It was! We had the best time. There was a 0% chance I was getting on a water ride after dark and Tyler knew that before he even ask 😂🤣

The title of this video was how I felt the first time I went to universal, right when you enter and the music begins, it’s such a magical feeling!

Awesome video. I hope they do something like that speakeasy at the winter meetups, that looked like so much fun. Those fries also looked really yummy 😋 This will be a year of firsts for my family. It will be our first time to Universal. At the end of our vacation HHN kicks off, so it will be our first time going to HHN. Finally, the first weekend in December will be our first OI Meetup. Me & my family didn’t have as much fun as we hoped to have at OI, we felt the food wasn’t worth it and there were still longer lines than necessary, some rides even making us wait for 30-45 minutes. And plus, we were told that the big rides (Hagrid’s Motorbike, Hulk, etc.) didn’t close until 20 minutes before midnight but when we went to Hagrid’s at 11:30 we were told the ride closed at 11:15 and we were too late. And when my mom tried to leave an honest review on the Facebook page, they kept deleting it, telling her to remove the negative parts and just keep the positive parts. I will admit, I did have fun, and certain rides didn’t have a super long line, and the churros were AMAZING! But my family felt that it might be better to invest in a premiere hotel and get the fast pass + season pass instead (we live farther up north, so we don’t visit super often, which probably affects our opinion greatly)

I guess Friday was better and crowds actually matched the advertising. Saturday nite was not worth it. Long lines for food and rides. Lots of people; no empty streets. 8 rides in 8 hours.

I seen alot of negative comments on the Facebook page Orlando informer that are now gone. Said ran out of food and long lines... I'm going in December let's hope the issue with food is fixxed. It's not a cheap event! Maybe they are selling more tickets to events. There is 3 in winter months.

@@johntate5931 Supposedly winter is significantly better because the parks actually close at 5, unlike in the summer, where the OI mix with regular guests until 8-9 making it no fun.

You're making me want to go to an OI meetup! My wife and I have never been to one but we love Universal. Glad you got to ride the Pteranodon Flyers. My wife and I want to but we need to have a kid with us. And Tyler, your apology to those of us who didn't get any fries (I really want the Margherita ones) is not accepted lol

She's absolutely correct on not riding a water ride at night even if it's warm out because we were there on Friday's OI meet and we rode Popeye's earlier in the evening before the park closed to day guests and I was freezing the rest of the night, and actually wound up with a severe shivering episode by the end of the night once it started raining. Still a lot of fun. I found it insane how fast the time passed. I felt like we didn't get anything done!

It really does fly by! I knew better about the water rides, too lol. We got drenched with rain last year for HHN and I was miserable all night! You need the sun to be out to dry you off! Lol

I went to the event on Saturday. I agree that it was absolutely the best time I have ever had at a theme park. We also got to ride the Pteradon Flyers for the first time as well...been waiting 20 years. Was so grateful. The only thing we missed out on was the goodbye visit to the Monsters' Cafe. Orlando Informer puts on an excellent event and they are a super bunch of people. Can't wait until November; we are going again!

We gave them a song and dance story about how we've never won a single thing in our lives even after entering every raffle and lottery on the face of the earth due to our cursed luck that transcends a millennium of generations in our family tree. The good news is we got to finally ride. The bad news is that every word we told them was the honest truth.

Whoever came up with the speakeasy thing and to have the feds all come in to kick everyone out at the end is an genius concept! Bravo to whoever this idea came from. Chances are that person probably got no credit and someone who did not come up with the idea took all the credit. Universal be like that though. Brilliant idea however and as cheesy as it is seems like a lot of fun. I know it's against the rules but I really wished the actors were able to keep the costumes overnight and for the to keep they're costumes on and all go to like a Denny's or something to order food and be in character the whole time would be funny to see I think.

It really was a fantastic idea! We hope that person got credit, too, because it was so much fun. The most fun we've had in forever! It is kind of crazy that the team members don't take their uniforms or cstumes home. We just found out about that recently!

The most fun thing I have ever done at Universal would have to be experiencing Diagon Alley and seeing Hogwarts in person for the first time. Our favorite part about OI Meetups isn't the food. Not the short lines. Not even free churros! It's the extended after-dark park hours. The parks have a different character after dark; and we love it!

Glad y'all had a great time. Thanks for sharing ur highlights. The Speakeasy looked like bunches of fun & the unique food items a treat ... literally (except the "frosty"). BUT. I. Don't. Get it. You were able to go one 1 ride (granted, it's a lottery, maybe X granted), have 2 small orders of fries & a "frosty"... for $219 for one night, plus processing and tax??? I've a UOAP, can buy a lotta food & UNlimited Express for a whole day for $219.00. What am I missing. (BTW, let's hope they open a speakeasy in Epic's Wizarding World!)

There were lots of “behind the scenes” things we just can’t show in the video! We stopped and talked to several of our friends that we ran into throughout the night, we spend an hour in the speakeasy enjoying ourselves the first time we went in there. We had over an hour of footage from the meetup that we had to cut down into an entertaining and watchable video. Not to mention the snacks we got before the parks closed to daytime guests with the food & beverage cards that come with your ticket. As a passholder, we can understand your confusion because you have access to the parks all the time, but for people that don’t get to visit often it’s a great opportunity!

I want to be best friends with you both! You just give off such a positive and fun energy. I love your videos so much!!

We were there and ALMOST got tickets as they were available for Friday, but for three of us it would have around 800. Would have been nice to see monster's Cafe though. Wondering if some of those props will make it to Epic Universe monster area... Thanks for sharing the event! Maybe we'll go another time.

It wouldn’t shock us if they reuse some of the props from the cafe! They’d be crazy not to! The meetup tickets are definitely an expensive “add-on” to an existing trip. Lots of people choose to buy them in place of tickets, which makes more sense to us!

This Christmas will make our 4th time attending. I love love to do the summer one. I just can’t get the time away. Also, I just realized we live in the same state. I live very close to Johnson city. How many times do you get to go to universal a year. ? Sis and I get to go about 3. We may go 4 this year. Don’t know yet.

The meetups are so fun! We’d be there this winter, too. We can’t wait! At this point we have to visit almost monthly for content, but we used to visit 3-4 times a year before the channel!

We planned to after Monster’s cafe, but we decided to revisit the speakeasy instead! The restaurants stopped serving at 12:30, so we just ran out of time! Lol we were as shocked and disappointed as you were! 🤣

We haven’t! We have actually only been to the water park once ourselves. We have plans to do some videos, but we need to get down there and get some more footage first!

Monster cafe I bet will return when Epic Universe opens . They should put in the monster land. What do you think?😏.

You might have to wait in line for rides such as Hagrid’s and 5-10 minutes for VC. Other than that the park is wide open!

Was hagrids and velocicoaster open? If they were how long was the waits for them?

They were! We’re not sure what their waits were, we didn’t make our way over to that side of Islands. The crowds are pretty low, though, so I can’t imagine they were very long!

do you know about any other events like this at night? no waiting in line and free food. maybe in the summer or whenever???

They have several events this winter! I’m not aware of any other companies that host events like this, but the OI meetups are so fun! You can see all their dates on their website!

LOL I had a great time, but those two drinks didn’t get to me. We were just enjoying ourselves!

I know I'm a few days late to ask, but hopefully can still get a response. I got tickets for the November informer and had a question. We're going to the park the same day in the AM and was wondering when it hits 5pm do we need to "leave" the park to get our informer packs then reenter or can we get them in the morning when we first arrive and just stay all night? Thank you if you get back to me!

Hey there. Typically you will get an email telling you when you need to check in! You will have to leave the parks to go check in and get your bracelet and other items for the event!

The Orlando Informer meetups are a separately ticketed event hosted by the company Orlando Informer!

Nope! The OI ticket will give you admission to both parks at 5PM. You only need a ticket (or AP) if you want to go earlier than 5!

You can buy tickets to their events! They sell them on their website! If you google Orlando Informer, it should pop up!

We would assume there’s some kind of wait for Hagrid’s and maybe Velocicoaster, but we didn’t have any crowd issues! They do a great job managing how many tickets they sell!

@@ThePughTwo my family usually goes down from east TN 6 to 8 times a year and have yet to take a trip for OI meet up. This is one of the things that I have been wanting to do for a while. Glad we finally made a plan to do it.

Thanks for letting me know about the Pteranodon Flyers use a lottery. I'm going to my first OIM event in December exclusively to ride this. Any more tips to ensure I can ride? The unlimited food & such is great, but I'm trying to check this off my bucket list too!!

Haha we hope you get picked!! Someone else said they didn’t get chosen, but were given tickets for it at the guest services desk. They just asked nicely, so that’s a possibility!

😣I wish I was there...I'm so ready I don't know what to do with myself lol! How do you know where the food will be....do they give you a flyer/brochure for the night?!!

😂😂 they do! They also send out a digital copy beforehand so we had some time to read it over and prep for the night. They really do a great job running this event!
