Thank you for pointing out things like the work of Mr. Sharff and questioning how people like him could end up finding work after their atrocities. Having the freedom to say what should be said suites you

Except he didn't commit atrocities, his method of interrogation was a passive method where he would just talk with them about normal everyday things, bring them pastries, take them to visit towns near by for lunch or dinner, but never things like torture, or hard press them for information. He wasn't a party member, but was drafted as someone else said after "Stupid mustache" took over and he wasn't allowed to leave the country.

I did some research on Hans Scharff. He was just an average businessman who lived in South Africa with his British wife. He was vacationing in his native Germany when a certain 3rd Reich took over and he was not allowed to leave. On top of that he was drafted by said 3rd Reich. He somehow became an interrogator. When all of his superiors were killed he became top interrogator. Thing is, his style was to be the ultimate GOOD COP. He got what he wanted through kindness and would sometimes HELP the Allies gaining certain info while still playing for the side he was forced to fight for. (This is where I’m a bit lost but it all makes sense) After the war he was likely recruited by the US government in something like Operation Paperclip 📎 a program where former Germans who were in the military or scientists were asked to contribute to the US’s interests. His GOOD COP approach has been researched over and over so yeah he actually did more good than bad. Again, he was forced to fight for the guy with the silly mustache. So there ya go

Thank you for pointing out that not all men in the German military during WW2 were monsters. My grandfather wanted nothing to do with "Stupid Mustache" guy but he had no choice. Many people here in the US are oblivious to the fact that it was a "join or be shot on the spot" situation. My grandfather left his young wife and baby, to repair airplanes. He thought he'd be safe from combat. Sadly, at age 24, he lost his life nonetheless. It's easy to villainize people when you don't know the whole story. Many of those young German boys were just doing what their superiors told them to do ..... Much like U.S. soldiers, who we call heroes for doing so!

OG Figment and Dreamfinder fanatic here.. I would give ANYTHING to ride the original one more time. I rode it too many times to count between 1985 and 1991. I then moved to another state, and didn't come back to WDW until 1999. When I found out that the ride was gone..I sobbed. My daughters never got to experience it with me. Sooo sad.

That snowflake eel. I had one awhile back. They are escape artists. Mine got out while I was at work. I couldn’t find it anywhere. I found it curled up under my recliner. It was alive so we put it back in the tank. It could have very well been there for hours. So…..they can survive out of water for waaaaaaay longer than your average sea creature. Gave it to a local pet shop that had a huge display. Also…..they aren’t venomous, but a bite will take you to the hospital. Guaranteed serious infection, with loss of flesh if not treated asap. They don’t see well, so it’s easy for them to mistake your fingers for a snack.

My wife and I got to ride Mission Space with Molly! We had just talked about keeping an eye out for her and not even 5 minutes later we saw her in the Orange line! It was our first big trip together on try number 3 after Covid lockdown and my cancer treatment delayed it. Watching Molly's videos like this one just got me so excited for our vacation! Thank you so much Molly for making our Epcot day even better!!!

Molly, I met you at Mission Space on this day and got to ride Orange with you! I hope I didn't make too big a fool of myself after one too many margarita from the tequila bar 😅 It was such a cool experience because my husband and I were outside of Mission Space just enjoying each other's company and I mentioned "how cool would it be if Molly just walked up?" And then two minutes later there you were!! Btw you were right about the Beauty and the Beast pink gowns at HWS being so pretty and also so hard to capture on camera!

Molly isn't joking about the 67 warnings on Mission Space Orange! My brother and I went on it and there were warnings EVERYWHERE! They even made us read a card with warnings and asked us if we were sure we wanted to ride as we were in the pod. We were laughing to hard, we were doubled over...the margaritas beforehand probably made it even funnier to us. We did not get sick. :) Thanks for another great video Molly!

The United States has directly benefited from the work of N*zis thousands of times over through the automobile and pharmaceutical industries alone. It's not that surprising that some of them were artists, too (notwithstanding the head of the party who was an accomplished painter in his own right). I was just in WDW in October but we didn't go on Mission: Space. I had no idea they renamed the green side and got rid of Gary Sinise! Great video as always.

Molly you are awesome! Firstly, thank you for all of your Disney and Universal content. Secondly, thank you for you Shark conservation messages. There isn’t enough love out there for the most amazing predators on the planet. Thankfully my son (16mo old) is already figuring out how amazing they are. On a boardwalk in NC this past weekend he saw a photo op shark figure and went up to it saying, “yay, a shark!” Over and over. Proud father here. Third, working as a diver/biologist at an aquarium is super fun, but super tiring. Especially cleaning the exhibits and all the decor inside them. Helping to care for and raise aquatic animals has been one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done and my top 2 favorites were bonnetheads and barracuda.

Thank you for pointing out these details! I’m glad you’re able to talk about ALL the details - even the uncomfortable ones. I went down the wormhole on Hans Scharff when you mentioned him. A man definitely worth looking into as he intentionally worked to prevent torture practices by German interrogators and the US adopted his methods after the war (as we did with so many different Germans).

When I visited the Seas, we asked why the dolphins are separated from the rest of the fish but the sharks get to hang out with them. They said the sharks are well fed so they don't go after the other fish. However, the dolphins would get bored in the tanks and started messing with the other fish. So they had to separate them. There's actually a tunnel for the fish to go between the two tanks, but the fish prefer to hang out with the sharks lol.

My son and I rode the mission space the first week it was opened. There was only one ride, not 2. At one point you felt weightlessness like the astronauts are subjected to. I think it lasted all of 1 or 2 months. Way too many people we’re getting sick. My son and I did not get Sick and it was the most indescribable experience. We felt as if we were floating. How they were able to achieve that feeling of weightlessness baffles me to this day. As stated before, it didn’t last long. Only Disney can come up with these things. Another ride that was modified was the stitch ride extra terrorterrestrial Alien space encounter. At one point the alien was breathing in your ear and then it escaped and you felt these things come out from under your chair and touch your legs. It frightened the daylights out of so many people they had to modify it. I’m glad I got to experience both rides before the modifications. I thought they were great. Not sure if you’re aware of that.? I almost forgot, Disney went above and beyond for me in 1999 when my son turns 7 years old. My husband had recently passed away and I wanted my son to have a nice birthday. I called Disney and spoke to cast members and told them we were coming to the land to celebrate his birthday. They created a birthday cake with gummy worms & other decorations. It was a surprise!! I shared the cake with everybody that nearby. ❤️❤️Disney!!

For info on Hanns Scharff read "The Interrogator" by Raymond F Toliver. Scharff was running the family textile business in South Africa but was visiting family in Germany when war broke out. He got drafted and was to be sent to the Russian Front. But his English South African wife marched into a general's office and convinced him that Hanns would be wasted as foot soldier in Russian since Hanns spoke English. Scharff ended up living in the USA after the war.
