Pro Tour started yesterday. And I was interested in a couple of decks. One of them is Dimir Control. I haven't made my Dimir Control yet, so I really wanted to test this deck from PT. I found three version of Dimir. I liked the version with Jace. I made only one changes. I removed 1 Deduce and added 1 Celestus. I played it 1.5 hours. The record was 9-7(was screw three times). I didn't like two moments. The first one, in my opinion, Cut Down is a dead card in bo1 atm. It's difficult to play agains Boros/Monored. The second one was manabase. I was playing and testing many different versions of mana base, I am talking about Field of Ruin, Mirrex and Sunken Citadel, and the most comfortable version is 4 Field of Ruin, 1 Mirrex and 1 SC. Unfortunately, I didn't like this manabase for bo1. Yeah, it's playable, but, you know, sometimes it really lets you down(47:14 could't play TSA). I am not saying that my Dimir versions are the best or the most perfect. I'm just talking about the problems I've faced and the discomfort of playing it in bo1. Of course, as always, it doesn't make sense to compare bo1 and bo3. It was just a test and my humble opinion. 48:15 All three original versions. Say, what're your thoughts on a Dimir control/mill deck? I've got a pretty mid list (not enough wildcards sadly) using Deepmuck Desperado and a bunch of things that either target, mill or do both such as Gnawing Vermin, Cruel Somnophage, Desperate Bloodseeker and ofc Jace. Then just removal hand/graveyard hate and counters. It can actually perform pretty well if you get a decent draw, to the point I've actually milled out a Monored aggro deck with it. Turns out Deepmuck making everything you do mill your opponent for 3 can kinda carry.

I almost lost to that card in a premier draft today lol, 40 card deck goes quick. He milled all my cards but I had the win with the attack.

March is precious against this agro meta. The Life gain/removal for me is must. Maybe replace cut down for march, since you have removals for attacking lands. I dont like cutdown. For me it is a overated card

You will be so sad when the Celestus eventually gets rotated 😂
