Got her after 153 pulls with a lost 50/50 to E1 Gepard but I'm just happy to finally have a new DoT inflictor in my Kafka team! Bit salty about having a 16.67% 50/50 winrate with only 1 win but at least I tend to lose to the more favourable standard banner characters. Also finally got my free 5* from standard so Bronya is now E1S1

Feels like I've been building this team since forever, BS, Kafka, Ruan Mei and HuoHuo will be amazing to play :D

Focus on Kafka. She is the core of Dot teams. Then black swan is 2nd. Then you can use Ruan/pela/Asta + a sustain and have a fully functional dot team.

Me since last banner. I had prefarmed for Dr. ratio, but I also got Kafka and Himeko. So I'm still levelling Kafka, Himeko, and Sampo for the DoT team 😭

@@nousagi35 Build Sampo/Gui for her teams and wait for Kafka rerun. She also works with Serval/Asta use them depending on enemy weaknesses but it's more niche.

I was already farming Prisoner in an attempt to get enough speed subs to switch to attack% boots for Kafka, so I've got a ton of great relics ready for Black Swan already!

In order to save for the other crazy characters coming out, I'm sticking with my s5 eyes of the prey. It's probably best used on her anyway compared to my other nihility units and isn't that much worse than her signature. Thanks for confirming that.

Ok so i got a question regarding how much EHR should be om swan. affer i got the final build down on a lvl 20 character, final Hit rate is around 94.7, another 10%, from traces, so 104.7% overall. Now, should i use Before Tutorial s5, or Night prey(sampo LC at S1 sadly) (124.7 vs 144.7), while going atk rope and sphere.

First of all, thank you so much for your guides and especially for inserting subtitles into your videos, they are really very useful for people like me who still struggle to follow spoken English. A question about the DoT teams: since I don't have Ruan Mei (I had to skip her to get Kafka), in your opinion as a temporary replacement is it better to go with 3 DoT chars (Kafka, Black Swan and Guinaifen) or just replace Ruan Mei with Tingyun/Pela? THANK you! ill appreciate an advice tho ! my BS is E6 and ill be runing her with E6 Ruan mei Kafka HH as team. . im struggling with some specific stuff that i really will apprecaite your help and advice ! 1: energy and rotation, with E4 and having HH you can actually get perma 3 turns rotation SP possitive skill basic basic.. do you think it worth it ? or better stick to attack % rope and 4 turn rotation? 2: Speed ! with Ruan and HH ill be getting 22% speed boost (10 from Ruan 12% from HH e1) however Kafka is very fast as she doesnt need the 120 EHR, and her signature gives alot of speed. so for BS to be faster than Kafka is unrealistic in my situation, and im questioning if in my setup with the 22% speed and E6 (at E6 allies can apply arcana, and you can sometimes reach the 50 stacks limit) if my goal should still be 161 speed (total including the 22% speed so 140 speed +22%) or in this case would it be better for me to use attack % boots and get 10 speed on substats (easy) which will leave me at 134 speed total (112+22% speed) maybe ERR rope + attack % boots? would love to know your opinion overall if still worth going for the 144-161 speed total if its not possible to outspeed kafka. or better 134-144 speed and maybe attack boots. thanks alot ! 3: considering E4 -10% ress doesnt really have good uptime 50-66% uptime is it really good enough to stop at 120 EHR? or do i maybe want to try push for 140 ish ehr for more chance to apply? thanks alot and hopefully youd give advice ^^

One thing about Ruan Mei’s paired with Kafka is that you can actually run a slower Ruan Mei. Her technique allows her to deploy her skill boost at the beginning of the battle so you don’t have to be preoccupied a lot by her speed tuning 😊

Does Epiphany work with follow-up attacks when they trigger on the enemy turn? Mainly Clara, I think her counter counts as an action inside the enemy's turn, maybe Ratio too if Clara procs his ultimate mark, but not Numby and Lightning Lord because they have their own turns... Idk, DoTs are fun but follow-up just activate my neurons so much more...

Great guide as always, but as someone who was blessed with kafka last patch and is now scrambling to build dot It would be nice to know how Swan does in fire weak vs Gui. Really want Sparkle but debating if it's gonna be better to just grab Swan.

Black Swan is insanely fun to play and the Arcana mechanics are very addictive. There's something so satisfying about racking up 20-30 Arcana stacks and then seeing a 100k DoT tick blast the enemy at the end of the turn. If you like the ramping playstyle of DoT but felt that HSR's DoT system was a little too simple, get Black Swan!

@@scy11a17 Yeah MoC. You can stack it to 30 with a Kafka team during the cycles where Black Swan ults, if you have enough speed. If there are multiple targets (double bosses especially), they can inflict stacks on the enemy next to the when their Arcana stacks pop as well.

It'd be better to use Sampo then. All she wants is DoT activation, but it's also quite rare. That said it's a game so who cares. Maybe with her E1, and a preservation unit equipped with the LC that causes burn.

I got her since I just wanted some misha and Goon coopies, But I also got her E1. I don't have kafka probably pair her with goon and sampo. Also is welt LC not good for her? :

She does seem like a great Luka support for MoC at E1. While often overlooked, his break damage can down pretty much anything at 200+ BE so for rooms with less but more powerful enemies he slaps, pretty much saved getting the last star for me lately. Ruan Mei is great too since having her RES PEN up is very noticable and this will pretty much double the effect. Then again Kafka can detonate it twice alongside his detonation so some testing is needed.

Gouba, I just pulled black swan thinking I would lose the 50/50. I don't have any other dot characters, can use her as a support character with my Blade or Ratio?

So... I got lucky and somehow got E1 blackswam, what do you think about her E2? I thought about it but wouldn't her E2 just makes it so that PF is just an afk simulator lol unless she is already capable of that. Sadly I do not own Kafka but since I have her E1, I was wondering if there's any character that would be really good to use with her that is not DoTs. Currently using my support build Guinaifen (built for Ratio) with her and despite blackswan not being well built yet, they both performed really well. Since they both are debuffing the enemies quite hard, I was thinking of using maybe Sam since there is fire-res or perhaps even a team like Blackswan, Blade, Bronya, Huo Huo since she does def shread and res pen and free decent damage. How good do you think is her support capabilities compared to other existing characters?

I was originally gonna go for dhil because black swan's trial felt underwhelming, but after seeing how her potential can be maximized with Kafka, I'll def go for her because I just got Kafka recently

i'm newbie in hsr, what better to BS from the point of math, e2 samp, e1 asta or e0 hany? Deciding for forth slot (BS, E6 guinaifen, lynx).

won my 4th 50/50 in a row i was farming relics for my sampo e6 and quanifen which is now e6 but sitting on 138 speed with 120 effect hit rate on a attack chest piece. But still had to check in on the guide great stuff 🙏

Premium DoT team completed with Kafka E1 and S1 on it .🎉 Now i only need Sparkle, Acheron, Sam and Sunday 🤠👍 Penacony is a LOT of fun tho, i can see what they were cooking all the time since beta as the Xianzhou arc already existed in beta so it wasnt surprising as a whole. Penacony just got my jaw dropped every 5 minutes

Should I go for E1 Dan Heng IL or Black Swan? I don't have DoT units built nor Kafka, but I'm definitely going for Dan Heng IL's Lightcone

I thought bout pulling black swan but decided to go for Misha on dhil banner and accidentally got an 11 pity dhil e1 (alr got a dhil with signature prior to 2.0) guess I'll be saving for sparkle, waiting for her guide!

BROOOO i really teared up between blackswan or hanabi, and whether I should spend for their lc. Which option that is gonna be a better investment for an f2p account, guoba? For context my main dps are kafka, jingliu and ratio (all S1). I also got ruanmei, bronya, topaz and welt for support/2nd dps. THIS PATCH IS TOO MUCH FOR ME :(

Which is better for her E1 or S1. And where does Kafkas E1 or S1 rank in this comparison? Because a lot of players getting Black Swan are those who already have or are planning to get Kafka. So if they wanted to upgrade that team their main options would most likely be E1 for Kafka or B.Swan and S1 for Kafka or B.Swan. So personally in what order of priority would you rank these 4 options.?

is she a good character to pair with Dr. Ratio? I am currently at 72 pulls on chara banner and 68 on weapon banner, so I can get E0S1. Is it better to just save and wait for Topaz? Who is better for him?

I wonder if building hyperspeed kafka with ERR would be best. It seems that kafka is best as a dot support rather since she herself doesn't actually deal that much damage, rather she's there to proc the dots of others

How about: Huohuo, kafka, black swan, sampo, is that good too? And would you guide me how the rotation with this team comp? Thanks in advance

Thats a fine team yep :) Sampo EAA, huohuo EAA, Kafka E Spam, BS EA I guess, ideally BS Skills more than not.

How do I make my best out of my team? I am trying to run her with E4 Sampo GNSW1, Guinaifen E4 GNSW1, and Gepard S1? I feel kinda lost after pulling her and her S1, lost two 50/50s and kinda regretting it a bit :(

The answer you don't want to hear, save for Kafka and get her on her next re-run. The answer that I can best give for your situation. triple DOT is a scam it doesn't do as much damage as you think it will even with Kafka, double DOT plus support plus sustain is the way to go. Unless you know you can clear whatever without healing or shielding then you can go triple dot with a support. But the dots feel like they need a support to really make them shine. As far as order I would say Ruan Mei (she buffs whole team which works for your double DPS comp in DOT as well as her special break effect is great for having the enemies take more dots). Asta is a great choice because she gives team attack buff, speed buff, and the cherry on top is a little DOT of her own that you can capitalize off of. Then I would say maybe Tingyun, she can give an attack buff. More ults for your Black Swan and she is lightning so if she breaks it's another DOT. Hanya isn't a bad choice due to more skillpoints for your DPS to use and she is physical which is a DOT break element. Wouldn't recommend Bronya because she deals more with crit DPS and your aren't really looking to crit here. But if you have her built and no other supports go for it. Sustain units you can run anything but I think the best is HouHou, she gives attack buff energy and she is wind so her breaks are another DOT. After HouHou I would say Bailu is another great choice because she is lightning. (pretty much looking for a fire, wind, physical, or lightning in your support and sustain isn't a bad Idea because there is a chance for more DOTS) Last is fire MC because more dots... Now for the big thing. DOT teams take alot of investment, you're investing in two dps and in truth you really want to swap out dps/support/sustain as needed, you want to have a good pool of units to counter the weaknesses of the enemies to get more dots. so getting your Sampo, Guinaifen, Luka, and serval all up to snuff is in a way sort of needed so you can answer any weakness that relates to DOTS. However you are correct to focus more on Guin and Sampo as they are the best of the 4 star DOT DPS. I would put Guin more over sampo I like her debuff she gives and she is a different element then BlackSwan, So like say I was starting a simulated universe run I would take Black Swan, Guin, a support, and a sustain, and then pick up sampo later. and if the boss doesn't have fire weakness but has wind, just drop guin for sampo. All of this can be ignored if you have Kafka though and you can just run Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, and HouHou and absolutely demolish everything. but yes that is heavy invesment.
