Hell yes. I love Source Audio. They make top notch gear. The EQ2 is on my wishlist. I use their Ventris reverb and it is amazing.

That little mix in the beginning I think is one of your best mixes. Pretty cool little pedal.

I have the boss eq-200. Just in case anyone is wonder what the difference between the source audio and the boss eq is, as far as I know the boss eq200 does not have a desktop editor. Otherwise they have the same capabilities. I also chose the eq200 because I'm already into the high end boss ecosystem. I'm using the es8 the md500 the dd500 and the rv500. Trying to get the sy500 next. I got the eq200 is because I could run it both in front and behind my amp at the same time with different settings on each channel. Its freaking brilliant! Also the midi switching and preset saves. If you're not trying to choose between the two, this whole comment is probably useless to you. Honestly I feel like the differences are negligible. If you buy one you probably wouldn't miss the other. I believe both are solid choices. I know my boss eq has ruined any other type of eq for me. I'm aware I could use the source audio in the exact same way I use my eq200 but I never sit down to jam and wish I had the source audio. But if I had got the source audio I probably wouldn't ever wish I had the boss either.

EQ200 for me. Yes they are nearly similar, but Boss was built like a tank, you can slide directly, a bit cheaper, and yes... there's more to the big Boss.

Excellent pedal. That mix demo was filthy dude. Great work 🤘🏻

For bass you can program where you have one channel effected and the other clean and then re married at one output. For pedals without blends it makes them useable for bass.

You forgot to mention the built in noise gate and tuner functionality. You can use an expression pedal and turn it into a Wah pedal too.

That is a must for a 9 string. I have it hit the amp before any pedal board out.

great video! I have a jvm also... wondering how this eq pedal is in the fx loop and how well its hidden built in noise gate works to remove the hiss of the jvm. if you start messing with the noise gate in it... Please let me know how it does on the jvm. I have a ns2 for out front but looking for a seperate gate for the loop and might just break down and buy this eq more or less for the gate alone.

An EQ pedal to me is a must-have.

There’s sooo much more this pedal does that you didn’t get into. It’s pretty badass

It needs another switch for clicking between presets. The button is kinda pointless.

The only thing I have had problem with Source Audio is with the NEMESIS delay pedal and the programming buttons keep taking a shit on me. I can only now access stored delays with the cable to my computer. Otherwise its channel 1 always of what I have programmed there. Not sure if its a dust issue that gets down into the buttons or not. Also I am not too keen on that knob being so close to the foot switch. Playing live, thats an easy knock off the pedal and its ruined. But until SA can get the first issue with those program buttons fixed I am not going to waste another $300 + on a pedal of theirs every year or two replacing them. I've had tank pedals like BOSS last me nearly 20 years. it really sucks too, because the effect are some killer ones!

Most EQ pedals (especially cheaper ones) bring in a ton of noise to the signal. This one doesn’t seem to have that issue (Not sure if you’ve got a noise gate on).

So if I had say a Boss ES 5 midi/pedal controller..... I could program presets and control the EQ2 presets from the ES5 for something like that low fi eq setting on a particular scene/pedal chain etc...?

Honestly, I couldn't sell this thing fast enough. I thought I was going to use it in a 4cm setup but... It sounds like crap in the fx loop...like there is an LPF you can't turn off. It can work in front of your amp ok, but it's such a pita to edit on the fly that it isn't worth it IMHO. For the price, you might as well put the cash towards a floor modeler that can double up as a foot controller, give you a ton of fx, and as much eq as you can imagine, as well as being easily programmable and good for a fly rig or whatever. Love ya man, but Def not this pedal! 😅 I have yet to have sonic nirvana with any SA stuff, but I gotta say that their support has been amazing. Also, thank me for pulling their teet to update the HPF to go way higher than it did in earlier revisions. They didn't see the use for it, but a lot of modern metal stuff can high pass up to a crazy 800hz!

Only the para Eq is the best EQ on the market.
