Crispy deep fried prawns, tossed in a delicious sweet and sour sauce. Here's how you can make the most delicious sweet & sour prawn balls at home!
Ingredients:
400g king prawns
Salt and white pepper to taste
110g plain flour
20g cornflour
150-200ml very cold beer or soda water
6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
4 tablespoons white rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
4 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon light soy sauce

    Jeremy, I love this channel, about the prawn batter, you didn't mention waiting 5 or 10 minutes to let the mix set up.. it really affects the consistency, or also using a stick blender to ensure a good emulsion

    I really dislike tomato ketchup. Could I substitute diluted tomato puree, zizzed up with one or more Chinese condiments plus, perhaps, minced garlic? I have a huge range of condiments but would be interested to hear what you would opt for. Thanks 😊

    why do they call stuff...CRISPY...Then continue to put liquid on it to make it soggy...should be ...sweat n sour soggy prawns!crispy bacon.is CRISPY.Crisps are CRISPY..food soaked in liquid...ISNT CRISPY ..
