Honestly even after the list I think Araki has a bias towards Rohan, I mean look at the OVAs and Rohan at the Louvre

She's a double whammy of being a manga character AND being from an unfinished part

I know Speedwagon is kind of a meme, but I'll just toss it out that I really like the guy because he just unconditionally instantly attaches himself to the Joestars and his efforts shield them for over 100 years. There is no rationale for that, he just does what he does and everyone is grateful. I like all the votes, all the characters felt like they had good rankings. I feel the part 4 Joebros were a tiny bit underrated, but they all were because they are all epic. What can I say, people like Dio and DIO. Surprised Kars is so low, he's pretty dope. Kira at number 1 is crazy but ya know people like their funny hand man. JoJo one is wacky in places but we picked it so I guess we live with it, right?

I absolutely love DIO. I can’t explain why but I’ve never seen a character I like more than DIO. Mainly talking about part 3 version but part 1 also has to be taken into consideration when talking about his character.

@Cole Kellison I know, I know. I mean yasuho is a good character, she has her own personality, her own problems, and her own "story", plus I really like her stand. For Gappy, well he is my fifth favorite JoJo, he's smart, he's funny, his quest is interesting and really touching. But unfortunately part 8 is part 8. And part 8 doesn't have a anime yet. So... And it is so freaking frustrating to see them so low. I mean yasuho is like the protagonist of jojolion, she appears in almost every chapter, she help like hell, but no one ever mentioned her. Just Why?? And you can't just give me the excuse of people who don't read manga, Gyro is in part 7 and it didn't stop him from being so popular. And don't you dare say that kakyoin and Caesar are better written characters than Yasuho!! Is it because she's a girl, or because her stand can't fight, or because she has a "romance" with Gappy. Like just explain, just explain to me because I don't get it. And don't let me start with Pucci. He is the BEST character in part 6. He is the reason why I enjoyed part 6 so much, his backstory, his ideology, his action. He deserve so much better. But like you said, most of those people are anime only so. Let's just hope to see them higher in the future.

I hope Stone Ocean gets more love when its animated, it's a really good part with great characters

I’m not gonna argue here it’s not worth it. I’m just stating that although caught up to chapter 100 JoJolion, gappy is 6th in terms of jojo, and scrapes top 10 by a hair. While I plan to reread the manga parts (6-8) I will say I thoroughly enjoyed jojolion but don’t have a whole lot of love for gappy compared to my top 3, Joseph, gyro and Josuke.

Polnareff and Koichi easily should've been top tier. They both have the vibe of their own minor protagonist (Bruno would be the Part 5 equivalent imo)

The thumbnail got me interested... I'm glad Kira is such an appreciated character, he really deserves it. He's an amazingly well-written character overall. I could go on and on about what makes him a really great villain. Easily one of my favourites of all time.

Pucci is so underrated I love his goals and his ideals. Imo he is such a good villain

The fact that speedwagon didnt win is honestly weird to me, speedwagon is my favourite jojo character and im not even joking, robert started off as a gangster living life in the cold streets of the london slums, his whole life he was shown only evil and greed so he became evil and greedy but after shown compassion by jonthan he realises that nobility does exist and decides to change his life, he follows jonathan in his quest to save the world, after jonathans passing he choses to keep being noble and assists erina in raising Joseph and eventually creates an entire monopoly which sustains the bizarre adventures of jojo for DECADES, the greatest side character by far

poor kira didn't get the quiet life in morioh like he always wanted because he's too popular

I know each one has opinions but gappy at dead last is just pain to see Gappy and JoJolion are so interesting and deserve better

Currently on part 5 and I’m so excited to get further into this series

And even for the "writing" part. Hes an incredible character like development, his dynamics with the cast, the symbolism of his stand etc. He fits part 5 perfectly.

Giorno isnt that good of a character. He's honestly the most boring jojo to me personally yet people probably only voted for him because his theme song is great and not actually because he's an entertaining character.

I see why you say this but there are multiple videos talking about why Giorno is a better and deeper character than people are willing to give credit for. One of the bigger problems is that his part in particular, Golden Wind shares the spotlight with many of the other cast members. So we all know who they are but unless you're willing to dig deeper there won't be much of them immediately present. Part of it is also why I think people don't find Jonathan popular. They don't find him entertaining to watch and they find his personality terrible because it's not flashy like Joseph or Jotaro who are probably THE flashiest characters (in different ways). and coincidentally the most popular. If you read this far and are willing to I highly reccomend watching one or two videos analyzing Giorno if you haven't already. All the JoJo's are great in their own ways and while it's fine to have an opinion i personally think we should educate ourselves on the things we dislike so that. At least if we still dislike it. (Like me with Part 2 Joseph. Part 3 is best though) we have a good understanding of why others don't Tl;Dr I don't think the hate or dislike for Giorno from a lot of fans is valid and people far smarter than me have already talked about why

Jolyne and Johnny being low is, as Kaleb stated in the video, the result of NOT excluding anime-only’s from the poll. If you try to rank all characters based on fan favoritism, but have a large chubk of the fanbase that HASN’T been exposed to ALL characters, the results will inevitably be skewed

The act system would always be interesting on how it's played out in fighting games but seeing something like gappy or jolyne with their quite unique abilities could also be entertaining with how it's played out

I'm so happy to see Giorno getting #1 on a JoJo's poll. Oftentimes in the community I see a lot of people trashing on him for some of the same reasons as Jotaro, and I know that the poll was influenced by his anime, but in my personal opinion I do like Giorno the most and it just feels so good to see him win something in a community spread.

As a person who have read Steel Ball Run, I will always prefer Bruno over Gyro. He is my favorite JoJo Character after all.

For my takes, it would be; Favorite Joestar's - Jonathan and Giorno. (It's very unfortunate to me to see Jonathan near the very bottom, but seeing Giorno at the top made it all better for me. Jonathan deserved so much more and it was sad his time and life cut short. I'm a sucker for the honourable hero type of character, so I fell in love with him right away. And even though he may be as jacked the Hulk, he's still a precious baby, I don't care what anyone says. As for Giorno, I always loved the idea of a character having two biological fathers and inheriting the best traits from both of them. The heart and soul of Jonathan, along with the mind and cunning of Dio definitely made for an amazing character. Plus, Gold Experience is my favorite stand, so it gives extra points to Giorno for that.) Favorite JoBro's - Polnareff and Bruno. (If this video came out a month ago, I would have said YASUHO and Bruno, but I've grown incredibly attached to Polnareff lately from a recent rewatch of part 3 and he really is an amazing character. I love him, he's proof you don't need eyebrows to be a badass. But he'd never top Bruno... Bruno is just, perfection. Definitely in my silly opinion to be one of the best written character's in the whole series.) Favorite Antagonists - Both Dio's (I class them both as one character) and Diavolo. (I admit it, I'm a rabid Dio fangirl, but I genuinely love him and his role in the grand scheme of everything, plus he always stole the show for me whenever he was on screen/manga pages. And as for Diavolo, I've always loved him, even before the anime for part 5 came out, way back when a lot of people didn't like him as much and how much crap he got, despite how much of a great villain I think he is. But seeing him get adapted into the anime after all that time made me so happy, and even happier to see the outpour of love the anime only people now have for him. I fangirled so hard during the fight with Bruno and also when he fully revealed himself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, stupid gushing and fangirling aside, I do also think it's dumb that a lot of people didn't choose their MULTIPLE favorites when the poll was MULTIPLE choice.

@@lick816 tbf i really don't hate stone ocean, but hermes felt like the least interesting character between all the main ones. Like compared to weather report, pucci, emporio, annasui, she didn't have a really cool stand, her design wasn't that interesting and generally felt like it was underused. She's not bad as a character but i think she was really outshined by other ones. edit: i may be missing important stuff, but I'm just telling what i got out of the part, explaining why i wouldn't vote for her

Man I love Jobin as a villain, honestly better imo than the Head Doctor. He's just much more complex to the point that people argue on whether or not he's a villain, ala Valentine. His motives also strike me as more interesting versus HD's vague "rule over humanity" thing. Yeah he doesn't have the OP Stand but I don't really care. I do appreciate the poll having both (sorta with HD?) as options tho.

I like to think that DIO from part 6 twhen compared to 3 started to remember the thrill of fighting, all those negative thoughts againts the joestars.Getting more and more carried on and leaving behind that estoic figure and all that wisdom he portrays in part 6

I'm reading SBR chapter 32 right now. Johnny is yet to really attract my attention. But seeing Jonathan at that low makes me sad. Why people does not respect the noble and gentlemen jojo is beyond me. Edit : damn, Johnny starting get nicely interesting in chapter 32

Damn, my biggest beef with these rankings is my boy Jawnny Jawstar. IMO he’s the most relatable, most humanized and most dynamic JoJo.

I have not seen all parts (haven't finished Battle Tendancy yet) but I've seen bits and pieces, and Joseph is easily my favorite Jojo. Even though he can be a coward and a liar, he's strong, and better yet, he outsmarts his opponents.
