    Hi i am a new subscriber, great video! Question: What heat press heats up the fastest? Ricoma or HPN?

  • @BigBrandoh

    @BigBrandoh

    8 ай бұрын

    Ricoma heats up the fastest but HPN is ready to press quicker. remember heating up and ready to press are two different things. example: both presses set at 320 degrees. Both presses will go over 320 when you first turn it on. it doesnt just go to 320 and stops. it'll go to 340-360 yo make sure the whole heating platen is hot then tapers down to its target heat of 320. so Ricoma will beep first meaning its reached 320 but it'll stay around 340-350 for a while till it comes down to 320. HPN will get to 320 slower but will be ready to use a lot faster than ricoma. it'll go to 340 and come down to 320 quicker. hope this makes sense.

  • @BigBrandoh

    i press 5x and 7x shirts on my 15x15 press. none of my designs ever go wider than 15". but they do make huge presses 30"x40" or 55"x 55" etc... thats how they do the big over all print stuff. if you got a homie that wears a big size. take a ruler or tape measure and measure the center of his chest, go nipple to nipple. its usually within 14" or so. i wear a XXL and nipple to nipple on me is 11" design wider than that might land in the armpits.

    I noticed on the 2nd press at the end of the video when you pressed the back transfer and took it off, there's a big white blob on your bottom pad. Is that from the front transfer staining the pad as you apply the back transfer? Would it be a good idea to put down teflon then the shirt on top of that to avoid, or is it never an issue? Just seems like that white would press into shirts and leave residue marks.

  • @BigBrandoh

    @BigBrandoh

    2 ай бұрын

    you can put down teflon if you wanted too. i choose not too because that makes the pressing surface slippery. i like my shirts to stay in one place when pressing or laying transfers down. the base cover provides just enough friction to hold the shirt in place but also makes it easy to load and unload shirts on the bottom platen. that white mark is from testing transfers from multiple companies. some companies use inks that bleed over under heat. i like to not use those types of transfers or companies. but you never know how these transfers react unless you test them out first. thats why i choose to use the companies i use now because they pass all the tests i throw at them and provide the quality and durability i believe in.

    haha you must be new here hahaa cuz nobody pays me to make videos. so clearly your just assuming things. BUT, by your logic, if i drive a Toyota Tacoma, if i say this is the best truck, you assume that Toyota pays me? also somebody that drives a Chevy will disagree with my statement and say Chevy makes the best trucks. so by you saying Tajima and Barudan or GeoKnight is the best, are you getting paid by them to write this comment??? hahahaaa BUT i own a geoknight if you say theyre the best why did my press break 4 times? and my HPN has no issues? how is the best this faulty? i also own a hotronix that broke 3 times and my Ricoma and HPN have had no issues. hahahaaa everybody uses what works for them, there is NO best, thats a personal opinion based on the owner/operator. hahahaa this isnt even a honest comment. 😂😂😂
