I know what kind of abuse do the subject their tools to? I’ve had mine for at least 15 years and never had a problem. But of course I don’t throw it around, I rinse it thoroughly after use, and make sure it’s dry before I put it away.

His voice cracking t the beginning was precious.
I have used this juicer for a long time.........I love it, and it always renders more juice from a lemon than the recipes call for.........when it says juice of one lemon.....using this juicer, you get more out of the lemon than is called for! Great product!
Love it. For 1 or 2 lemons, I use my green glass juicer that's probably from the 1930's, and cleans up great in the top rack of my dishwasher. My other go to for large batches of juice is the juicer attachment to my model 9 Sunbeam Mixmaster circa 1946. The reamer, bowl, and metal strainer also clean up well top rack dishwasher.
Thanks for the video!!!!!!!!!! I just put the juicer on my wish list. Love from Vermont
I have an OXO double-sided citrus juicer (#4 in the lineup). I've had it for ages and have used it on lemons, limes, and various sized oranges, 'though not 200 in one go. I've never had any difficulty getting the juice out of the citrus halves. The reamer has two sides, one larger, one smaller, easy to switch. The juice is strained, so the seeds stay in the top, not in your juice (If you love pulp, it's easy to retrieve it from the reamer and add back to the juice). The container has measuring lines, so if you're just juicing a bit, you know when you have enough. There's a pour spout, too. The bottom has grippers on it, so it doesn't slide. It comes apart into three simple to clean pieces, then reassembles easily. Thanks for the testing and your review. That's a lot of lemonade!
Love the Test Kitchen! Just ordered their #1 Juicer recommendation. Never disappointed!
I had to just buy one, the winner here, is now the New winner in my kitchen! Thanks ATK! Your amazing always.
On your recommendation we bought the Chef n’ Fresh Force Citrus juicer. We love it! Thanks for tjis video! And for the juicer rec!
You guys do the best, and most informative reviews of kitchen appliances, and kitchen gadgets. I recently purchased the Vitamix 5200 blender because of your review. And I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Let's see, I've purchased the Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus Food Processor; the Breville BOV800XL Smart Oven; the Bona Vita Metropolitan Coffee Brewer; the Trizor XV Knife Sharpener; the Borner V3 Mandoline; and the All Clad D3 Cookware collection; all based on your reviews. I have this same manual citrus juicer (recommended by ATM at least a couple of years ago), I use it nearly every day, sometimes to get A LOT of juice (for pies, lemonade, etc.), sometimes for just a teaspoon or two or a couple Tablespoons at most, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I've been using the lime version (it is green) of the squeezer for 2 years bartending. The chrome finish has changed/disappeared. I don't know if the juice reacted to it or if it slowly leaked into the drinks. I still like the norpro, the orginal style you tossed away at the beginning. I never had any chipping, flaking, etc. The only reason I don't use it anymore is that it walked off. (thanks coworkers). Mileage will very.

Still love my glass,$1, garage sale oldie. Easy to clean and it has slots to keep the seeds from going into the juice.
Thank you for the video I was looking for the best juicer to buy for my 2 lemons I buy every week
Love watching this show!!
I have one like the first one. Except mine has a cap that will open and close which allows you to not use an entire lemon if you just need a few tablespoons of juice. It works fine. You roll the lemon first. then put the spout through one of the ends and squeeze. The best part is that it was free inside my bag of lemons.
When I need the pulp the reamer works well,as for juice going everywhere just get a bigger bowl.
I was hoping you would include the Joseph Joseph Helix juicer in your review; I’ve been using one with great success. I think it would compare well with the Chef’n Fresh Force that you folks liked.
Can the winning juicer also do limes well or do we have to buy the lime version as well?
I bought the Chef n' Fresh juicer in 2021, and the silver coating is starting to crack and peel. I also have problems with the size of a half lemon fitting in the bowl, and I frequently have to quarter the lemons using this model. I came here looking for something better.
i would really want to see electric fruit and vegetable juicers that would be amazing... i have one like what you show and there really good!! :)
Can i also juice limes with this? I dont want to have to purchase 2 different ones for lemons and lime.
Try the lekue silicone citrus juicer. I have two. They direct juice, catch seeds, and can be used to store the cut lemon or lime. They are easy to clean, and take little room for storage. Sometimes the seeds block the hole, however a masterful design allows you to pour out just the juice from around the fruit. Yes they do require manual squeezing, but so does the winning model you show.

Press style juicers are the best by far! I have 3 different sized juicers, lime, lemon, and grapefruit.
Oooh, I'd like that new hand juicer. It looks much easier to squeeze. I want it. I just order both one for limes and lemons.
Useful content!
awesome review. You guys are always so thorough. Just ordered my new juicer!
The best juicer I've ever used is one that I literally can't find online for the life of me. I got it as a "gift" from someone who was cleaning out their basement before they moved and they found this sealed juicer with an Amazing Savings sticker on it. It's all plastic, has a cup/pitcher, the juicer top, and a lid with little notches that grip the lemon rind and allow you to twist it really easily. It literally scrapes every bit of juice out of the thing. But it's annoying to clean. I'm curious if the Chef'n Freshforce is any better!
An ordinary reamer gets more juice out with less fuss and is cheaper. The problem for them is that you probably already have one. I am beginning to think they get some kind of kick back for selling stuff..
I've always gotten more juice using the reamer then the ceramic/metal press squeezer
I'm looking for a little thing to put in my purse for use at the restaurant to get the juice out of the little lemon slice on my water glass. Nothing you tested was small enough for my needs.
The last lemon juicer is more impressive.Where can i buy the item?
Been using it with the lemon upside down.
What kind of hand strength do you need to use the winning juicer? I have small hands, and I've found your former favorite juicer hard to use.
@jayceperlmutter4317
4 жыл бұрын
If you need to juice more than 3 or 4 fruits, the orange/grapefruit ones can be a strain to close (because of how far apart the handles are at rest), but once you get to the comfort range for your hand span, it doesn't really take strength.
Oh hey, I have the old favorite enamel one and the enamel is chipping. Guess I know what I'll be replacing it with!
I love my old fashioned wood reamer for juicing lemons, limes, oranges. It cost 1/10th the price of your recommended juicer and I’ve never had issues with it going everywhere like you said. Maybe you just need a bigger bowl? I don’t know. I’ve never once had that happen.
Nothing beats a good reamer.
I'm going to start wearing my collars up. You look so sophisticated Julia, I'll get my hair cut short at the back .

I cracked my lemon/lime juice and had to go through two to be happy. This video came too late after I purchased two.
It’s funny, I had one and tossed it out because I was using it wrong. A tip, juice the lemon cut side down, then flip it over and squeeze it again cut side up, even more lemon juice!
I get more juice from the press with cut side up, and less of the juice from the skin which can make it too tart

I wish the main body of the Chef N' Press juicer wasn't plastic. We have enough microplastics in our food supply without forcefully pressing citric acid across them before ingesting. Make it all stainless steel.
There are less expensive versions of the recommended squeezer, and they work pretty decently imo. Great for a bar.
The juicer that was screwed into the side of the lemon was done wrong. You screw it into the stem end of the fruit and pop the stem out then screw the juicer into the fruit and juice away.

I have been a subscriber to you guys for 20 years. Digest that a little bit. I am committed! And I will be getting one of these citrus juicers the moment I have the cash to do so. I have made you a recipe for lemon bars, and as wonderful as they are, I have found one that is even better. It is over the top but man are they awesome! I forget the name of the author, but the title of the book is simply called flower. In the book, The Recipe is called lemon lust bars. It makes a 9 by 13 inch pan full of lemon bars, and you need 12 or 14 lemons to get 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons lemon juice. The crust is a basic shortbread crust, but you make a lemon curd using a little butter and cream to enrich it, Pour it over the semi baked crust, then finish in the oven. They are the most incredible lemon bars I have ever had in my life.
I AM AN OLD LADY, I DONT HAVE THE STRENGTH IN MY HANDS AND WRISTS I USED TO HAVE YEARS AGO. I BOUGHT SEVERAL ORANGE JUICE SQUEEZERS RECENTLY AND I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH ALL OF THEM INCLUDING ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE THAT LAST ONE YOU SHOWED ON THE VIDEO, BUT MY ONE IS ORANGE IN COLOUR SO ITS NOT EXACTLY THE SAME BUT VERY SIMILAR AND I CANT USE IT. I DONT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GET IT TO WORK PROPERLY. THE OTHER ORANGE SQUEEZERS I BOUGHT ARE JUST THE NORMAL STANDARD ONES, ONE IS MADE OF GLASS ANOTHER IS MADE OF METAL AND THEY ARE NOT SHARP ENOUGH TO SQUEEZE THE ORANGES ON. PERHAPS I AM LACKING IN STRENGTH ALSO BUT I HAVE A VERY OLD ORANGE SQUEEZER HERE WHICH IS MADE OF HARD PLASTIC. I BOUGHT IT YEARS AGO AND THE WAY ITS MADE, IT SQUEEZES THE ORANGE EASY FOR ME, HOWEVER I ACCIDENTALLY BURNT A PIECE OUT OF IT ON THE STOVE ONE DAY SO A CHUNK IS MISSING OUT OF ITS SIDE, BUT I STILL USE IT BECAUSE ITS JUST MADE A SPECIAL WAY AND SHARP ENOUGH FOR ME TO SQUEEZE MY ORANGES. THERE IS NO OTHER ORANGE SQUEEZER LIKE IT BUT I CANT BUY THIS EXACT SAME GOOD ORANGE SQUEEZER NO MORE BECAUSE THEY DONT MAKE THEM NO MORE. I ONLY PAID ONE DOLLAR FOR IT A FAIR WHILE BACK. HAVING SAID ALL THAT, I MIGHT CONSIDER THE LAST ONE YOU SHOWED AS IT COULD BE BETTER THAN THE ORANGE COLOURED ONE I TALKED OUT. BUT THEY NEED TO MAKE SOMETHING FOR OLD PPL WHERE YOU DONT NEED A HUGE AMOUNT OF STRENGTH IN THE HANDS AND WRIST JUST TO SQUEEZE AN ORANGE. ONE SIMILAR TO MY VERY OLD ONE.
Hello
just give me a relative comparison on each
I bought that citrus juicer. Can confirm, it eats fruit for breakfast.
I got ripped off on that last geared one. 200 lemons, I don't think so. To good to be true. Sales gimmick. Fooled me I bought one. The trouble is when you have Meyer lemons which are 3 to 4" to big. Cut in half. Still the slots get plugged and it squirts out the sides. I think the TV are fishing for a better aqeezer ideas cuz I'm still looking for a better one myself instead of this geared thing. Needs a splatter shield.
i have had them all and more that are not here. the one they picked as winner is the best but the ugly metal Mexican style one lasts almost forever? we have never broke a metal one. however, the fancy fresh force ones have a plastic hinge with a metal rod going through it. which, if you use it often, will eventually violently crack into nothing fixable or remotely usable. so sad. we had 2 of them and they both cracked. the all metal ones last forever. spit out a few more seeds though but if you use citrus like we do or you are a bartender who needs it for drinks, you will want to have metal one at least as a backup. :)
Just use a fork or spoon and a strainer, so many kitchen tools, you really only need a certain number of high quality knives and multitaskers

You think that if it can squeeze a lemon it can't squeeze anything else? Of course it works on the other citrus. You're obviously going to have to cut it smaller because most people don't use a manual squeezer for grapefruit, but there's literally no reason why it wouldn't work.

I'm shocked by how many people I hear about who put the fruit in the presses upside down. I can't understand it. Attention to details, people! There are holes or slots in the bottom of the bowl on one half; what do you think those are for -- ventilation?
