Regarding the shakiness with HyperSmooth off, THANK YOU for pointing this out. I had the same issue and thought I was going crazy. Initially I thought I had a bad gimbal, but then I got the same results with a different gimbal. I then suspected I had a defective Hero10 and was ready to submit a warranty claim with GoPro. Instead I bought another Hero10 to see if it did the same thing, and it did! So bad gimbals and one defective camera were ruled out. At this point I can only conclude that there's a design flaw with the Hero10. It's a shame we can't benefit from using the camera's full frame without a HyperSmooth crop.

Do you have an issue with hearing the gimbal's motor in your video's? I saw a lot of people complaining about that in their reviews on Amazon and said that it was interfering so much that they were returning it.

With the high resolution and many things go pro eats batteries which is not surprising technically, this one when compared to the Volta is a better alternative as it gives stabilizing and also very good battery back when needed . went for a multi day rafting and this helped me handy as a back up battery too .

10:44 for charge gopro9/10 with short cable need flip the camera on gimbal. then the right side with the connector will be on the left side

Thanks. It's good that this gimbal can be used for a power source for GoPro cameras but not good that the cables are too short to use with the GoPro 10 as I have one. I wouldn't be able to charge the camera with its protective silicon case on anyway, unfortunately.

Very good review, many thanks for uploading. I'd make a couple of points however: it would have been very useful to have some comments on the Hohem app. and how well it worked with your GoPro. Also, I think when you're talking to the camera you should move a bit further back from it - it just felt waaaay too close for comfort!

Also when you are using ND filters on your GoPro you need a gimbal. Reducing shutter speed brakes camera stabilization.

There is no dedicated portait mode as such. You can point the camera in portsit mods in FPV mode though.

I came to the same Conclusion about having to use hypersmooth today with the bumps I was seeing.

Max lens mod is amazing , gotta review it on my channel :) have it but so busy with other projects for now, i would love you te able to use it in 4k or 5k but its limited to 2.7 k :/

Yes , if it replaces the protective lens like Polar pro does

The gimbal mount works great - but my Hero9 (like many Hero9s) has an unfixable audio 'crackling' hardware glitch -- and without a decent soundtrack, my plans for a run-and-gun walking-around gimbal setup have been collecting dust. So before you order any gimbal, I advise using your camera like it's on a gimbal to ensure it actually works correctly.

@@Tomasz.Nowacki It is a well known defect where the audio crackles for the first few minutes. Gopro admits the problem, and says that it is unfixable in software. Search for hero9 Crackling and you can read all about it.

Is their a way for a small light to be mounted to the camera with this?

I think the mounting bracket is so close to the protective lens that u can’t attach any adapters to it but maybe I’m wrong

Hi Tomasz, Where is the media saved? Is it saved on the GoPro SD Card, Go Pro App or is it saved on Hohem App? I have a DJI OM 4 SE for mobile phone and the media gets saved on Mobile phone. This impacts the storage on the mobile phone.

For gopro 6 i would definitely recommend you GoPro Karma Grip as it has superior image stabilisation :)

You mean Vertical shots ? No it cant it doesnt have a dedicated Mode to do it with ease but you can move your camera like that in POV mode just do it manually , I dont know Moza gimbal but i tested isteady and olease take a look at stabilisation without hypersmooth , motion timelapse , inception rffevt and thebfavt you can use it as a power bank and see if it helps you on your project :)

Does this gimbal work with the Osmo Action1. Another review stated that it's only for GoPro and one of the cons is that Camera connection only works with GoPro. What does that mean? Can the gimbal controls be used to changed modes etc.? Much appreciate if anyone can advise.

Ohh it works witg osmo action 1 but if you want to wirelesspy control yoyr camera then it only connects to a gopro.

THanks or that video. One thing I noticed, though, and it's that you mentioned one of the biggest pros for this gimbal is the ability to shoot in a wide field of view, without stabilization on, and at the end you said that you actually can't... I wonder if it happens with different cameras also. I have the Osmo Action, and I really want to buy this gimbal, now you scared me a little. After all, the Osmo Action doesn't have such strong stabilization as the GoPro 10.

If you dont plan to shoot in low light you can still use a little bit of osmo stabilisation for best performance , im not exactly 100% sure if its my fault or not cause you can make the mogors strongernin the hohem app but guys from hohem said its ok to me so i guess the motors arent that strong and you need some in camera stabilisation :/

I dont think it works with action 2 cause its so small , it needs to look like a gopro camera , be around the same size to work with it but pleaee feel free to ask hohem about it perhaps im wrong

Unfortunately you dont have a dedicated mode that gonna quickly switch to vertical , thpugh in POV mode you can rotate tha camera manually like that if you want

Pity you can't fit a GoPro 11 with a media mod so its a NoGo for me. With a Zhiyun Crane M2S I can fit a GP11,media mod and the DJI mics. Shame really.

Its a nice addition to GoPro but hypersmooth is good enough on its own, i higly recomme d it for motion timelqpse though

Just put the GoPro upside down so u can connect the cable provided for continuous charging without removing the battery.

Correct the latest tutorial videos from the manufacturer says to flip the gopro in the gimbal to use the supplied cables.

It works with hero 11 as well :) but since you have 360 horizon leveling in there you would only need a gimbal for smooth panning and tilt shots

:( I bought it and gave it back. This gimbal sucks, it's useless without hypersmooth - microvibrations, jumps. This cannot be compensated for in the settings. Goods pointless.
