Well this isn't exactly the video I had planned for today - there is something big behind the scenes that is being planned for Beethoven's 250th, but alas 2020 has been the year it has and things have been impossible to do. I've had a lot of people asking for a playlist of the videos without outros, so I put together a whole compilation of them for those who wish to listen to the more relaxing ones all in one sitting :D By the way, I'll be hanging out around Discord more these holidays, so if you want to come chat, join me here ♥ bit.ly/RousseauDiscord

I don't know if you read these comments or not. But I just have to say, thank you. This video has made such an impact on my life and my children's. I have 3 toddlers who are autistic and have struggled terribly with sleep issues. I noticed one of my daughters had a fascination with piano music and that's when I came across your channel. I put this video on every night at bedtime for them and they are actually sleeping through the night now. Their moods have improved, no more meltdowns, after 2 years of silence, my daughter is starting to actually say some words. All because they are actually able to sleep properly now. So thank you. I hope you make more of these long videos. My entire house loves them!

Tears rolling down my face as I listen to these glorious masterpieces. Why? Some of them I learned from Mrs. Prager, who charged $1 for my half-hour lesson. My final recital in 8th grade was Fifth Nocturne. Took lessons in college in my thirties, and worked hard on Moonlight Sonata. Heard and fell in love with Rondo alla Turca, and tried to master it myself, in my fifties. Today I am 74, and hearing these beloved melodies reminds me how truly blessed I have been to have this music in my life. My baby grand piano sits quietly, beckoning me by its presence to warm its keys, my music stowed inside its bench. Although I never performed as beautifully as this pianist, the joy of classical music has been a constant my entire life. And the tears stream on.

OMG my heart is melting! I have played piano since I was only about 5, but I never could afford lessons. I've had a keyboard since I was a kid, but it's rusty, and old. It barely works anymore and the speakers crackle. Music has been my most beloved companion through my 40 years of life, through marriage, a child, divorce, illness, military service... Never let your talents go, my love!

Then all of sudden, a tune comes on that is so breathtakingly beautiful that I have to stop what I am doing and go see who is playing it. And every time I do that, it's Debussy. He does it for me. funny enough: this video got me into classical music. When I listened to it for the first time and heard Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the flowers' I almost started crying because I had heard that piece a million times in my childhood, but forgot about it until I heard it again that day. I know probably no one cares, but I have been having a rough time dealing with depression. Yesterday was my first day listening to classic music on a playlist, and there was this moment where the song “daydreaming” came out and I just couldn't stop crying, not because I was feeling sad but because I was feeling something I had never felt before. This man is amazing.

People do care. If you find or think no one else cares then pray. One man will always care for you. Give Him your troubles and they shall be taken care of. If nothing else give your sadness to The Father. He will watch over you. Be careful, and I will pray for you, and I hope you get better.

Again, the magic of the internet! My mother has been gone for four years - age 94 - but she blasted classical in the kitchen my whole life, and she also played classical pieces on the piano which I never knew the names of, naturally, though I knew the melodies my whole life. Now, today, I have, after all these years, identified "Chopin - Waltz In C# Minor Op. 64 No. 2" at 1:17:17 as the piece I heard over and over as a 4-year-old boy, lying under the piano bench, blissing out at my mother's playing. She was deaf, too - wore two hearing aids her whole life. Yet music - classical - was a gift she enjoyed her whole life, and she played it LOUD because she was deaf, so the whole house was bathed in Brahms, Beethover, Mozart, all those guys, and we all benefited from it, especially me because i'm a musician. Thank you for this video!

Music is the ONE and ONLY thing that can truly bring us together and unite us no matter where your from where your heading or what language you speak you can still enjoy the same music as someone else no matter who you are and it is truly magnificent how uniting music is. Even if we don't get along we can put aside our differences and listen to music it calms the body and speaks to the soul in a way words can describe I have been touched by music and blessed to have the ability to hear these beautiful songs and to let my soul be touched in a way it never has. some people dont have that luxury.

@@ferdinand8801 I know that music is one of the if maybe the ONLY thing that brings us together, wich is kinda sad, but it's not only music, it's art in general. Storys, poems, paintings, songs, everything in the art world has a meaning and everyone has something of it, in my opinion one of the greatest inventions of humans. But it's just a sad fact for me that German music these days is just not my taste, classic music from Austrian and German composers in the other hand is just music on the piano, and it's something that I like and proud of that these kind of places are popular and from my Country.

back in 5th grade my teacher would frequently turn on classical music for everyone to relax and study to. I hated it. I don't really know why, but every time I just wished she'd turn it off. It made me anxious and I just wanted to move my body, like a metronome I would try to tap the beat, or my own beat lol. I think it just instilled such relaxing emotion in me that I was scared I'd fall asleep in class or something, or maybe I was afraid people would think I liked it. No matter what then, 8 years later im now an aspiring pianist. Feels like forever ago.
