Been listening to Kpop since the mid-90's when the word didn't even exist. I absolutely agree that this is one of the best years for Kpop in recent memory, perhaps in the top 3 since 2000. Oh, and THANK YOU for giving Woo!Ah! their due at #3 with Catch the Stars!!!

Yes, I've been listening to girl groups since 2008. This was a great year. One noted thing that's great is a group like BlackPink finally got called out for their lackluster music. Even Twice didn't auotmatically get worshiped just based upon their past. These new groups have shifted the baton and now groups are liked for their actual music...not their past performances. So I hope anyway. Also I know SNSD is old hat...but I listened to their entire Forever1 album and have to say it's as good as any album they've ever put out. Yet because they are a older group....the newer fans don't pay attention. Good music is what I look for in a Girl Kpop group. Which means I give every group a listen and like many many groups. NewJeans had an epic first album....but I don't like their two new comebacks at all. Le Sserafim best group by far to come out this year. They are the real deal with the best music. BlackPink better get their act together and change producers because their music style is really getting old. StayC got a bad rap/hate. Props to Apink for still being relevant..

8:42 technically, they didn't disband!! tripleS has a rotating unit system, so AAA was just one of what will eventually be multiple units. all of the members of AAA are still in tripleS and will be in their upcoming 10-member release. eventually, tripleS will have 24 members in different rotating units(kind of like nct but all the units are rotating like nct u). Krystal Eyes(KRE)- another four member unit shown at the end of the Generation music video- should also be debuting in early 2023 :)

YESSSSS! The fact that Love dive and Antifragile are in the top of the list and those were my favorite songs for 2022. SLAYYYYYY. And I am being honest, 2022 wasn't the best year for me because Most of the songs were boring for me, only some felt nice and others grew up to me because of listening it over and over again. Only LOVE DIVE and ANTIFRAGILE were the songs I listened in a loop and never got bored with it. If anyone tells me which year was the best for Kpop songs, it's 2018 and 2019 for me, no bad songs from those years. And the second will be 2016 and 2020. And in the end, winterosy, you slayed with your video and also hope you have a great year in 2023. 👍👍👍

Antifragile is truly a work of art. When I first listened to it I didn't really like it but then it grew on me HARD. Le Sserafim never disappoints! I know all of their songs and they are all extremely good. They literally have no skips. Antifragile really made my standards for kpop songs go over the moon.

I mean seriously! How can people call blackpink's music "basic", like literally generalizing that every song blackpink brings out is going to be basic like wtf! Blackpink has good songs period. And if people don't like them its just their choice why do they have to throw a shade its so mean. This video said their songs are basic but we are still playing them like bro wdym !! Same is happening with blackpink and they are thriving and will keep achieving greater milestones in their carriers. Omg! Yes they are going to coachella! I am so excited. Your music taste is impeccable. I only got back into KPOP in June of 2022 and I have discovered so many new songs, artists and passionate people. It's so hard to decide which are my favourite songs of 2022. Though I loved 28 Reasons by Seulgi, Antifragile by Lesserafim, and Talk That Talk by TWICE

i really enjoyed kpop this year. the entirety of le sserafim and nwjns’ discography is gold. people really gave bp a lot of sh*t for born pink, but i personally really enjoyed shut down and typa girl. twice’s talk that talk was a really fun song, and i popped a lot with nayeon during the summer😌. txt remained consistent with the quality in their music this year as well, i really loved "thursday's child has far to go" and "opening sequence". gbgb is not my favourite song of theirs but the performance makes it so much better since they always perform with so much energy. my stayc girls did absolutely amazing, i loved run2u and even if ppl didn’t rlly like it i appreciate beautiful monster as well. skz.. well, they stayed true to the style they’ve been doing since "god’s menu" (aka lots of killing parts, impressive performance and hard beat) which isn’t necessarily bad and i did listen to maniac quite a lot, and while case 143 wasn’t bad i simply didn’t have the urge to stream it a lot. (i’ve been a stay since 2018 but i feel like i enjoyed their music during 2018-2019 more). seventeen amazing releases. hot was an absolute summer bop, and world as well. i overplayed both songs. aespa has one of the best album releases this year. it’s just a very well produced album and it sounds amazing. i overplayed INVU as well enhypen blessed cursed>>> at first i didn't enjoy future perfect but it grew on me and the performance is impressive. enhypen also had really good bsides this year. wjsn last sequence and oh my girl real love are also nice releases.

I love how over time Rosy has perfected the art of making transitions impactful through clever editing... The transition to Love Dive feels epic! Love the list, I would personally add Youha's Last Dance VERY high up, but ig it didn't do numbers. Definitely one of the best songs of the year imo Also as a neverland, seeing (G)idle become more popular and successful than ever with probably my two least favorite cbs (song-wise) is so conflicting... like I'm happy for them but UHHH... the concepts were FANTASTIC but the title tracks themselves left something to be desired.

For me SOTY was 28 reasons Seulgi's debut 🤤. This song and MV are just a masterpiece, I loved it soooooo much💖

Antifragile is such a workout, feel good, "feelin' myself" song I just love it

The fact that when Eunbi was in iz*one she got really famous, but when iz*one disbanded and when she released door, glitch and underwater she just became underappreciated. Glitch and underwater are such bops and it's really sad how her fans just forgot that she exists

2022 was such a stacked year and I'm so looking forward to this one! I apologize for having so many mainstream songs and artists lol. Anyways, my top 20 list from 2022: 1. Feel My Rhythm - Red Velvet // This song finally dethroned Russian Roulette as my favorite RV and kpop song overall. Insanity 2. Good parts (when the quality is bad but I am) - Le Sserafim // I tear up to this song every time, also LSF's B-sides are like so good?! 3. Hurt - NewJeans // I love this song the most from the first album, idk how to describe it, just. awesome. 4. Tomboy - (G)-Idle // There is so much to say about this song that I won't say anything 👍 5. LxxK 2 U - Yena // more of this PLEASE, I love this kind of music PLEASE 6. Attention - Kep1er // Kep1er's B-sides are just as good as LSF's, they don't miss 7. Love Dive - IVE // I wasn't too crazy over it the first time but it has grown on me so much 8. When you got down to the top 3 and I hadn't seen Love Dive or Antifragile yet I was getting worried. Then I was even more worried when it got down to number 1. My list would definitely include Pale Blue Dot, Glitch, and MVSK, and wouldn't include any BG tracks because I didn't care enough to listen to boy groups this year, but otherwise pretty similar. I think MAYBE Ditto would be number 1, but I haven't had enough time to decide yet.

Started getting into Kpop a little over a year ago when my girlfriend showed me some BTS stuff. I never really liked or listen to girl groups super often but I can absolutely acknowledge how good they are. I found myself enjoying Ive a lot more than I expected. my top 10 songs of 2022 1: Red Velvet - Feel My Rhythm: This song carried my 2022, a totally underrated song, I hope my 2023 will look more like Feel My Rhythm 2: Taeyeon - INVU: Magic, artistic, what else do I have to say? 3: Blackpink - Pink Venom: This song gave me the Hype to go through 2022, I´m addicted to this song, no matter what people say. 4: Nayeon - Pop: Im regularly no that of a Happy person, so song like Pop put a smile on my face everyday. 5: Ive - Love Dive: This song just grabs you, and suddently you love it, ethereal and romantic, perfect combination. 6: Chocome - Super Yuppers: Groups don´t do songs like this anymore, funny with quality. 7: StayC - Beautiful Monster: I love this type of songs, with the vintage, and the old camera things, beautiful and sad. Love it 8: Sunmi - Heart Burn: Love melancholic songs with sad endings. Also Sunmi with her peacefull voice makes it 10 times better. 9: kwon eunbi - Glitch: The songs feels elegant, funny, energetic, It grows on you when you listen to it multiple times 10: Momoland - Yummy Yummy Love: I will always love Momoland, they are my first K-pop group, I expected more from this comeback, but I have to put then anyways.
