Our final comparison test of the year is in the books, as we recently wrapped up testing for our 2024 Edition Shootout. Swapmoto Live test riders spent their final day of testing out at LACR, where they ultimately ranked each manufacture in the order they would choose to purchase them. I wish all of the manufactuers would make a "factory" edition bike. So cool.
I am in Love with my 2024.5 KTM Factory Edition ! not just the looks , but they did an awesome job on everything about the bike!

I was at my local Honda Saturday getting my daughter a white/pink crf50. They had a factory edition CRF450, and man that thing is so badass! A rolling piece of art!

It is beautiful. I've got my first KTM and it's beyond great but there's that Honda feel and sound. My KTM is awesome but man, it sounds like it doesn't have oil in it 😕 compared to Honda. Clearly Honda is going to have to step up their game. Good for you and me.
Got my 2024.5 KTM 450 FE to accompany my 24' SX300 (two stroke). Man, once I reduced the engine braking, that thing was so smooth on the corners and manageable throttle! I did put a Renthal Fatbar 839 on both with Renthal grips and a Works Connection throttle tube.
Pat Foster is a great reviewer, i really appreciate his in-depth insight. Great work Pat.
Too bad no KX SR in the mix this year. It was the best.
I put the connectivity unit on my 24 ktm 450sxf. After reducing the engine breaking I noticed the chassis feels less harsh. Best $200 I’ve spent on my bike.

Did you get the cuo without the new front fender? I’m looking to get it for my 23 fc350 I only want the mapping / app not the GPS / fender

@E63s_Scott, yes I only got the cu. I didn’t want the fender and gps either. Also, the instructions aren’t very clear. Once you use make a different map, and install it. The map you make is active with the green light on map switch. White light is a softer version of your new map and more closely resembles the stock tune.

I find it easy to mod the airbox , everyone acts like you cant do it or it takes hours .
Best KTM in years!! I despised the previous frame. It's insane how much better the updated frame is.

@@bikernu perfect seasons ain’t cuz the bike… its the rider. By ur logic kawi better than Honda cuz James n Ricky had 3 perfect seasons? Ricky 2 (indoor 8-0 outdoor 24-0) and James again 24-0 and than Ricky did it again on a suki? Na perfect seasons mean nothing with the world of MX/SX/MXGP/EURO being dominated by championships going to KTM

@@byronjames-zr2kp So i think that you would agree that ktm has never had a perfect winning season and that only 3 companies can claim that fact and that no rider won a championship on a bad bike
I hate that Chase had been riding the ktm they used for the shootout. That break in for the frame and suspension being riding by him will make that bike immediately feel better than the other Austrians and skew opinions.
Good thing the 450 SR is not in this, the others are mostly just looks, the SR is actually closer to a real factory bike.

Would be nice to actually be shown the differences in each Austrian bike and what they are like when Identical? I understand this test...but when you have 3 brands from 1 company then the differences are important.... Basically if you make then identical they are the same...and what is the price differences between them? and who keeps their bikes Stock? Factory Editions get upgrades or personal changes in products a rider likes...no racing bike is identical... Seems to be a biased test ?? Everyone agrees on the top 3?? 🤔 🇨🇦🤓🤟

Because the kx450 is all new this year they did not make one. I believe it’ll be back next year though!

Who won the 250 out door ? 450 outdoor ? 250 supercross ? 450 supercross ? Only Honda . Only manufacturer to EVER do that . Can't be that bad
