Hyssop is amazing, butterflies love it. I agree with you, it attracts more butterflies than any other flower.
Mexican sunflower is my number one in the garden.

Ahh, My brother and sister in-law have multiple Mexican sunflower, they love it. I need to plant some and see what it brings in. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, Hyssop is native to California and does well in zones 4-9, Lot's of butterflies love this flower including Monarchs, Swallowtails, Sulphurs and more. If you plant the first year may be a bit small and less flowering but by year two the flower should thrive and attract lots of butterflies. Sun and partial sun work great.
