The BEST Left Hand Piano Pattern By FAR... (my "Secret Sauce")

Музыка

Cheat Sheet PDF Here: bestpianoclass.com/sauce
What’s up my piano friends!! Today’s piano tutorial you’re going to learn the BEST left hand pattern. For all my music theory nerds out there, it’s a 9th chord arpeggio pattern. But don’t worry, I’ll simplify it for ya and make it nice and simple to practice, so even if you don’t understand 9th chords you’re good to go.
You can literally copy-and-paste this SAME accompaniment pattern underneath ANY song out there and it’ll automatically make it sound beautiful, sensitive, and emotional. Great for ballads, but you can also use them for pop/rock/country or whatever else. It LOOKS advanced but it’s actually super beginner.
It’s also the lesson that got me invited to do a TED talk (if you’re interested you can see that here: • A New Verse in Music (...
Note: The pattern is slightly different than the one in the TED Talk - Ever since then, I modified it a little bit to make it even easier to learn, but it still sounds just as good (if not even better!!)
IMPORTANT: The LAST part of the video I show you a 2-step left hand exercise to learning this fast and easy, AND getting it on “Autopilot mode”. This is absolutely critical, so make sure you don’t skip this step. A good left hand bass pattern really isn’t usable unless you can play it without thinking about it, and a lot of people learn something like this and never get it on autopilot. And then it’s like, man “technically” I can play this, but I’m unable to actually use it in songs!
Here’s what we’ll cover:
00:00 Intro
00:31 Part 1 - Demo the Pattern
01:43 Part 2 - Learn the Left Hand Note By Note
03:07 Part 3 - How to Get it on Autopilot
06:12 Learn Actual Songs From the Radio
Also, use the cheat sheet to help you out! It’ll allow you to easily shift and move the arpeggio pattern around the keyboard so you can play it over the top of different chords, whether they’re black note chords or white note chords.
In the tutorial, I'll guide you through crucial techniques and theories, ensuring your complete understanding of every concept. You'll not only learn the essential notes but also develop your skills and practice strategies without picking up any harmful habits.
Oh, and also at the end of the video, if you have trouble getting left right hand coordination, there are some hands together exercises that’ll help ya out.
So let’s dive in, learn everything step by step, and dominate your left hand.

You are slowly turning into my favorite online teaching from learning coding, music, and language. You explain things so well and you break them down. You have a gift for teaching. You're appreciate it. Do you teach any other instruments? Granted I see why Piano is such a gifting and purpose for you....

This channel is incredible. I just finished up a semester of piano lessons, and it was my first time ever learning anything musical. I've pushed keys many times in my life, on various pianos that I've come across. I never knew what I was doing, and always wished I did. I never read music or anything growing up. For my final (yesterday), I played a duet with my teacher, a simple "Girl From Ipanema" piece, and it went great. I had such an amazing teacher, she really knows her stuff. I'm 31 years old and I feel like I started way later than I should've, but better late than never! Playing piano gives me something to always build on, and I feel like more people need something like that in their lives. It's personal growth, and it's very important. Thanks for all of your videos and tips! You're doing something great!

Lets just ignore the fact that the lollipop chord progression is off af. And that you can make anything sound beautiful by playing add9 chords you dont even need the power chord, and the order of the notes is also not the only one, you can use multiple different ones so you dont get f-ed up voice leading. Actually, a lot of the times add9 isnt even the best upper chord extension, for example, you could use a sixte ajoutée on your subdominant chords. Generally, calling this the best piano left hand pattern, let alone “by far” is kinda arrogant and a simple arpeggio does the job just as well, thats nothing special bro and youre not the first one to do it neither.
