Hey awesome video! I’m considering buying an evolve board but not sure if it’s waterproof or not?

How does it do in the wet? I'm stuck in an area that gets a lot of rain so do you think it'll handle the rain and wet?

I have this board. Rocked a c ouple boosted boards ( amazing board right out the box), but when I got this board I kinda feel like I'm probably not going to be rocking the boosted very often. The motors are sick! And good connectivity. EDIT: I have never, ever gotten 30 miles brah, 24 at the most.

I lived in SF for 3 years of Dental School. I was able to sell my car and I never had problems ever. Dont have to worry about parking, this became my main form of transporation entirely in city. I just used bart for outside city transport, it was great. Also all the nuts and bolts are standardized so repairs are easy cuz the screws are M2 grubs screws from any hardware store

How does it flex with the battery on the whole underside? I am wondering if there is a risk of the batt coming off

Nice review man. I've been riding electric skateboards for about four years now and I really love my carbon GT evolve. I've also tried a few other brands around also like E-glide, onewheel, boosted.Evolve seems to need more maintenance compared to other boards but definitely is one of the funnest to ride that looks better and goes faster then the others around. I personally never ride my electric skateboard in tall grass like that though because they get scratched up easily from sticks and rocks and have gotten things stuck in my belt drive. Anyways thanks for the video and happy trails.

What would be more suitable for use on uneven terrain, bamboo or carbon deck? Would the bamboo deck offer more suspension (on gravel roads, for example)? Or would it be too wobbly on uneven terrain?

Any body know how to get a replacement remote on my 4th one been waiting 6 weeks their always sold out.

Mine will be going along fine, then suddenly feels like the brakes kick on for a split second , sending me flying, , it has happened twice, second time I was wrapped in tons of pads and taking it slow sort of testing it out, and it happened in 15 minutes of riding, first time I was not so lucky ( i was wearing a helmet) I was going full throttle (at tires) and felt like brakes kicked on for a split second and sent me flying onto asphalt , I got insane road rash and wrist sprain , wasn't back to normal for about a month and a half, the only thing that didn't hit the road was my helmeted head. I've talked to several people online who seem to be having the same issue, Im baffled/scared to ride it again 😢 any thoughts or advice?? I have several other electric boards, and I have tons of riding experience (I even own 2 evolve bamboo gtx😂 and am now too afraid to even try the brand new one) im very baffled , I want to ride it again lol

I wish you'd do a test of the range please cos I got a carbon gt and with at wheels on it it only get 11. 8 ok there might be 12 miles but it's in economic and only got 10%in the red ,so I don't want to drain the battery's that much when others are say they are getting a heap more range , I only weight 84kgs How much do you weigh?

I have a boosted v2, and preordered the GTX. Eager to see if the weight and size are a detriment. Speed and range aren't the only things that make a board "better". Plus, I've heard bad things about the Evolve remote. I'm optimistic though.

Nice size high board and climb with battery time, would like to see it be able to nutriel mode with tilt four wheel line steering and the option to mount a scooter style front flexy hand stick that could convert to a secure lastic lock and remote holder. The down side to power boards, they are always way to long/huge, this one some what mid appoved

I wasn't convinced that this was better than the boosted board until I saw this!

Does this model got some kind of water resistance?

I use my boosted board daily to commute to work and i travel allot with it. Is the battery easy to take off and will the battery fit in my backback to get on a plane?

You can't take this board on a plane apparently, the battery is way too big. Stick to the Boosted if you plan to bring it on planes.

I want to see/know more about the breaking while going downhill.

I am a snow boarder, and want to add a summer board sport. I am torn between this and the one wheel. My main interest is in wanting to carve in the summer, working on body position, not insane speed or tricks. I liked the one wheel concept, but am concerned about the videos and reports of the one wheel nosedive issues. Going on dir trails is really interesting. Have you tried the one wheel? Any words of wisdom?

Cant effectively comment on the business model with Evolve except to state that they have replied to me within days and satisfied all requests (replacement fixings etc) with no dramas. Short supply may be better handled by giving potential buyers a snapshot of current supply status which is not rocket science given that we have Mfg projections, spreadsheets and cyberspace access within one working day. All that aside, I'm riding the single motor Bamboo and have a buyer for it so I can get into this Twin Power model down the track. (sounds like a Shimano Fishing Reel Ad) anyhow, without trying one out, this looks to be where I am headed. Saving the money and will have to wait. Oh Yeh! these are not a cheap purchase as I know too well, however as an older dude I tend to research the heck out of potential buys and buy exactly what I consider I want regardless of cost within usual family constraints. If I have stuff that isn't up to it or under used, I usually sell them on or hand them to grandkids.

Hey all, I am very close to pulling the trigger on buying an Evolve Board. I have watched about 10 youtube vids now and am pretty impressed with what the boards have to offer. I am very torn between the Bamboo GTX and the Carbon GT. With my 1st board, I found myself loving to commute on my board and would foresee myself riding with the AT setup. I am looking for something with a little more control over having more flex. I am a 205 pound man. Who recommends one board over the other? Thank you for your advice!

I haven't ridden the carbon fiber board but, I have ridden boards with flex (bamboo) and without (other types of wood) I will say with a bamboo deck in general, you'll get a softer, more comfortable, more responsive ride. It's just a lot more fun in my opinion on a board that rides smoothly and can absorb a lot of the bumps/rocks in the deck. And with the AT wheels + bamboo deck, that's what you're gonna get. Either way this thing is awesome. I just took it off-roading in Austin and it performed even better than I thought it would. Good luck with choosing!

Good thing you waited, the GTX looks better than the Bamboo GT, it has more flex, more range and comes with 97mm wheels standard. I'm pretty happy I waited and got the GTX, so much fun.

Did you have any issues with the finish on the gold motors?

Regenerative brake?

Have zero experience on a skateboard, how steep is the learning curve for me if I get this? I consider myself pretty athletic and with good hand eye coordination but have had no interest in skateboards until these electric models came out.

no unfortunately because lithium ion batteries explode at high altitudes. You can ship your board to wherever youre going tho. Just takes way longer

Ever seen a Baja board, Ecomobl M24, or Lacroix board ? These are high end boards arguably the best in the world. Evolve GTR/GTX is more of a premium budget board along with Vestar Black Hawk, Ownboard AT etc
