The best naked bike I've ever been on - Triumph Street Triple 765 RS

This is about as good as it gets for naked motorcycles regarding how well everything works in sync and how smooth it rides.

More RPM (like more happy zone 😊), more braking power (brembo stylema) and better suited to the track day (moto2) 💛💛💛 and Cosmic Yellow is awesome 🤗

I just got the yellow RS. My previous bike was MT-07. Triumph feels really premium and is super smooth. Only negatives I can think of are: terrible rev counter animation and a side stand which is difficult to use. Other than that it is perfect. However I still think that MT-07 is one of the greatest bikes ever.

I think you might can change the display layout to another theme if I’m not mistaken. Not sure if that changes the rev counter though.

@@BlackRiverRider It's all a variation of the same bad animation. Triumph had the perfect animation, Ducati-ish, on the '19 & '20 models and then abandoned it.

That’s unfortunate. Thing is it’s software so they could just do an update on it to fix it but doubt that would happen.

if you put it into style 2 or 3 i believe and turn off all the display visuals besides tachometer you get a number readout and its super easy to read instead of the crappy visual animation, how I have mine setup and its great.

It is a great motorcycle, but I wouldn’t recommend for a first bike based on its power. I think you should check out the triumph trident if you like the naked look with a triple cylinder sound.

@@BlackRiverRider is it impossible to learn on a decent powerful bike. Or is it just to not amplify mistakes. I've ridden dirt bikes before but not in years. Everyone always says they wouldn't recommend a powerful engine but it's not like I'm going to be racing in the streets lmao.

@@Dooby0071 It’s not impossible at all, people do it all the time. It’s just that when you’re a new rider you have to focus on so many things other than the bike and one with lots of power makes it harder to do that. Just a little twist in the grip makes it go pretty quick depending on the gear. I grew up riding dirt bikes too before getting into motorcycles and it was a completely different animal altogether. Ultimately though, car drivers is your biggest problem to get used to, because they will constantly put you in danger so having to focus more on the bike so it doesn’t get away from you takes less attention away from keeping you alive. Whatever you decide to do, please go take an MSF course first if you can. It is invaluable and something riders of all skill levels can benefit from.

I test road a yellow RS yesterday. I really love the bike except for a couple of things. the display could be better. and most of all I wish it had a full fairing. I was wearing a 3/4 helmet and I had the strap a little to loose. and when I got up around 140 kilometer. which is around 86mph the helmet literally lifted off of my head and was only held on by the strap around my throat. so you have a bike that is capable of doing 150 mph. but even at 86 mph you are being hammered by the wind. so any high speed riding would have to be in little spurts. but if it had a full fairing you could actually really enjoy that top end. the breaks on the bike are top notch. and the combination of it feeling composed most of the time but also feeling super light is really nice. in really slow traffic you can idle the bike in first gear and the engine does fine. no gagging or buckling or whatever you call it. I own a 2017 Ducati 939 Supersport and I love everything about the bike. it has similar ergonomics to the RS but with a fairing. but the 939 does not like being at 2000 rpm and doesn't want to idle along in any gear at those rpm's the twin engine wants to get above 3000 rpm. but the bike has more low end and midrange punch then the RS. but I think the RS is overall a faster bike if you are just flying through the gears with the quick shifter at high rpm's. but to me the biggest advantage to the RS is how great of a city bike it would be because it feels like you are maneuvering a small light bike like a Ninja 400 when you are going between cars at low speeds. its an amazing combination of light weight but still stable. but not quite as stable as my 939. I will be keeping my eyes out for a 2nd hand yellow one which I might start to see maybe a year from now. I also tested a Trident. Speed Twin 1200, and the 900 Tiger I think it's called. and inside the dealership they had one of the top model 765's with the clip on bars. but it said sold on it. where I live the Triumph Street Triple RS is a $14.000 dollar bike. that is why I will be keeping my eye out for a second hand one. because I wouldn't mind owning one for a second nice bike. and I love different engine styles. so I would eventually like to own a triple to go along with my V twin. and also an inline four would be cool. if I can get a house with a garage there are probably five bikes I would like to eventually own.

Yeah all naked/standard bikes really suffer from the wind which is the one thing I don’t like about my mt07. If Triumph comes out with a Triple 765 in the same style as the Tiger Sport 660 I’d be very interested in getting one as that would be about perfect I think. So far though I think Suzuki GSX-S1000GT checks all the boxes for me.

@@BlackRiverRider Doesn't Yamaha have a bike just like the tiger with the MT07 engine on it. personally I don't really like how tall that style of bikes are. they are comfortable but not for me. I like to be able to put my feet flat on the ground. or close to being flat footed.

Ma come si fa a provare una moto come la Street in una strada tutta dritta. La Street è una mangia curve, il suo terreno sono le strade tutte curve da ginocchio a terra sempre. Che senso ha provarla in strade tutte dritte. 🤷
