Finally, a video on this. Great job! Very intriguing. Any comparisons coming for other clippers (Kazrog, SIR, Fabfilter, etc)? I'd love to see if this stands way above the rest. If so, then it's worth the hefty price!

Used the Freeware G-Clip for decades and haven't heard a clipper that bested it until now. Maybe goldclip could change my mind

I use StandardCLIP from SIR Audio Tools (and generally for saturation - FabFilter Saturn 2) :) this tool looks amazing btw

I like "Charles" Schwabe Gold Clip, but I keep running back to the master-chain plugin combo of : Acustica Audio TIGER M.U. --> Acustica Audio JAM ---> Acustica Audio ASH ULTRA --> Submission Audio Flatline 1/2 --> Acustica Audio LACE for the last couple of days. Flatline is super clear and doesn't fall apart when boosting its volume up a whole 12 decibels! That with the clean auto gain and ANOTHER 12-DECIBLE LUFS increase on LACE work well together. Good clipper plugin like Flatline x (Acustica Audio LACE or Sonible's smart:Limit or A.O.M's Invisible Limiter G2 or G3) works wonders like this.

Melda Production MSaturatorMB, MWaveShaperMB, Tr5 Classic Clipper, Newfangled Audio Saturate, Nuendo Stock Clipper. Most of the time I'm using Melda Production, sounds amazing! 😊

@@whitenoisestudio Because from my (even still VERY inexperienced ears), when listening to different demonstrations through different monitors, it sounds to be the most resolute, and accurate reflection of adjustment to signal based upon the sections & sub-tools applied which are applied to it during the demonstration. It doesn't seem (to me) as though it it "hypes" responses, curves so that the response isn't reflective of what is visually representative, and I feel as though it would be a tool which I would LOVE to have on my 2 Bus, in order to A/B my mix vs what a mastering engineer may yield... OR to print and send as a reference to a general direction I would "prefer" if sent for mastering. It also seems extraordinarily "Utilitarian". The U.I. seems very intuitive and useful... VS some artistically conceived layout with cartoon characters or themes which have nothing to do with engineering... As someone with ADHD, I find the menus to appear as something non-distracting, and will allow me to focus on working on the project at hand, rather than drifting into some weird form of abstract expressionism, based upon some company's marketing team-manifested menus, layouts, and controls on their very on version of "The Good Ship Lollipop". But, that is merely my perception, based upon what i've heard, while switching between multiple headphone monitors as I view different demonstrations and reviews. I'd have bought it already. But I'm still "relatively" new to audio (about 3 years), and am desperately acquiring tools as I can afford them. I JUST got a "dedicated" room, and still need some "critical" tools, as the economy continues to grind me down. LOL But, I do know that it seems (to me) to be tool which I would gladly gamble on investing in, once my core tools are taken care of.

Thx for the review. Question: For using the Gold clip in mastering, doesent it make sense to not get into the reds when dialing the input volume ? I don’t know if I remember correctly… I use and like Standard clip , Kclip, Vclip. Standard Clip and Vclip mostly for transients, Kclip for coloration. Cheers

The clipping is set with the threshold, which makes that you don't need to raise the input level with this plugin. With Goldclip it does help if you're close to 0dB though with how gold and such work.

GoldClip has a great sound, easy controls. UI looks good as well.

I am using the demo of it as of lately but woud love a free copy :)

Lavrys are some of my personal favs in mastering converters, however $250 is a flat no for me, and unless you've got a ton of bushings I'd get Standard Clip instead. Not saying this is bad, I've no idea as I've not used. It's the price for me, although this looks very very tempting, I don't have enough business now to justify the price, as rent, bills, and food, eat it all up!

i do have to poke you a bit because you know, the price of lavry hardware ^^

Mostly use standard clip but I also own V-clip, Saturate, and LVC clipped max. I dont find any of them particularly different enough to Standard-Clip to warrant using most of the time. I'm dubious about more clippers but it does look good. Standard Clip is extremely cpu friendly and i like the workflow so I just stick with it.

I demo'd it, tried it on a bunch of material and shot it out against other clippers that cost considerably less and I was not impressed. Some of the features are nice, the Alchemy knob does something very pleasant to your mix, and I like some of the tone features. But for the cost, I don't think it's worth it.

OK FWIW I just got the Gold Clip. Yes I have other clippers, but this one is that good I just needed to get it. Expensive? I guess so, because its price is about what I paid to get the Soundtoys 5.4 Full bundle. I did payment plan, so OK fine. I just felt it's time to have the best in one area. So here it is.

Yeah, I use it more and more in my projects. Still grab a limiter often but GoldClip is just so much easier to get more loudness quickly and more important - really good sounding

Can’t spend that but would happily win a copy!

This is a pricey plugin but it looks like quite a lot of thought has been put into its feature set.

It's not cheap for sure. This plugin is besides a clipper also a transparent maximizer as well.

Come and think of it I think all the clippers I use together cost less than this one :-) This one is like a "weiss clipper" marketing :-)

Guys, no disrespect to anyone but even talking about it and making comparisons seems like a waste of time to me. It's different from everything else on the market. This one is not just about clipping.

🧐🧐 Yeah, this one is a bit of a brain bender. I spent some time trying to understand EXACTLY what was happening to the signal at every single stage, just so I knew and could then PREDICT exactly what it was doing. I’ll admit I kinda gave up when I couldn’t uncross my eyeballs. 🤪 Because it can get you a few db of gain and it’s virtually inaudible. Meaning the signal appears completely unchanged. Wtf? Imma lean on the boss here at the studio to drop the coin and buy this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sneaky right? Goldclip is amazing.

Plugin Alliance new luxury clipper - nothing beats it at the moment. I own Sir Standard Clip - doesnt have Delta...as well as Klip 3....looks like from 1999.....so yes BX is the new king in my book.

PeakEater. Has oversampling, REAPER privides delta. Everything I need. No need to pay anything for clipping, IMHO.
