Sir what do you recommend good for taking drafts of ships. Should be long range and very bright, and of course portable and compact.

For the Nitecore MT21C, can you screw in the middle section in flipped: the side that faced towards the LED to be crewed into the side the had the spring? Why, well so you could have the clip facing the other way. This way you could catch the torch on the brim of your cap. Too bad you can not access the turbo on the Nitecore MT21C while it's on, on the minimum settings let's say. You need to turn it off, and only then turn on the turbo mode.

Why was HC90 discontinued? In my opinion it was the best headlamp on the market, despite the high price. The slide switch mechanism is brilliant. I hate the click-through mode of operation, wether there is memory mode or not, and it is the only headlamp I know that had such a low mode, which 90% of the time is what I use it on. Often even 1 lumen is way too bright! Sadly there is nothing like it on the market and they are getting pretty hard to find, and these days they go for extortionate prices. I have one in regular use and one still unopened and hope they will last me a long time!

The trouble with HC90 was exactly the slide switch, many people accidentally have it slide on in their bag, and the battery drain was very bad. So it stopped production. Innovative but not so practical.

@@NitecoreSG first thing I learned to do is to turn the battery cap quarter turn when storing or not using it which prevented that from happening. It's a shame it didn't work out for you, as it really is an unmatched headlamp and worth every cent

I still use the HC90 every week for work always wanted an updated one. And i always turn the unscrew the tailcap for that reason when in my bag.

@@Rzombie23 I use it for everything from work, around the house and all my outdoor activities. As I said, the true highlight is the super low mode, as no other lamp that I know goes that dim, and it really is hard to believe that there was no other model made with the sliding mechanism. I really really hate click-through button menus. As for the action of unscrewing the cap, it is no more impractical or time consuming than a long-press or whatever ways other lamps use to unlock and lock. I really do hope mine last me a long time!

Why there is no full review on HC35? And based on my research, HC35 turbo mode only last 30sec, so this is basically a 800lumens flashlight? And there is no momentary on for turbo

To preserve the longevity of the components inside the HC35, all flashlight does this if you watch the comparison of other flashlight brands.
