    ❤ the sparkle in your eye when the joy of your new toy hit you...made me realize that's why I'm still watching your videos. Years ago I was determined to buy a sawmill! Did tons of research, decided on woodland mills for a variety of reasons. Next day, the algorithm sent your channel to me. I instantly liked the way you teach, stayed to learn. Shit happens and years later I still don't have my sawmill, but I'm still watching your channel. A friend is watching w/me and she said, I don't understand a thing he's saying. I said, neither do I, but he's so passionate about it, I can't help but watch! So, thank you for sharing your passion with the world!! It's heartwarming to see people doing something they ❤

    That looks like a very professional setup they provide. (AND a professional job of installation, Sandy)!! You didn't mention it, but the pressure line and return line have different connectors so they cannot be connected reversed. You also did a good job on installing the controller in the cab, and zip tying all the wires and hoses. I'm guessing either the mower or grapple operate from the same controller now? You have another, existing set of hydraulic connectors on the loader crossbar. What are those for, Sandy? Have you got a front end, hydraulic snow blower? Or???? Having operated a rear mount, PTO driven mower those things can be extremely dangerous. This one especially, with the cutting blade extending beyond the front of the mower deck. They'll easily start fires if the blade strikes rock, and there's A LOT of torque when those blades are spinning. Make damn sure your dog or other pet is nowhere near that thing when you operate it. Looking forward to seeing it in action....

  • @sawingwithsandy

    @sawingwithsandy

    6 ай бұрын

    Hey Carl! Thanks for checking out the install. Well pretty well I think. The third connection that came with the third function kit is the pressure line for the grapple which has two separate buttons on the joystick to operate. Up until now I was using long hoses hooked to my rear remotes running up to the front loader to operate my grapple. This third function will be a huge upgrade for that

The first time you use that new 3rd function valve on the loader joystick, you'll likely say why did I wait so long to get one of these. I wonder how it's going to cut coming down side ways on the branches on narrow trails cause you can't come in straight if there not wide enough.that's the trouble i have.

    In this case this Lane Shark is pretty unique because the blades can actually rotate so they are perpendicular to the ground. Makes for a great tool for cutting branches overhanging trails

    The two connection points on the torque tube on my loader which were there before my third function kit install are long hoses hooked to my rear remotes. This will be my first third function that I'll use for the grapple now

    The rear outlets are not intended to work with a hydraulic motor. A motor control valve will allow the motor to slow down and then stop. The regular remote valve would cause the motor to stop abruptly and damage seals and eventually the motor. There is a lot of momentum with the blades spinning.

    I’d be curious if there is going to be debris kicked back at you much when you do higher brush cutting. If it does, I would be concerned with the windshield catching something and getting broken.
