Hey Chris! Really appreciate your content man. I’ve been following you since the Sti build and you’ve really help me by sharing your journey. I’m having trouble getting in touch with idoing which is concerning. Do you have a valid contact link for them. My main question is does this unit maintain the factory sync3 interface? Specifically will I still be able to use my ambient lighting function. I’ve tried there chat and the email links are invalid. Just wanted to see if you can help me get in touch with the company. Hey man. Thanks for the support! Contact them on Instagram. They usually respond there. No this does not retain the sync system. However, the ambient lighting will work with this unit as there is a selection to turn that on/off.

Got me a Yulu E10 a few months back. This looks like an uppdated version of that. A few observations. On mine, I moved the Sync 3 unit from the old radio to the new unit . That was to keep the original chime, and am/fm, Sirius, etc The thing that sucked and I miss is when playing Sirius, I lost the artist/song info. Yes I can get that throgh the app in Carplay but sometimes I dont want to switch as Carplay doesnt alway auto connect. A few other observations that perhaps you an tell me if this unit has these: Backup trailer assist no longer works - not that I really used it but if someone is thinking about it keep that in mind. You didn'tmention whether this has a sim card connection On mine, the compass on the dash near the speedo no longer works it stays on N. Does yours still function? Would I purchase again? Hard to say. $1000 for my unit is steep. I do like the wireless Car play, access to Google Play and all of the apps. Ability to watch KZreadTV, Netflix, etc on the screen. Large Waze screen. Ability to have a split screen with 2 apps. All things you can do with your unit. The interface actually looks the same as mine. I think that yours is just updated. I usually need to reboot it once a week. Let me know how yours is with stability. I am jealous of that volume knob. I miss that on mine. Lastly, most states have laws that prohibit playing video in the drivers area while driving. Before doing so, make sure it is legal in your state. Thaanks for the video and I look forward to seeing some updates as you learn its features.

I have a 2015 Lariat F150 and the lane warning departure systems aren’t working. Neither are the reverse sensors when backing up. Any ideas?

I bought the unit and am having consistent issues with the connectivity between my phone and the device while in the Tlink5 app. Any suggestions to fix this issue? This is the main reason for the purchase and it’s quite the let down.

Sounds great and no complaints. Xm does not work on this unit. Auto a/c and ambient both work as well.

Not sure if I want to go this route or sync 3 upgrade for mine. keep us updated on how this holds up.

Either option is a great route to go. I prefer the larger screen and extra features this one provides. Really makes the truck feel new and up to date.

What trim do you have? I have a 2019 XLT. I believe I'm on sync3 and have carplay but it's wired. Was yours like that too before? Only wired, now it's wireless? I've also done other mods via FORESCAN and upgraded my basic mirror to power fold by BOOST, will any of that be affected?

You do not since it does not have the venting to do it. You do get auto though.

I saw your other video with the subwoofer and amp that you installed, but at the 18:37 mark on this video, you said you didn't have an amp. Did you take that powered amp out from behind the back seat? Also... (sorry, I haven't looked around yet... I just found your channel), do you have any updates on this system after 3 months of use? One final question... you said you had SYNC 3. Did you upgrade to that yourself? My 2015 has SYNC 2, and I don't have carplay (or android auto). Would this iDoing unit allow for that if my truck doesn't have that capability now? Thanks!

The sub amp is part of the sub. I did not remove that. Yes I upgraded from sync 2 to sync 3 kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6h4yblvqa-vebg.htmlsi=qK6ucolbn_XySiyC. You do not need CarPlay to have CarPlay work with the idoing unit.

When directed to your attached link to buy, it shows, “Ship to • United States • This product can't be shipped to your address. Select another product or address.” Very confusing.. Any suggestions or explanation?

Does it have optical and hdmi ports? Did it have 2 or 3 usb ports? Thanks

Yes it has an optical. It comes with 2 USB’s that you can plug in and run.

Few questions. Can you confirm yet that the battery issue is not due to the new unit? I'm not a fan of the chromelike knobs, is it possible to swap knobs from the parts removed? Carplay is wireless correct? No need to swap the exiting Apim onto the new unit? They seem to sell a model for Auto AC and manual AC but you mention having manual AC but that Auto AC works now that you have the new unit?

Yes, just my specific battery on its way out. Yes, knobs are removable and you can paint to black or whatever color you choose. Yes, CarPlay is wireless. No need to swap the apim over. The auto works for the temperature, but not the fan vent location. Just adjusts the temperature automatically.

You have to reground the backup camera in the tailgate to a bolt behind the camera. Quality is perfect after that is done.

So you remove the Ford Synch unit with the screen and it is not needed or you need the Synch Unit?

I don’t but yes the unit has the ability to turn the seats on/off for cool and heat. You can actually see the heated seat option in the hvac screen.

I’ve had the unit now for a few weeks. And yes, the HVAC portion of the screen does have an option that would lead you to believe the heated seats function still works. HOWEVER, to date, they cannot be turned on by what is offered. Just a note for those interested in purchasing this unit. I cannot get the heated seats to work. I installed this unit last weekend, I am seeing much worse Camera Performance with this unit. Overall I am happy with it, but video quality is horrible for the backup camera...reminiscent of 80;s scrambled cable. Question, do I need to maybe run a new wire and camera to my truck for improved performance? Anyone else replace the camera and have improved performance that can share the make and model of the camera and cables? I have highly modified 2.7 Ford F150 Crew Cab 2015 with console shifter as a reference point.

I still haven’t found a solution to this. I talk to idoing at length about it and they are saying there isn’t enough voltage to supply a steady picture. Could be my battery though.
