Russian blue cats are known for their love of music. My sweet girl loves Chopin. I played it for her all the time and even through her battle with cancer. She has now passed away this past June and Chopin still holds such a special place in my heart because of her. RIP Queen Bunny

Sorry for you for having a trip to Poland. It's a country that was totally bombed in the WW2 and afterwards communists handled power to 1991. It's a mess. Warsaw is the worst. I think the only city worth wisiting js Cracov, because it has many elements of medieval history of Poland

I never understood Chopin the way I should have until I went through a period of love, pain, suffering and longing all the same time. 49 years old but better late than never I say 😊

When I was a little girl, I hated Chopin's nocturnes and ballads. I thought he was depressed and sad in everything he composed, which thwarted my joie de vivre as a kid. Now that life has made me mature a bit more, I appreciate his work deeply and feel emotions I have never felt before. I believe he reveals a deeper side of our existence, by allowing us to transcend our pain.

I am sitting in Bethlehem South Africa, by the bedside of my 96 year old mom. She is too weak to chew or talk and struggles to swallow. I live far away and came because I was notified about her deterioration. Yes she is old and weak but deserves that her dignity and quality of life be preserved until the end. Family resent me for “causing drama” to ensure she gets enough liquids etc. We feed her water, juice and liquid sustenance with a syringe between feeds. She is too weak to have a feeding tube fitted - it should have been done earlier. I can only imagine the discomfort that people like her may experience because of dehydration. She always loved Chopin. My phone is next to her head on the pillow so that she can be soothed by Chopin while she is slowly passing. Thank you for this collage. You mean more to her during the last days or hours (who knows which?) of her life than any words can say. It is also soothing my crushed heart. May you be blessed.

Same. Not the parents part - I only had one anyway. I'm agreeing with the tears part. Not many rock n' rollers listening to Chopin while they run or while they're in the shower...

Chopin will forever remain of my favorite componists. I am fascinated by the way someone can produce a piece of music that can move you and make you feel... I could listen for hours upon hours... Imagine the state of mind someone has to be to come up with this heaven in music form. It's pure genius!

I have been suffering from anxiety lately, and I was searching for calm music. Nothing helped. Randomly I searched for classical music one day, Beethoven showed up and then next in the line was Chopin nocturne, OP.9 No.2 E flat minor. Been listening to it since then, helped me with my anxiety. Right? We'll never stop being grateful for Chopin's genius who gave us such eternal masterpieces 🙏

His music feels like it tells such sad tales, but each one always seems to have that slight glimmer of hope or trepidation when turning into the next the next transition. I've never seen music like this played live 8n my country, and I can't wait for the day that I do get to experience it. It's so beautiful.

Chopin is absolutely my favorite composer. His Nocturnes are otherworldly. His Nocturne in C-sharp minor from his Opus Posthumous is one of my favorite pieces of all time to play

Chopin always was my favourite composer, something about his pieces that always makes me calm and relaxed.

Chopin keeps saving our melancholic hearts after his death. What a legend.

Wonder if such geniuses would be born again on this earth. The music written these days can’t be listened more than a few times, unlike these masterpieces which we can listen for many years many times and the next 20 generations can also enjoy.

Love Chopin, with his music he always calm me down . I feel joy, I feel I feel like a innocent child in heaven.

My favourite composer. He captured the human condition so perfectly - the beauty and the anguish.

I was looking at a portrait of Chopin and saw such sensitivity and suffering etched on his face. I thought the nature of genius is the ability to turn suffering into art which touches our hearts. Did he realize that he would still be reaching out and helping other struggling souls nearly 200 years after his death?

In such a tiring, hectic world, it's just awesomely good to sit back and listen to gentleness and harmony in real music.

Enfant, je détestais les nocturnes et les ballades de Chopin. Je pensais qu'il était déprimé et triste dans tout ce qu'il composait..cela gênait ma😃joie de vivre👦 enfantine. Maintenant, un peu mature dans la vie, j'apprécie profondément son travail et vis des émotions intimes que je n'ai jamais ressenties auparavant. Je me suis convaincu que Chopin révèle l'une des facettes les plus profondes de notre existence, nous permettant de transcender notre douleur. Merci et bravo Chopin..!!!

I've been listening to Chopin for 10 years now and every time is like the first. Chopin never gets boring and he's always a good choice. Always. Whether work, studying, relaxing, dinner party, some kind of reception... You can't go wrong with Chopin.

Of course not. I love Beethovens music, but particular pieces I like more than others. This is the same for Bach's music. Yet, I cannot think of a single one of Chopin's pieces I've heard that I've had any feeling of nuetrality to less toward. I have no idea how he could think to compose these pieces. Does he simply consider a melody, a key signature first? Brilliant.

"Best" is of course purely subjective. With composers at the level of Chopin, Beethoven et al, it is difficult to say what is "best". I am not sure that any of the great composers wrote any bad pieces, just some better than others.

Nocturnes, Op. 9: No 2. 2 in E-Flat Major, Adante is timeless. The gentle piano chords paired with the strong lead notes while playing the pauses with perfect conviction is just... aaa.

Listening to Chopin, to me, is like having everything I thought I wanted and yet softly longing for something that I am not sure exists and gazing out my windows somewhat enchanted by possibility that such thing could be out there, remote but reachable within my grasp.

Been listening to Chopin's music ever since I watched the anime Forest of Piano. I heard some of his famous pieces as I was growing up but I have never really appreciated classical music until now. His music can either stimulate or relax your mind and soul. I am listening to this right now while studying for an upcoming exam, not necessarily for focus but to alleviate my anxiety. And surely, his music makes wonders.
