Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make my updated version of my caldo de camarón • Caldo de Camarón | Mex... seriously super delicious!!!

Tip : make sure the chayote is cut into small pieces otherwise, throw it in with the carrots and pitatoes since it does take a while to cook😊
Ingredients:
2-4 lbs raw shrimp
5 New Mexico or guajillo Chile pods
Chile árbol I used 4
3 roma tomatoes
1/2 white onion
3 garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
7 oz tomato sauce
Cilantro or epazote
1 Mexican squash or chayote
3 carrots
3 small potatoes
I used baby corn but you can use whole
4 celery sticks
2 tsp vegetable, chicken or shrimp bouillon
5 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground dried shrimp add more if you want strong shrimp taste
1 tsp whole black pepper
1 tsp Mexican oregano
1 serving of love 💕

Can you substitute another meat instead of shrimp? I'm allergic to seafood.

Hello Claudia! Is this soup spicy if it is can I use something else besides those chillies? I'm getting ready to go to Colorado and I would like to make this for my daughter and my grandson. Can I substitute it with something different besides those chillies? You look absolutely gorgeous tonight!

Claudia, Ever since one of my favorite restaurants here in Tucson closed due to the Pandemic (El Indio), I've been craving this soup so badly. Made this soup this last weekend for the first time and it turned out PERFECT!!! Only changed a few things. Had to tone down the chilis for the Mrs, and I added some bay scallops & fish fillets towards the end, as you mentioned late in the video. Soup still tasted outstanding!!! Thank you so much for making this video and now providing me the confidence to reliably make this recipe. Keep posting videos, I'm learning so much! Zk
