I'm amazed by how many players don't do any throwdowns before they go into bat. Makes such a difference in getting loosened up and confident.

you should start to take a four step run up and start with taking the first step with you right foot,then left,then jump and land on your back foot/right foot and then lastly land on your front foot/left foot. I used to have this same problem and I use this to help me not to double jump when bowling. Do this for some time if if you're comfortable,you move on to six steps,then 8 and so on,until you reach your normal run up. Just be consistent and you'll master it in no time.💪🏻

I had same problem few seasons ago. that season i took 4 wickets. The following season in which i fixed it i took 16 wickets and won multiple bowling awards. Fixing this mistake should be your priority

How big is the batter?

As an opener, I started out good in my season scoring 102 runs in the first 4 innings, but last 5 innings i have been troubled with only getting 4 runs in total still opening You any tips?

I struggle with what to think during match. Should I actively think boundaries, or shots I need to play for singles or boundaries based on lengths, or gaps, or just keep a blank mind and play on the merit

Always play the ball on merit, if it’s there to be hit in your strong scoring area then commit to it, but don’t try to leather every ball or you’ll get out, especially if the ball is in an area your not comfortable at playing with. If all else fails then keep the strike rotating so you don’t get stuck and build pressure on yourself to score boundaries when a few dot balls have gone past.

It depends, if it’s a shot you play naturally well then you’re in a better place to play it mentally, but if not you’d be better to play straight and hard along the ground, why give the bowler, or any fielder behind him, a chance to catch you out? Save the ultra aggressive shots for when you’re well set or the innings is in its final 8 overs or so, the bowlers will be tired and looser deliveries will be more often. Most important thing is keeping the scorecard ticking over constantly, even with 1s or 2s, rather than getting out after 5 balls having scored like 14.

Bro you should do meditation before going to batting and Just learn to watch the ball till end, until it goes to the boundary👍😄 it used to happen with me also

Do a session with the bowling machine set at 80mph. Best way to get your eyes picking up the ball properly and to create some confidence.

Check out our vids on facing extremely fast bowling. they should help a lot. You can also use tennis balls at high speed to get use to the feeling of a ball coming fast and get your reaction speed up to par, then slowly progress to hard ball
