Mine locked up after a few days. Locked up as in I can hang a sawsall from the handle and they don't open. I was asked by Vampire Tools to contact them. Well, it's been 3 emails and a good 2 weeks and no response from them.

@@vampiretools469 You know what, I liked these so much before they locked up that I took a chance and bought them again. They second ones were perfect! They fall open with gravity and I love that they open super wide like they do. It makes it easy to sharpen them if they ever would need it

You crimped the wire wrong. The seam goes on the concave. the crimper side forces the gap closed from behind. The other way actually widens the gap and makes a much weaker bond.
