One of my favourite things about him is his arms, he keeps them alive, and the timing of moving them affects his skating sm and the overall emotion. It sets the speed of the performance and creates an atmosphere.

in three olympic cycles: yuzuru graced us with confident parisienne walkways, dramatic romeo and juliet, passionate white legend, regal chopin, fierce seimei, gentle notte stellata, masterful rondo capriccioso, otherworldly ten to chi to, comforting haru yo koi - he keeps improving every time and putting out such beautiful masterpieces i am so blessed to be a fan of his while his is still competitively skating

The greatest and and the most courageous figure skater of all time. In 2022 winter Olympics, his pursuit of a 4A jump has inspired people around the world to follow their own dreams with faith and determination. His attempt of a 4A jump has earned him great respect that literally surpasses the victory of earning a third Olympic medal. Mr. Hanyu has already brought pride to his people and country with two Olympic gold medals and this time round a spirit as precious as gold embedded in his universe. Very well done! I wish him a full recovery and rest well. Looking forward to his out-of-this- world performances again.

@@Sparkle_Ice2007 His performance albeit with falls is better than other people's performance. Just like a diamond with slight imperfection it still shines. A perfect piece of glass remains a glass. Other skaters jump for the scores. The intentions showed on their faces. It's never the case for Yuzuru. He incorporates every step and every jump into an art. That's why the performance is capturing.

He might not have won a medal this olympics, but he for sure won the hearts of the people watching him.

At 4:47 The simultaneous translator said "I am the king of the Olympics," but he didn't say that. He just mentioned the fact that he was the Olympic champion twice, which means he feels the responsibility to act as such for all his life, never to disgrace the honor of being the "Olympic champion. It's a pity that only this part was quoted in this highlight video, because his interview had a lot of other profound statements.

Even though he didn't win, he got more views than the medalists. That alone speaks a lot about how brilliant he is.

The everlasting GOAT, the true Champion, the bravest pioneer, the history maker, the living legend!!! Yuzu is unique!! No one, there's no one can skate like him!!!

not sure why they only showed his failed jumps in Romeo and Juliette, the rest of the performance was brilliant

Without Yuzuru, not sure if will continue to watch this sport. He is the only figure skater who master the sport, not just the skills, but also how he delivers the performance in an artistic way. He is so deep into the music and express the story behind the music meticulously. A true performer and he really motivates a lot of people to work hard to make one’s dream comes true. Though not getting a medal in Beijing Olympics, I am sure he wins even more people’s heart. Thank you Hanyu san!

This is the comment I want to see!! Thank you! This video only shows the jumps but what Yuzuru Hanyu can do is much more than that. He is the COMPLETE PACKAGE.

Love the two commentators words. They respect Hanyu, understand the greatness of his challenge, and are honest to his contributions. Very better than Japanese TV.

What can we said? Living Legend! He is Mr. Figure skating. He is the light to darkness and shows the highest character and dignity of human being. Japan is so lucky to have him. I hope he can recover well.

You know, you missed the ACTUAL best moments of Yuzuru at the Beijing Olympics... Which were the private Greatest Hits shows he was giving the volunteers in the practice rink while the doping scandal drama unfolded. 17 to 27 ,at the first time loving Yuzu,We never once love you less.

All these years ISU try to make another FS superstar but when Yuzuru Hanyu is on ice you just know he's unique. Hats off to this two-time Olympic champion who is still making groundbreaking improvements.He deserves all the love from the world.

Although they may have been able to change the judging rules to his disadvantage and overscore someone else, what they should know is that they can NEVER fabricate a true star. I don't think there will be another figure skater who is loved and admired as much as Yuzuru.

Trust the fate! It is precisely because of the fourth place, that there is a press conference of the top three and a press conference of Hanyu! HUGE difference!

Yuzuru Hanyu is unique👑 He is the only reason I watch figure skating ⛸️

In a lot of ways, I felt especially frustrated for how much his popped 4S cost him in the short program. But I stayed to watch the Olympics in its entirety and went back to his previous interviews, conferences, even ones he held after the men's event. In my eyes, Yuzuru Hanyu, you are truly the best; you are uncontested, you are the greatest. You have worked hard to where you are now and you have only improved in your technique, in your artistry, in what you want to convey and express of yourself everytime you bet your life on the ice. You have won two Olympic gold medals, back to back, and no one can say you did not fight your hardest in Beijing. Despite the past four years, you stuck to the ambitions you have set for yourself and you continue to make history: a certified 4A on Olympic ice, despite injury, is yours. I am truly lucky to be in a lifetime where Yuzu fights and trains hard, where his efforts are clearly seen and loved by so many. I wish you the best, for your health, your career, and your passion! I am excited to see where Yuzu will go from here, and for "Yuzuru Hanyu's skating," which is irreplaceable.

To me he represents the overall beauty, power, and skill of a true athlete, from the way he moves to the costumes he wears. Sensational!

just wanted everyone to know that beijing is literally yuzuru's first international competition this season ....... it is also his second competition of the season too with nationals happening last december 2020 ........ to be 4th (i would say 3rd lol if scoring was fair) despite the unfortunate pop due to the hole, to attempt the closest 4A in history, while dealing with injuries and so much mental pressure from the world and most importantly from himself - truly a champion

I saw Yuzuru at Junior Worlds 2010, and I knew he would become an Olympic Champion. 10 senior seasons with him was a blessing for me. I’m incredibly proud of you, our Warrior and King!

Truly the Best. Before Hanyu Yuzuru, I never cared much for figure skating (he’s the only one I have heard about all these years even as a non-fan). He really captivated me this past Olympics and it’s been a delight watching more clips, reading his interviews and learning more about him as a figure skater, and as a person. So many beautiful performances with honed skills and deep emotions. Also figuring out more about the sport so that I can better appreciate his efforts. Would love to see him on ice with my own eyes in the future. ❤️

The first performance I ever saw of his was the Notte Stellata and I cried like a baby at how beautiful it was. I had never seen a routine that graceful and ethereal before.

Yuzuru Hanyu is THE Figure Skate! 👑🐐

This is Yuzuru Hanyu’s era. I feel lucky to be in it even i wish i could join sooner. Every performance of him are pleasant to watch and I can’t get enough of them. I love his skate and also his personality. I feel so privilege being a fanyu. He is not only an athlete but also a hero who inspire a lot of ppl all over the world including me too.

i am so blessed to have been able to witness him skate, even if it wasn't in person. his skating is truly artistic and will always stay like that. I'm glad he achieved his dreams of being an Olympic gold medallist, not once, but twice, and achieving the quad axel

The Legend of figure skating!

I disagree with the title. I understand the need to select a few moments in order not to have a very long video, but this, in fact, is a selection of jumps. Hanyu's jumps are extraordinary, when he performs them at his best they are something unattainable to anyone else, but they are not the only thing that makes Hanyu's programs so special. His musicality, the richness of his transitions, gives fewer points, but it is extraordinary. Focusing only on jumps detracts the sport and that extraordinary athlete that is Hanyu. I can't speak for the other sports, I don't know them well enough, but in figure skating Hanyu is the greatest skater of all time.

If you are a new fan, you have missed the golden era of figure skating. I think a massive follower of figure skating will leave when Hanyu retires because Hanyu is the last figure skater who knows and shows what figure skating actually is.
