Just an FYI from Brookes aunt Vickie. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement, it is truly appreciated. I protect and go to bat for my family. I don't and won't tolerate any negativity, spamming ( no pun intended) or bullying. Brooke isn't just my neice, she is one of my besties and I know she has a true heart of God and a servants spirit to help others. So don't even bother with any comment that will get you removed. It's a total waste of everyones time. I do have a opinion and I try to keep it in check, but just don't push it. BTW if a comment is removed it's not Brooke that does it, it will always be me so if you get mad it's not her fault.

Well you will never get negative from me and love this channel and as a southerner myself I just fell at home here. Love y'all and will always support this channel. Seeing that pressure cooker reminded me of my childhood when my mom and Nanny would either get things from the garden or our local farmers market by the bushel and spend all day getting things ready for the deep-freeze or canning. Y'all just brought me joy in Alabama 😊

If you don't like the channel or content then don't watch, but I figure most people make the remarks out of jealousy. They can't stand to see Brooke doing so good. I just recently found a channel called Make It Make. I think she lives in Amish country and has an Amish friend who she has interviewed, learned from, and tested out on her own some Amish ways of canning. They water bath everything, including meat, and always have. The main thing I think I have learned from her is that there are many ways to do things, and everyone needs to do their own research/learning and do what they feel is right for their family. Like Brooke, she is very kind, caring, and honest!

Even though pressure canning takes forever, I love that I don’t have to sterilize the jars or have them ready in a heated pot because I’m lazy and prefer raw pack canning.😂.

Just wanted to let you know that I canned Spam today using your recipe (it's actually in the pressure canner right now)! I had a half jar that didn't fit in the canner so I baked it in a 4" round cake pan at 375 degrees for 33 minutes. The internal temperature was 160 degrees, and it turned out wonderful! You are right - it is better than Spam! We can't wait to try the actual canned Spam! I really appreciate you and what you have taught this 73 yo lady who has canned almost her whole life! Spam will be a great addition to my beef, venison, chicken, corned beef, etc. as well as the veggies and fruits on my pantry shelves!

Thank you so much. I was looking at Spam at the market and it was $3.58 for 12 oz can. Well I calculated that five pounds of pork butt that I got for $0.99/lb after Christmas and tucked into the freezer plus $0.97/lb for ham that was marked down after Easter means that the meat for 6 pounds of spam would be $5.92 for the meat, and even adding as much as $0.50 for the other ingredients, it makes it around $6.50 for 6 pounds of Spam by your recipe. This would be, by my rough calculation, 8 equivalent cans, or $28.64 retail. Subtracting the cost of $6.50, and that's $22.14 saved and I wager that this is a vastly superior product. I understand that folks might not be able to get pork and ham for what I recently got them, but considering that Spam is $4.77/lb, I'm pretty sure that pork prices are lower than that in most areas. Not only is this beneficial in so many ways, it is very frugal. A jar (rule of thumb - 1 pint of meat is about 1 pound) of this would probably make enough sliders for a meal for your family of 5 and it would come in way under your $5.00 meal target. Again, this is nothing short of genius.

I just can’t eat spam. I had a bad experience with it many years ago and haven’t been able to eat it since then!! But thank you sweet Brooke for all the lovely things you share!! I will , however, take a piece of that beautiful red mater on a sammich 😂. PS… when we’re younger😂 my husband and I used to can deer meat!! It was just incredible!! I lost my sweetie 2 yrs ago and I sure miss all the wild game! Wild turkey was one of my fav things to cook❤

I think the only reason it could be considered rebel canning is because there could be issues getting all air bubbles out. BUT! If you’re worried about botulism just make sure you cook it for 10 minutes. I see channels who water bath meat, milk, butter…all the things. I love the idea of this and I think it’s great you’re sharing the recipe. I can’t wait to try it. Being on the internet can be hard. So many people have so many things to say that they would never say to your face. I think you’re doing great and I love your channel!!

I love spam here in Canada it is called Kam. We grew up on it on sandwiches with potato salad and fried. I so enjoyed this video. And also myself I am very protective of my niece. And a big believer of have no time for negative anything it never does a soul good. Have a great day all.

FYI I have been canning with my electric pressure cooker for years. The instruction manual has a whole chapter on how. I have done meat, veg, sauce, etc. So that part is my kitchen rule for rebel canning
