It does have a screw, so you can always tighten it if it goes floppy, with age that can happen.

It will get in the way, that's for sure, but the magnet does hold it with the battery, I just tested that.

I have a few compact tripods, I mainly use my Manfrotto, but lately I'm testing the Peak Design and Freewell. The Ulanzi is also ok. The best built is the Manfrotto and PD though. It depends if you want to buy once and properly or change tripods once a year.

Get a backpack strap for the Pocket 3 - you can also strap it onto your built if you really wanted to but I still think the backpack is easier and recording at chest-level is better than going down to your crotch! LOL

This is nice until you add the battery extension for extra juice, then you can’t place it on flat surfaces. I too enjoy using magnets. I hope SnapMount comes out with something for the Pocket 3.

I prefer the cases that have a shoe mount, which is worth way more than a magnet stand to me. This is still kinda cool, but the shoe mount is essential.

No, that won’t work.

I bought this. I quite like it. However, there is one pretty big issue... with this on is it nearly impossible to use the directional joystick other than pressing it like a button. Thought someone should know.

I really like it too. Really? Have you centered the joystick in the hole? I have functionality over mine, of course not as much as with the case off, but I can use the joystick to move the gimbal around no problem at all.

@@PhillipSkraba hmm.... I gave it another shot and seemed to work better with the second application. I think you were right about the alignment. I just have to use a much lighter touch when using the joystick as well.

I believe these Sunnylife expansion adapters have a design flaw. After closing and locking, it will open easily if you accidentally lift or hit the opposite side (cold shoe side). The catch mechanism is not designed to hold each other together. Both sides (cut surfaces) should be J-shaped rather than L-shaped. So be aware of that when using it.

It’s a great accesory for the Osmo Pocket 3, the only thing I have a problem with it is that it is exclusively for use with the Osmo Pocket 3. If that’s the only camera you have, great. But what if you have more than just that? It’s the reason why I preferred to buy a 1/4 screw magnetic mount. A little bit more bulky, but you can use it with other cameras…. 🤷🏽‍♂

Yes, this is made specifically for the Pocket 3. I know what you mean though, I usually travel with a bag full of gear and I wish it was smaller. This accessory is excellent though if you do own a Pocket 3 and mainly use that.

It’s actually not that bad, does a real good job at improving usability of the Pocket 3 whilst running and gunning. The magnet is nice and strong too.

BE AWARE of "phone snatchers" on electric bikes, especially when you're using your DJI Pocket 3 in public without a hand strap.

The OP3 needs body mounts, not unlike for the Action cameras. When I am out and about I don't want to hold a 'stick'.
