This will be my 4th Christmas without my husband, Donnie. We were together for almost 30 years, so I'm still working on finding my "new normal". I try to stay positive, as I know he'd want me to, although this time of year is tough. I don't want to turn into a Scrooge, so I'm doing all I can to keep my spirits up. We weren't blessed with children, so it's not that easy when you don't have family to help pull you out of your low spirits. But I do my best. The Red Lobster are basically biscuit mix and the topping is Old Bay and Garlic Powder, and maybe some dried parsley. You can find the amounts you should use for the pouch size, online. It's way cheaper than buying the mix, and really no more trouble. The biscuits and topping taste exactly the same if you use the drop biscuit recipe.

Love how Patrick served as your taste tester. ❤😊 The sausage balls look great - and loved seeing how you froze them so a large batch doesn’t go to waste with just a few people. Thanks!!

For another twist on sausage balls- one pound hot breakfast sausage, one box Krusteaz honey cornbread mix, 16 ounces grated cheddar cheese. Mix together and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. You can sub any sausage you like, maple would be good too.

I love the way Mr Patrick describes the flavors.

What a great idea to use cream cheese and the cheddar bay biscuits. If you only have Bisquick you could always add the Old Bay Seasoning to it. I have made a chicken pot pie and topped it with homemade cheddar biscuits. I melt butter and add the old bay seasoning and brush the top of the biscuits when they come out of the oven. Oh my, they are so good!

How interesting my BF who is Puerto Rican always makes a dip that is made with cream cheese, pimento peppers, and spam and he puts pineapple jam on it. And we dip Ritz in it.. It's very similar to yours just swap the spam out for bacon. We're definitely gonna try this version next time.

Yummy yummy yummy! Mel, those are mind blowing appetizers and so simple to do too. I think the favorite one I want to try is the Crack Chicken Bundles! Oh my goodness thank you Mel for this. I was wondering what new things I was going to take to our Christmas Eve party. I think my favorite was the pepper jelly one. I could almost taste it☃️🌲❤️

All these appetizers look wonderful. I’m definitely going to do the one with the crescent rolls. I also wanted to do the cream cheese dip but I unfortunately I’m unable to find the sweet red pepper jelly. I checked on the stores that carried the red pepper jelly and not one store had it and didn’t even know what it was. I found online the red pepper jelly but not the sweet one so my question is would it make a difference? Maybe if it doesn’t, I can purchase it online and have it for next year. If anyone reading this could help me out, I’d be so grateful. Wishing all you a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Merry Christmas. Try pimento cheese in place of cheddar cheese. They are fantastic. And they stay much more moist than the traditional.

I'm definitely going to have to try these. I like to take the little smokey sausages. Wrap those with bacon and sprinkle some brown sugar over the top & bake them up, theyre's really good. Also you can put a bag of little smokies in the crockpot with a whole bottle of chili sauce and a can of cranberry sauce, and that's also really good. ❤
