I’m almost 70. I’ve epilated my whole adult life and advise it’s the best way I know. I began with the “epilady” which was archaic and rough a coil that spun around. Oh how they’ve improved. I barely have a few straggly hairs now. Suffer through the first few times then it doesn’t hurt at all. I’ve had a few different ones just bought this one and really like it. It is truly much better than shaving by 100 X

Girl slow down! I've been epilating for years, and it's so much better if you take a long slow stroke up the leg. Ankle to knee about 10-15 seconds. THEN you can go back and clean up with quick strokes but it will be so much faster and more efficient! Welcome to the club 😎

I recently purchased the same model epilator and it really helps to have an ice pack on hand while removing the hair. To clean the device, I use first soap water then hydrogen Peroxide. Putting them in spray bottles works even faster. I try to avoid using alcohol on the device because it can be very harsh. For treating the skin after epilation, I like to apply Hydrogen Peroxide once again (to prevent infections) and then some aloe Vera gel, finishing up with Cerve moisturizer. For those with sensitive skin, it's best to use this device on level one speed, whether your epilating or shaving because this device can be intense. The hair trimmer works well - it's my personal favorite. Just wanted to share my tips, hoping someone can use this info. ✌

Thank you for your review! I'm a bit shocked about the noise. If there is somebody out there who has any idea to reduce the noise (by modifying the device or by adding something in the room, etc.), please tell me 💗. I currently use Silk Épil 7 but the noise seems to be the same. Actually your risk to break your hair is lower while using the slower mode. So you will have more time until your hair will grow again. I tried many things to get rid of my body hair but I have been loyal to Silk Épil since my early teenage days. I use it everywhere except of my face, as I don't need it there which is a gift. Unfortunately, the rest of my body is very hairy. The only contra argument is this loud noise which makes it nearly impossible to use it if you live in a household with a person who cannot leave the house because of an illness. If I shave my legs, it looks like a skin rash which itches a lot. The last time when I tried waxing (warm wax), I removed the first skin layer of my bikini zone and I will never try it again. I guess I'm too stupid for cold wax as I only achieved to get covered not only my legs but the whole bathroom floor with my pink wax and in the end, I couldn't get rid of it anymore (but the hair was still on my skin, though) and I had to wear my long trousers. When I was at school, I used a lot depilatory creams. Nowadays, I color my hair only with henna and etheric oils because I don't want to damage the environment for something which won't kill me if I don't do it and I can't imagine to use depilatory creams anymore, even if they did a great and very precise job. Now I would like to find an epilator which doesn't break my hair as I won't be able to use it every week, because of the noise. And I will give another try to my Epilette (which "erases" the hair because you have to rub it on your skin). When I used it the last time, it could have been worse. It was effective, but obviously, it doesn't stay for a long time.

im sorry if youve already answered this before, but what exfoliate do you use? i feel kind of lost as to what to exfoliate with lol.. i have a couple products ive mixed together but it feels terrible on my skin! also im highly thinking about using this now especially for my chin hair, its such a constant problem for me and i hate it.. how long does this last for i wonder? cus i have a super low pain tolerance lol 🌞 cheers!

Hi! I actually don't have a super good recommendation for exfoliation... when I remember to do it I just use a little shower scrubby mitt thing? I personally have really sensitive skin so any kind of hair pulling around my face can get a little aggravated butttt I've used the little shaver thing on this and it's pretty fantastic! Results only last a week or so depending on the cycle of the hair growth (and probably depending on the person too). Hope that helped!

Hi, a question about this epilator as m just about to place an order! How long does it work for once charged? Have you had problems like running out of battery before you finish??

I've tried this little bad guy yesterday. Legs were a piece of cake, but armpits and bikini area were a total torture 😨 Can't even think of carry on using it down below as my body's still traumatised by the pain😖 I wish I could overcome it as others say the first epilation is always the worst..

The first time is definitely the worst! I've found that waxing first and then just upkeep every week has made it more manageable than going straight in for epilation the first time :) best of luck with the little device haha

I have commented and used epilator for decades. My whole adult life and I’m going on 70. It is the only way for legs. I can do chin. Hurts but I can do it. Cannot never could underarm. I don’t see how anyone could. I don’t think I have a great tolerance for pain but I encourage people to do it and they can’t take the pain which surprised me because I could the first few times when it was painful. Then slightly discomfortable until almost feels good and hairs grow back thinner and finer after years.
