Thanks for the video. Is there a handheld 11 meter radio that has sideband as well? I know there used to be handheld radios called the Cherokee AH-100 or Magnum 1012 or the Albrecht AE201S. I'm just wondering if there is a current day model of a handheld with SSB. Thank you

Yes. The Midland 75-822 has a car adapter has a dual pigtail with a cigarette lighter plug and PL256 adapter for connecting to an external antenna.

@@donalderickson-si8ww, I've been using a Midland 75-822 for over fifteen or so years. The radio is easy to transfer from vehicle to vehicle. Coupled with a good quality mag mount antenna and you will have a good setup.
i have a uniden pro 401hh - handheld awful, even on the highway every channel is weak signal. i think its underpowered a watt or two. will be looking for something better

you are transmitting from the inside of your car the medial frame is reducing you signel buy a moble and put the antenna on your trunk use wax paper to protect the pant

Inside your vehicle is what is called a "faraday cage", meaning your vehicle blocks a majority of signal going into/out of the vehicle. Not many HT radios can overcome that unless you grab an outside antenna.
