mistake @ 10:26 - the Shift XT actually has locking pins to secure the top panel properly. So many moving parts on that case to keep track of.

Hey I'm an owner of the NZXT H1 (Original) for quite a while now, and was wondering if you think it'd be worth upgrading to the V2 as I've been quite interested in it lately... I have what I think are pretty high end specs--some may be overkill--but nonetheless am wondering if it's worth the extra bit of cash for an upgrade. My Specs: Asus Z490-I Motherboard Intel i7-10700K CPU Nvidia FE 2070 Super GPU 16x2GB Ram 3200mhz 1TB Nvme SSD

@@milknei_beats depends on which dimension you are focusing. Meshlicious have really small footprint, but is obviously taller. It works perfectly for me, but if you want something smaller but longer then there are other options.
I think for many the big appeal of ITX is the challenge. Packing as much as possible into a case as small as possible, while sacrificing as little as possible. Its an interesting optimization problem.

Absolutely love it when you do ITX roundups and reviews!
The beauty of the NR200P is so minimal and I love how flexible it is for building PC. You will never go wrong when using it because it can be reverse to put the AIO at the top, both air and liquid cooling is also good, and the air flow inside is the best. I first saw it from Dave2D, then in your channel, and stumble upon on Machines and More by maximizing the capability of the case.

Man oh man you just read my mind. Noticed the Phanteks Shift XT just came out yesterday and I've been digging around trying to find a comprehensive recommendation. Really appreciated it! Keep up the good work!
thanks to your channel I swapped to a NR200 around 7 months ago and love it, can never go back to atx ever again, its much quieter, runs just as cool if not cooler than my old atx, takes up less space, much appreciated for the video's. 👍
a long awaited update! was waiting for this video to decide on my new build
Great roundup, thanks! I'm planning on building my next PC to the Meshlicious with full custom loop when next gen of CPU:s and GPU:s come out. Your videos are very inspiring!
I really appreciate NZXT improved the H1 as it was one of my favorite SFF cases. Now if only the Evolve Shift would get an improvement as it had so much potential.
I’ve been planning an itx build for a few days now and this video released? Perfect timing
The H1 V2 beating the NR200 was unexpected and surprising to say the least. Cases are getting more affordable as the ITX market grows and as cases getting fine tuned to almost perfection is always welcomed. I really hope that cases like the Ghost S1 will get updated to become future proofed because they still look sick and clearly have space to be improved upon.
Great run down! variety was amazing, you covered a ton of cases
Your channel convinced me to switch to ITX after nearly a year of ogling. I went with the base NR200 because I was scared of compatibility. If I had a smaller GPU, I'd like to go for the DAN A4H20 but I'm still very happy with my NR200. When I go visit my parents for the holidays I can chuck it in an IKEA bag with a controller and mouse and throw it in my back seat and call it a day!
The reason I've been more and more interested in ITX SFF lately is because of what you said in a past video on the topic. I think there is no reason for things to be larger than they absolutely have to be. These small cases give all the functionality of a tower case without all the bulk. You're not really giving up any performance at all (depending on the case) when building in small form factor. That and I have my PC on my desk because the floor in my house is ridden with hair and dust.
I’m using the base NR200 and looks like I’ve made the perfect choice. 12600K paired with Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240, plus EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra, both OC’ed to their limits, work so well inside this small chassis and don’t require a huge amount of hassle in installation.
I am still a student and just thinking about graduating and moving to another place in the future, I don't want to leave my build behind or go through complicated steps of tearing the build down and rebuilding. This is the excuse I found for myself for justifying my desire to downsize to an ITX build. And when a friend of mine said he could take my large case and mobo, I immediately pulled the trigger and got a Meshlicious. And Ali your channel has always been a great inspiration! Thank you so much for making these videos
Thank you for this! I've been slowly building a parts list for my first ITX build and I keep waffling on the case choice. I had watched the first two roundups as well, but I think this has sold me on the NR200P or DanA4.
Great video man, super useful and addressed a lot of my concerns as I spec out my ITX build
I just finally upgraded my system switched from a 9900K with 2080ti in a O11Dynamic XL case to an ITX case 5900X with a 6900XT. Put it into a Hyte Revolt 3 case. I chose the case because of the small foot print (7"X9"). Loved the solid Mesh design and the easy removal of all the panels.
i don't fully agree with all the choices but dang, what a great look back at some glorious footage of some of the most stunning builds to grace this earth! looking back, each one had exquisitely harmonious component choices. truly gorgeous. looking forward to the new generation of components and the next cycle of sweet sweet builds from you Ali!
Honestly I think mini-itx have proven to be superior for exhaust performance, which leads to efficient methods of cooling. There’s so much less distance for the hot air to travel, and less room for it to stay inside the case and a become turbulent heater. Look at the series X, uses both an intake and exhaust fan that work in conjunction for both convection and directing the airflow path to exhaust all amounts of heat out the top, and you can actually feel the extreme amount of hot air leaving the system too. The requirements and constraints you provided for this list were stellar, and the entire point of purchasing a case like this. Obviously the only caveat at this point would be the power supply not having enough capacitance or power headroom for both 12-Gen/30-series producing intense transient peaks in current draw.
Nice, a new ITX case video. Time to get a cup of coffee, sit back and have a good watch.
I'm still in love with NR200P. It's not so small that it's impossible to build. It's cheap. Looks good. Has good airflow. Incredibly easy to work with and has great build design. It's just overall solid. Will definitely be using it again in the future.
I will never thank you enough to bring to my attention the FormD T1 that I bought. Hope to see you review the T1 V2 soon !
Thank you for this informative video. I have watched many of your videos on PC building and they are excellent. All important aspects ITX pc build are mentioned here which I thought was extremely good.
been watching your videos since a looooong time ago and your vidoes have always been a pleasure to watch. Nicely opiniated, well shot and informative. Thank you for doing such a great job!
I personally have the following cases and a few Mini ITX rigs: - N-Case M1 - NR200 (OG) - Skyreach Mini S4 - Recently ordered and received my new Torrent Nano RGB & Phanteks Shift XT which I’m looking at moving one of my rigs into 🥰❤👍
Thank you for this very informative review ! I love your work and wish one day to build an itx case. I think it would have been great in the end of your video to add a shot with the cases all side-by-side, in the same way you have done in the past. It gives a good feel of their size and look compared to each other.
Top notch review! This version is much more refined and makes more sense with market! Great video as always, Ali! 🤘
this is what i waited for, i want to build a cool looking itx build and really liked the Phanteks Shift XT, thankx ali nice vid
Honestly, the supd meshlicious is great for compact aircooling too imo. I built two with a ryzen 5800x and scythe big shuriken, 2x140mm fans exhausting our the front. It'll run the system incredibly silent and cool. I didn't like putting an aio into it mostly because if you intake the front, you run into turbulence vs the gpu, and if you exhaust the front you just end up with the gpu heat blowing through the cpu rad. With dual 140mm exhaust out the front in an air cooled build, you really take advantage of the mesh and can quickly push out hot air from both the cpu and gpu chambers. If you haven't tried it yet, let me know what you think if you do.
Thanks! This really helped. Lots of great information and comparisons. Great vid.
I built my first PC in the Cooler Master NR200P and it really was quite straight forward for me as someone with no previous experience building PCs

@@kickazzdrummer666 the M1 was way ahead of its time I'd say, but the decision to discontinue has to do with the size of video cards these days. There are quite a few card that you can fit in a NR200 that you cannot fit in the M1.

Great content as always, thank you! Video suggestion: best ITX case/build for the best APU out there.
Love your work mate! Quality reviews always.
You have successfully convinced me to build my first ever PC using NZXT H1 :D . The greatest thing is it so easy for a newbie. Everything just ready in the right place and my only job is follow it, even not take 1 hour for the first time build a PC !!!
Thanks for cases review. I like Nzxt h1 v2 for my setup.
Love your videos! Looking to retrofit my larger pc to make it easier to travel with...
Just sized down to ITX this year, and for the past 2 months have been enjoying my NZXT H1 v1. It's crazy how it's light-years quieter than my ATX tower was, even with a faster CPU with twice the threads, and a GPU with almost 6 times the tflop/s. And to think that the v2 has even better thermals is amazing. I think it maybe possible to put a small fan inside of the v1 H1 to match the thermals of the v2 H1. There's definitely room for it seeing as I've seen people put screens inside of them.
A little late here but still finding value in what you share, thanks for the review!
I just purchased my first itx, nr200p max absolutely love it!
Compact PC is my one way to go and not going back no matter what, thank you for inspiring me like last 3 or 4 years I know this channel 😊
Oh God that shot at 3:33 is simply stunning! Almost looks like a sci-fi render or something.

So many little hidden option like mounting 1400 fans on top and bottom without needing to modify the case (beyond a few zip ties to hold the fans)
oh my god I love this video, i'v been looking for a itx case forever but don't know what to get
I have been looking to build one. This could NOT have come at a better time :D
The NR200 is unbeatable imho. I've had my NR for over 18 months and built two systems in it including a full custom loop. It's the perfect size case, saving space on my desk but still providing great compatibility for virtually all components.
So many great choices! I currently have an 011-D XL that I don’t fully utilize and I’m looking to downgrade all the way to ITX soon. Still debating what to get but love that there’s a ton of options
Awesome video! Thank you so much for the great content.
I just searched for this yesterday lol. I swear Ali's timing gives me goosebumps.
Thank you for the V3.
Recently upsized from a Dan SFX 4.1 to a NR200. With the Dan case I started to feel that future upgrades were limited. The flexibility of the NR200 is amazing but naturally the trade off is the size. Still love the Dan case will definitely still find a use for it as a secondary machine.
I love all your vids bro and def mini atx cases ooks so nice
Would be nice to eventually see a super-small thin mini-ITX case review for the upcoming RDNA-based APUs. Having RTX 3050 -like graphics performance in that form factor is going to be pretty cool. It just seems like there aren't lots of case options, and what's there is overpriced.
I build my first PC ever watching your NR200P video. And i'm really glad i choose this case. Looks great, perform really well combine with undervolting GPU CPU.
Ordered an A4-H2O pretty pumped to try it out. The SM580 is my personal favorite for an ITX case. I'd like to try the S610 at some point and make an insane build in it. Get as compact as possible with a 280 and 240 rad with an iceman res on the back.
Just keep it up sir!Doing an awesome job here.
The best channel about itx pc!
I love this channel man. Such consistent, quality content.
Just got the nr200p max it fits my giant 3080 ti suprim x! Absolutely love it. Especially that it comes with a tg and vented side panel which I use for the warmer days.
Solid stuff. Thanks
high quality vid as per usual!
itx build ....1 stop ...its here....thanks as always
mini case with glass side panel is just sooo charming to look at every time ;))
My favorite ITX case is gonna be the Sliger S620 for ever. Simply because It can fit the Noctua NH D15 and up to a 323mm GPU as well while being compact, looking amazing and having very good airflow.
I'd say for me the personality of these builds is why I love itx form factor.
My personal - subjective, naturally - favourite is still the Streacom DA2, which right now stands on my desk. Haven't yet found a single case that'd look as good and would allow an air-cooled build. (I also don't like vertical cases.) But I have high hopes for the upcoming FormD T1 EVO.
Optimum Tech Ali, ITX Prophet has spoken. We don't even have to watch the entire video to know this is going to be a banger.
Would love to see you doing a Jonsbo A4 review. I have the case and am impressed by the cooling performance even though it has glass on both sides. One of the only easily cooled sff cases that actually lets you look inside.
man you gotta review the phanteks case, your reviews and opinions are great its why we come here. Could be the difference between someone deciding to pick it up or not
I'm a fan of my black and white Sliger 620. It's less than half as big as my mid tower. Love it.
The best thing about nr200p is that it fits small ATX motherboards. I recently discovered that if you take out one of the feet clips you can fit 22.6cm boards. I hsve just finished my 1st silent pc built, the only thing that has a fan is a psu and that fan never spins ie uner 30% power. Love it..
Another super nice, small AND available ITX case is the Iqunix ZX-1 - would really love to see a video with a custom loop on this case from you 🙂
I really like the H1 as I still have the V1 with a bunch of mods to help cooling i.e. front mesh panel, additional custom bracket for rear fans, and upgraded fans. It would have been nice if they offered the new one with a mesh front cover.
I used to only like midtower or larger cases for a long time. I felt like I didn't want to compromise on what I could fit in my case, like I wanted to be able to have a ton of storage and not have to think about GPU clearance and whatnot. These days though I prefer the smaller systems. Not absolutely tiny, but I currently run a cooler master core V1 and I'm really happy with the balance between component capacity and size. It fits on my desk nicely, looks good. My temps are good, and these days I run a NAS so there is no reason to have a bunch of drives, I just have 2x 2TB m.2 drives and that's plenty enough for my games.
Awesome list!
Having 50% less limbs a smaller case would be nice, but for my first build in years i needed practice as you stated. I could only get the LL O11D Evo at the time anyways. Next build im going to try something thats easier for me to handle. Thanks for the inspiration!
Update time! Awesome video
Great roundup.
I would love to see a video like this about micro-ATX cases. I hate full towers, but need some PCI expansion + some storage area
About the shift xt I saw another video elsewhere where the top part stays in place thanks to the catchers also when fully extended. On the same the custom loop setup with only one rad had very tempting temps, not the best but still decent and paired with a very nice looking case.
I love my Li Lian TU150 as this is the only itx case can fit a D15 cpu cooler and a front intake fan for better air cooling.
I have the Lian Li Q58, and i really love it. Its compact but can fit 3 slot 30cm gpu's and watercooling, easy to transport, esthetics / design is nice (tempered glass) and much better availability in the EU then a DAN A4 or some niche cases where you pay allot just to import the case into your country.
It would be cool to see console like or slim ITX cases too. I built mine with 3D printers and lasercutter, but I'll have to do a v2 for more solid structure.
Built in an NR200. It's a fantastic case, although mine came with a broken power button. If you have an old GPU and want something you can hook up to a TV, a media center PC, or a compact gaming rig you really can't beat it. Also it's great for LAN parties since it's small, durable, and no glass side panel.
The H1 is awesome. It looks sick, and if it's your first ITX build it takes a lot of the stress out of selecting power/cooling. I already had an AIO and power supply so I went with the Meshlicious but if I was starting from scratch I'd definitely go for it.

You think NZXT case is worth it as first Itx build?
I have 4 computers in my house, 3 that I build and the 4th one being a docked laptop. the 3 computers that i built are all ITX and use the exact same motherboard, ram, and hard drive. they differ in their CPU (i9, i7, and i7) and case (NR200 and 2 HTPC cases). Love the ITX size as it is very flexible.
Been waiting for this video for a long time! Excellent!! I went away from ITX but it’s pulling me back I think……?
