Totally agree the SWR 158/159s are some of the most comfort around, especially with the original seating. Up here in EMR land we've acquired one of the 158s, much better seating - none of the high seatbacks that can block the window views and first class has been deregulated :)

Yeah this was edited before I hit 1000 back in April! So unfortunately I wasn't able to change it as I'd have to cut out of parts of the video.

Great video and good job for hitting 1k subscribers I think u should try the class 172 and ur thoughts about it

I'm going from Birmingham to Hereford soon so that could be a 172!

South Western Railway still haven’t confirmed yet about when or if they are to introduce the Class 701 Arterios in service that is to operate on the suburban services in and around Southwest London and Reading & Windsor and Eton services. But they do have the best rolling stocks on their network including Class 458 Juniper, Class 444 & Class 450 Desiro. And the Class 158 & Class 159 Sprinter Express DMUs.

@@arnoldspottingvideos5269 I think Madeline is spot on. I can see SWR keeping the Class 458/5s to be used on London Waterloo-Portsmouth Harbour via the Portsmouth Direct Line.

I don’t mind EMR’s intercity trains in standard, they’re a little grubby but overall nice trains, but the 158/159s are the best imho!
