Harmonic Tremolo separates your signal into separate bass and treble and alternately pulses the volume of each, so, as the volume of the treble is fading out, the volume of the bass is fading in, and as the bass fades out , the treble fades in, etc.. I once saw a demo of a prototype guitar that had a mechanism that alternately faded the volume of the neck and bridge pickups in and out, and it produced the same effect.

Lovely pedal. Has more definition than the Flint but I can't live without the reverb on it which is superb. If you've already got reverb this would be the one to go for with the harmonic option sounding excellent.

Had a ‘61 Tremolux. First year they did the head and cabinet. 1 x 10” speaker in a closed back cabinet with a tone ring. Speaker had blown before I had it, and had been replaced with a 12”. 18 watts of magic. Blonde Tolex Oxblood grill...😓 very special sounding amp. It had tremolo to die for. Used it to finance a gigging bass, and bass amp rig. Really miss that amp! Every time I hear these pedals makes me think of it.

Incredible playing! I have owned this pedal for a year. I got it primarily to get some Supro tones due to the preamp portion of the pedal. Then I discovered how I love the tremolo tones. For some fun I’ll run the Supro with delay and a univibe. This pedal is by far one of my fave and most used pedals.

Dr/\gonfly just be advised that this pedal changes your tone noticeably when turned off/on. It’s not a subtle change. See Pete Thorn’s demo on this pedal (he showcases this change in the first bit of the video). It’s like an overdrive kicking in with mild gain boost. FYI

Rich Osburn Good point but that’s only if the gain knob is turned up at all - if you set the gain at zero like I had in this video (as opposed to 4 as in Pete’s) it’s pretty ‘transparent’ in terms of volume jumps etc. It’s only when the gain’s increased that you’ll hear a noticeable change to your level 🙂

Lovely melody and phrasing, Chris! 🤗It sounds both familiar and original, an excellent little comp and jam. I love harmonic tremolo - I just picked up an Earthquaker Devices 'Nite Wire', not quite as sweet --sounding as the Supro, but more versatile for finding your own special sound with it. Who doesn't love tinkering with a new pedal and finding inspiration!🤩

In the beginning, I thought there was only one type of tremolo (optical). Liked it but I found it not versatile enough to gain a place in my very small pedalboard. Then, I found out about the brown amp tremolo after listening to Chris Stapleton. That's it! I like that! Fast forward to only a few hours ago I realised that Fender used TWO different tremolo circuits in those brown amps, bias trem in the smaller amps and harmonic in the larger, more expensive amps! What a revelation! Love all three but I must admit that if I had to put them in order of preference it would be: bias (as always on type of thing), harmonic (for those Hendrixy moments) and optical (Monster era REM anyone?). In other words, swampy, phasey and choppy. Now the 3 modes in the Flint pedal make perfect sense. I have ordered Mr Black's Mini Tremolo as it offers both bias tremolo as well as harmonic in a neat little package. Reminds me of an old DOD Vibrathang that I used and played a few decades ago. I'm starting to understand the whole tremolo thing much better now. Cheers!

Hi Chris, I don't know how I missed this video, but what an amazing sound. Tremolo is one of my favourite effects ever, and about two years ago I bought a Catalinbread Pareidolia Harmonic Mesmerizer (discontinued), basically a harmonic tremolo pedal, along with their DLS 3 and a Mr Black Gold Eterna pedal. Although these two pedals are amazing in their own right, the Pareidolia has a sound quite similar to your Supro, but this pedal of mine has some strange filtering sounds that I can't put my finger on, ergo Pareidolia. Thank you for all your amazing content, and such a professional approach to all that you do...
