, in the bread isle, a very unrefrigerated place. It was very warm by the time I had found it. Well thanks whoever did that now that product is destroyed! :)

I don't think that's accurate. You can't be charged with shoplifting until you actually leave the stores last set of doors.

The push button on automatic doors is often not wired. They are battery operated and work like a garage door opener. Someone clearly got them mixed up after changing batteries.

At my highschool for senior prank day one year, 6 seniors decided to show up early and park their lifted, long-a** trucks sideways, breaching 8 SPACES! Like, honestly, I was impressed that they had enough braincells to realize that was even possible. So the closest 48 spots were taken up. Except a bunch of kids with smaller cars just parked them in completely. It was hilarious.

5:07 iirc the full story of that post is that, the dog had escaped the backyard, and when the owners went to the shelter to adopt another dog, they didn't realize that their missing dog was at that same shelter. Still sad, but thankfully later on the dog was adopted by someone willing to give him a loving home.

@@noahv1479 assumably, they really had no idea that the dog was there and had since given up the ghost on relocating their missing dog. They didn't know it really was their old dog there, and they had already gone there specifically to adopt another dog, so on the grounds of genuinely not knowing they might not be bad people.

The headphones. The longer one goes arround the back of your neck. This results in the cable not pulling on your ear and not going down the middle of your chest. It looks and feels nicer. It comes down from your shoulder and more easily goes to your pocket. The lump also makes it fit easier in your in your ears and hold better.

Cords aren't a single strand, they're several strands held together by the coating on the outside. Wrapping cords wrong can lead to the small cables inside them getting twisted and bent, and maybe even broken. Wrapping or storing cords wrong for long periods of time can lead to them having a ramen noodle sort of appearance, and drastically reducing their ability to work well, along with how long they last. Wrapping your cords properly can make them last for months, even years, longer than they would ordinarily. It might take a while to learn, and your cords will take up more space, but it's worth it in the long run.

For the spoon that had sand in it, the reason why is that the metal of the spoon was light and weak. To make it seem heavier and otherwise more durable, they fill it with sand to make the spoon seem stronger and heavier. This also leaves a nasty surprise shown at 36:50 if the spoon happens to break open. How do I know this? It happened to me with a (different type of) spoon that I used to make tea. Note: I don't like sand in my tea.

I believe emulation of older games is okay. For instance, I own pokemon colosseum, and when I found out there was a sequel (pokemon XD) WITH a miror B fight, I went to buy it. The game was discontinued years ago, so the price is around £100 for disc only

Emulation itself is fine. It's downloading and sharing the games that's illegal. So technically speaking, no, downloading Pokemon XD was not "okay". It was illegal as fuck. The big thing is that no one really cares unless it's a current modern console or PC game. Downloading roms and old iso files is about on par with downloading mp3s. Even downloading 3DS games, despite being fairly recent, isn't a massive deal anymore, because they're not making 3DS games anymore. It's still super illegal and you COULD potentially get in trouble for it. But you're not likely to get in trouble for downloading some.

I know this is an old video so this may not be see, but life hack for the ads on gas pumps @26:15 just press the help/call attendant button - it mutes the ad, when they answer just say you wanted to mute the ads. I know this is annoying for the attendant and it's not their fault, but it's not your fault either that this is the only way to mute the ads.
