There are endless options for high chairs out there. But not all of them are ones that we want to use with our babies! Many high chairs aren’t made with your baby’s actual ability to eat in mind, especially if you have a six month old. In this video, I’m taking you through many high chairs available today, from ones that claim to be ergonomically correct for your baby to ones that are much more traditional high chairs. Come join me to find out the high chair that I hands down recommend that you buy!

I like that you address how the foot rest on the Tripp Trapp and others would work if your baby is on the lower side of the growth chart - This is the only video that answered my question about this - Thank you!!!!

I wish I had seen this before we got an Abiie Beyond for my now-almost-two-year-old. I haaaaate it. When he was little we used the tray, and it was so hard to remove. We had to put books under his feet, which he'd kick off, and a cushion behind him, and it was never great. Now that he's almost two, it's better, but he still leans back in the seat. The seat is deep, and the back leans him back at an angle. In order to sit straight up, he's completely away from the back support.

However as of right now (they are three) we sold our dinning table and waiting to find one we like. We have been using their small play/craft table with chair for their meals and that honestly has worked great. So I would totally recommend getting the cheap IKEA chair and possibly a small table with chairs later which can be used for multiple things if you can’t afford the stokke!

I 100% regret buying the Stokke Steps because it doesn't transition well from baby to toddlerhood. The front part of the baby set (the harness) is not removable. It makes it hard for my two year old to climb out of independently. Without the baby set the seat is too low. It's not adjustable like the Trip Trap. So now the chair is just awkward for her. I wish we had gone with the Trip Trap instead.

I have the Stokke Steps for one of my kids. There is a screw that holds the front rail of the baby set in place. If you take that out you can use the baby set back part without the front rail. So that helps with toddlers. I also found that having a very thick cushion helps with toddlers as an alternative. I really wish the seat was adjustable though. I agree that the seat without the baby set or a thick cushion is too low for toddlers.

However it would be good to have an alternative cheaper option given as a suggestion for those who cannot afford essentially the most expensive one on the market. Just a thought. Parents want to do their best and as a "professional" you should be prepared to leave the bias and always have a 2nd option.

I’ve been using the ikea one since my son was 6 months old, but now at 15 months his thighs are too chunky for the leg holes. It’s definitely easy to clean, but he’s constantly dropping food in his lap because the tray doesn’t come close enough to his chest.
