The Tanks are so nice but the Emperor Angelfish is an absolute no go! Not even in juvenile size. This is Fish abuse. The Tank 👍 The Angelfish 🚫

I completely agree! That’s why I mentioned it in the video, it’s one of my favorite saltwater fish but I will never be able to keep it because I can’t keep a tank big enough. 🙌

I had a blue tang also for a short period and now the blu tang is super fine in another tank and before it was super healthy in mine too. This angelfish in in health and have normal behavior so it’s not suffering, I won’t keep it for many months from now, I ll give it away before the end of the summer

They probably attached themselves! If you put a small piece of it near the background, it will start growing on it! Like moss… but this is the saltwater equivalent 😝

I glued gsp to a small rock and placed the rock next to the backwall. The green star polyp coral will eventually grow onto the back panel. Give it a shot

Am also doing the green star polyps on the back so they can grow

@@paraisoreef it’s not a model that you can buy separately, unless you email redsea and ask. It s the skimmer it comes with the max nano

Amazing tank, just know if you have a challenge keeping plants alive this is not likely for you. Salt reef tanks go sour easily (especially micro-tanks) and quickly, vacations are so risky. Beautiful tanks bring us into the hobby and may sick tanks later often drive most out. They are so relaxing and beautiful when working right.

I’ve kept freshwater before I set up my saltwater tanks, I have to say… I had more problems with my freshwater tanks and I found it way more difficult 😝

U can have beautiful aquariums with soft corals which is way easier, but also the difficulty in keeping other corals can be fun in the hobby

There’s an aquarist in the UK who specializes in macro algae. His KZread is called: the every day aquarist If you’re looking for macro algae that maybe the way to go. Good luck :)

Thank you!! I’ll definitely see if it’s possible to get those macro algae over to the EU. I know of a few other places in the UK, but none of them can ship out of the UK. :(

man if I didn't live in such an earthquake prone area I would so have a nano reef tank 😭💖 can't risk the little critters tipping over though 🥺

That’s sad to know, but you could do a saltwater tank like paludarium where the water level is way lower than the top it the tank so water won’t get out even with earthquakes

@Reefluo it's not the water getting out that I'm worried about it's the entire tank tipping 😭 they get pretty strong here and furniture falling over does happen

Put a bang a Cheese and onion crisps next to the tank and it will stop tank tipping in a earthquake.

It's a Red Sea Reefer Max Nano, the other one is a Reef Casa Pico 6.

Mine was packed very well, it has to be.. because it’s glass of course haha.. I have yet to hear of someone who received a cracked tank. And even if the tank gets delivered cracked, I’m confident they will take care of ya! I’ve seen Reef Casa tanks pop up all over the world. So that’s a great sign 😎

It’s simple coral but definitely very eye catching

Buying fish to temporarily house them does no good for the hobby. It sets a bad example for people thinking they can give away a fish because it outgrows their tank. Keep fish that you can care fkr their entire lifetime people!

Why would you have an emperor angel in a 20 gallon nano? So dumb!

I wouldn't recommend a nano tank to a beginner, its gonna be alot harder for stabilization.

Im an avid diver and snorkeler and seeing this fish and coral being sampled from ocean reefs just for the fancy of someone makes me angry.

A lot of species in the aquarium trade are grown and bred on farms and not taken from the ocean. Yes, there is still some wild caught stuff.. but it’s becoming less and less.

there’s organizations that take from reefs and grow the corals out many times faster than in the wild and re release them with protection so they can hold on to the reef while they attach so yes stuff is taken sometimes but most in the aquarium trade has been captive bred/ grown for a long time now plus this can preserve some species that would otherwise be smothered in nature and could be kept alive while we get its home just right & put it back one day :)
