Hell no, my af spidey was gummy and hard to pose while the RYV spidey has articulated toes, more ariticulation on the abs, and just overall better sculpt on the muscles

Great Scarlet Spider. Much better than the 2 previous versions.

I literally was just looking at this on BBTS, then i saw the video. Definitely getting this guy.

The bloopers at the end are a nice touch

Little known fact about me, the 3.75 Scarlet Spidey was a huge part in getting me back into figures and MU and Legends and KZread reviews and the whole thing. I still love that little fig, this Legends figure looks quite amazing, I do love my mafex but I must have this Legends too! Great review bro.

Spectacular review, Shart! The Scarlet Spider costume has always been dope. I'm not surprised this figure is so popular. I like it. I would get one, if I still collected Marvel Legends. The Black Series and McFarlane DC Multiverse eats up my entire toy budget.

Your geeking out is justified! This is definitely (in my opinion) the best Scarlet Spidey hands down! I've been taking this fig everywhere with me and I cannot put it down! Excellent vid/review ✌️

I still absolutely love my Mafex Scarlet Spider but it's kinda crazy that the new Hasbro Scarlet Spider's belt and hoodie design are so much better and more accurate than the way more expensive Mafex ones.

A "sensational review, Shartimus. I was lucky and found Scarlet Spider in the wild at Target. I agree he is the best version so far.

The RYV mold is great for Spider-Man figures and variants and hopefully for some teenage or lean characters. Definitely a cool Scarlet Spider figure! I hope we can get all the members of the Spider-verse upgraded in this way.

This is possibly my greatest find. I was gonna pre order him but I walked into one of my local stores and spotted him in the corner of my eye, he was the last one too. Goddamn is this figure so cool and Scarlett Spider is one of my favourite alternate characters and costumes. I’m so happy I picked him up

Having pre-ordered it in November and received on March 11, for me the best Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider (invisible hole at elbow and knee level).

When you tilt his head all the way up, a PEZ candy pops out of his neck!

This one is already gone up in after market with all the money Hasbro makes and doesn’t put into the figures they can produce more

I found mine in my local Walmart, and I love what it's got. Wanna do the jacket replacement you see on the internet I feel like it'll be much better.

That's the first figure I ordered 2 of.

8:31 They're not backwards, they're on the wrong legs/sides; right upper boot should be on left and left upper boot on right. They've got this weird outward angle to them that makes the legs not come down straight.

Great review and video as always Shart. I think RYV Spidey is adult Spidey, Walmart exclusive/Spider Friends/Amazing Fantasy Spidey is teenager Spidey. At least that is how i look at them and know where to place them in my collection. And yes, we should have gotten an unmasked Ben Reilly head with this release, and i am impatiently waiting for them to release both Kaine and Ben's other costume on the RYV bodies because they should all be having pinless arms and legs with toe articulation. Plus Kaine should be taller than both Peter and Ben. I would imagine putting Kaine on the Vulcan body...

I think this Scarlett Spider looks great! I have it on pre-order on EE... so it's gonna be a while. But oh well. I wish I could have found the Animated Spider-Man, I've considered getting it from Aliexpress, but I never pulled the trigger, probably isn't available there anymore.

Shart we needed a blonde Ben Reilly head for the Ben Reilly: Spidey we got in 2022. This version of Ben had his hair brown. That first (and only) blonde head was released in error, if you are going by the comic run.

Fire figure. And ryv.. yeah it's the definitive Spidey for now. AF is cool too and I'm happy to have it but I still prefer ryv.. But I will say.. I'd kinda like to see what miles would look like on the Af bodybuck

Now that we have a brand new definitive Ben, I pray we get a Kaine on the Sam’s body and a Miles on the amazing fantasy mold.

Hey Shart, friendly tip: you don't gotta heat up anything to correct Jack-O-Lantern. Just use the ankle pivot and boot swivel to rotate the calf appropriately

Was gonna pass on this because I’m pretty happy with my first release Scarlet Spider but after seeing the comparison I grabbed this guy. Thanks for always including those comparison shots.

What were the webs that you were using in the photos? They look awesome!

It's such a great figure. The RNYV body mould is brilliant with its added toe articulation. Hasbro should be placing this on all spider-man figures going forwards as well as the 3 sets of hands. Though apart of me does prefer the first Retro card spider-man 😅

Only thing I can't get over is the bright candy red color as opposed to the last one's darker red. Otherwise it's perfect.

That is a keen observation that Ben Reilly on the RYV body is Hasbro's way of stating the RYV is their primary/616 Spidey. I prefer the AF15 body myself, but I can see why they would want to make the RYV the primary.

I think this one gives the Mafex figure a run for its money. When you consider the price difference, I'll get this one. I like the size and proportions better as well as the placement of the Spider logo on the hoodie.

A pet peeve of mine is that when it comes to alternate heads, Ben didn’t dye his hair blonde until he became actual Spider-man. When he wore the Scarlet Spider suit he had brown hair 😉

I was so looking forward to picking him up but unfortunately that huge Gap between head and neck is , wow way obviously big. Ajaja im afraid if dropped could break ,? If only the head and neck were designed a bit better to fit correctly, Id say we have a great figure there, Well I'll have to catch him on a discount. And modify his head 🗣️ and neck 🧣.for a better fit and durability.😂👍

What I don't like is hasbro will put extra heads in some and not in others. Also what's with not giving Scarlet Spider webs. Hasbro did for Peter Parker's Spider-Man. Just reuse the webs. On eBay the original white card Scarlet Spider which has Ben Riley's head is now $90.00. bc of this rerelease it dropped from $125.00. I bought this one for $30.00+. it's like whoever is selling it, thinks the head is worth $60.00 essentially.

7:29 They're not completely the same body plan, at least Ben Reilly Spiderman has chest swivel and lower ab crunch (which is close to the RNV type, and I prefer), wile Scarlet Kane has a waist swivel and chest crunch.

Mafex vs Marvel Legends They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Mafex "weakness" is they chose to go with the more recent Scarlet Spider hoodie over the the 90's design. Not sure if that was a Marvel mandate or what but that was a bit silly. Both of them not having unmasked heads is a negative. Marvel legends has all the same weaknesses of a RYV body. Also that head cavity just does not look good. So yeah get both. RYV vs AF Body I think both work. I think it depends on what your prefered look is. Throw Mafex into the mix and well Spider-man just has a lot of body types thanks to the various artists. I'd argue when Spider-man is solo(or in the Spider verse) being a big beefy guys makes sense. When he's in the Avengers, maybe he should be smaller or slender. But they need to make a Spider-man with a lower ball joint torso, articulated neck, loose the drop down hinges.

The Blonde Ben Reilly headsculpt is cool, but technically speaking, Ben didn't bleach his hair while wearing this suit, he had his standard brown hair, but just very ling

Put retro ben reilly head on renew your wows spiderman, and you will have definitive spiderman from animated series

Actually the Kaine Scarlet Spider is on the Sunfire mold I think, not the vintage or retro collection Spidey mold like the Ben Reilly one. It predates the retro 90's collection by a bit.

I think the ML Scarlet Spidey might have been an easier pick, except that his web shooters are too big and make him look like his has gorilla arms. I do also prefer the Mafex's proportions more than the ML, but at the end of the day it's $25 vs $80-ish depending on where you can find the Mafex.

Same. And even if you wanted you could fork over another like 20 bucks you could get a soft goods hoodie and it would basically be on par with Mafex. That’s what I’m gonna do

I'm sorry, but I don't think it's close, the newer Legend figure looks better all around than the Mafex. Not just the sweater, but the thighs look so much better. I do like the smaller web shooters on the mafex, and I think the arms are better, but the shoulders on the legends is much better that it eliminates any advantage of the mafex.

A neck joints its what's missing in articulation. Plus, no webs as usual. I'm surprised the Mafex looks very bland.

Big Time Spidey on RYV body actually F that. Future Foundation Spidey on RYV body. & I don’t wanna see ANY white paint. it should all be molded white plastic with black paint on top.

Have you seen "Displaying Model Behavior" his video on Scarlet Spider-Man it breaks during the video. I love Mafex, they're beautiful but you really have to be cautious. "Is this a good one or a QC issue one" 😔

@@CarlosSoto-xe2we I have over 10 Mafex figures and the only issues I ever had were a loose butterfly joint, and tight shoulder joints I wouldn’t skip out on the brand because their figures are amazing Also Hasbro has some pretty bad QC issues, the No Way home wave was pretty notorious

You have over 10!! I'm jealous!!! I have 4, 2 I inspected they seem like they're good, the other 2 I'm scared to open 😅 They're probably ok, I just feel bad for people that do get QC issues. Hurts more if it's top tier like Mafex vs Marvel Legends

The mafex is better overall, but the proportions on this guy are far more 90s-inspired. Mafex always makes their figures skinnier and shorter than they should be. Neither came with a Ben Reilly head for some reason, though.

I almost never prefer Mafex. Killer accessories and articulation but I hate the baby hands and the liberties taken in design choices.

Eh. Mafex version is way better. Hasbro can not execute a double ball peg for a neck for whatever reason for one and I have no clue why they keep doing the back breaking backwards bending and almost no foward movement

I don't know. The mafex looks too soft and skinny. Also the proportions are off, like his feet and hands are too small for his body.

The head when looking up is disturbingly bad.
