Wow. In the 1960's, terazzo tile was what you bought when you couldn't afford ceramic or wood floors. How times have changed!

I love Terrazo myself I'm so excited to be the first one here. What a great idea, and it turned out amazing! Remember also if you don't have wax paper always save the insides of your empty cereal boxes. It's parchment paper. it can be baked with you can pack a sandwich in it you can use it over and over again and it's free

Your always coming up with fresh & new ideas kudos to you! Our neighbor in the late 60’s did this method to their kitchen counters the difference is the entire surface was covered with the paint chips. Her counter was the same green colour as yours with white & gold speckles and I’m recalling she also did the floors too. I don’t know how she was able to cook with unavailable counters. My parents also had an addition to our home & the den had a large fireplace with a wall to wall terrazzo banco for seating in front of the fire place. It’s never gone out of style. I love how you are sprinkling the paint chips sparingly with most of the background showing.

I bought a terrazzo peel and stick wallpaper from target about a year ago and did my kitchen countertops with it! I love the look. I’ll have to try this technique on my TV tray

Elysia, you simply astound me. You dive headfirst into each new project and bring us along for the ride.We get to learn with you. It's like having an old friend over for tea and then clearing the table and poking through a box of goodies for the next job. Of your many MANY projects, I have "stolen" several of them. I've made dozens of macrame plant hangers and wall hangings, thanks to you. I've ordered your brushes to paint my bathroom and two dressers. I repaired and painted several decrepit night stands and sidetables. I've cannibalized parts from beyond-repair chairs to gussy up another piece of furniture. Like you, I save all the hardware from past projects, and many times I've found just the right item from that stash. Now, I can't wait to try making terrazzo! I'm astonished at how simple it is to make, and thank you sincerely for presenting us with yet another fun DIY job.
