Kelly getting hit with a piece of shell and Gabe commenting on messy crab eating brought back one of my fondest Christmas memories of my life. My mom had just been declared cancer free and didn't know what to do for Christmas dinner and I said I would take care of it all. Long story short it did include crab legs and the first couple pieces flying were followed with an excuse me or I'm sorry. After that it was laughter and crab carnage. That is the short version. Keep up the great videos.

Mullet the boston is so good to see. Reminds me of my boston Amos, I had him for 14 yrs. He past away 18 months ago. I'm actually picking up my new boston puppy Saturday. Beautiful dog. Oh yeah Kelly you did a great job pulling traps.

Man I wish I had me a batch of stone crab right now. Mullet the Boston Terrier stole the show there at the very end.

I just saw hope, dying in that pups eyes as his "pack" ate all the crab.

The end did it , the way that dog was looking at the camera..

You put your bowl of butter on top of your steaming Clause that way it melts as they cook and they finish at the same time you don't have to worry about it

I love seeing that Boston Terrier...My brother and I had one when I was in 3rd grade named Skipper . We tried to get my parents to get another one so we could name him Gilligan...we thought it would be hilarious to have our mom calling out the back door " Skipper ! Gilligan ! " Oh...what did we know...we were just kids. 😄

"They found it in Wyoming two million years ago..." Wow, I would like to meet those old guys.

I just discovered your wonderful videos! I had a precious Boston terrier who passed away from Cushings Disease. I miss him dearly. Please put a doggie life vest on your beautiful dog when your on the water. ❤️🐕😊

Love how you don’t take both claws while on camera to avoid negative comments. Pro-tip: don’t take the small claw while recording as that indicates that you’re taking both.

I never knew Stone crabs were in St. A. Those are my old stomping grounds!!!!!! Now I'm in Palm Bay however I? got family in St. A and I will y them some stone crab traps for us to use! I have to somewhat agree with your assessment on Dungeness AMAZING crab by far very tasty, But if i had to choose between kign crab and snow crab SNOW Crab hands down far sweeter . But If i had to Rank my top three Crustations 1 Lobster 2 Dungeness 3 SnowCrab.... But because of the Bidens America right now indulging in these sweet tasty treats is damn near impossible due to $$$$$$ 1 pound of king 69.99$ snowcrab 49.99$ Dungeness 29.99 lobster 17.99$ DAMN BIDEN.......

King crab can be caught in Seattle? I knew that it was caught in the cold but not though only up in Alaska and Canada. Interesting as ive only caught blue crabs and rock crabs here in Florida

Finally got my first stone crab claws of the season from my fishmonger. They were on the boat just hours before I got them. So good. Ate them with a mustard sauce.

Totally agree that stone crab is the best seafood. The problem is they are hard to find outside of Florida and expensive restaurants in the North East. Lobster is second but stone crab is the undisputabe #1.

Great video! I always use tongs when going for blue crabs. Those are expensive up here, $28/lb. with the shell on.

I love stone crab. We catch em in Port of the Islands FL. I have had quite a few cuts from the shell too. So worth it.

Grew up on AMI & LBK over on the gulf. Long history taking advantage of the bounty provided by the Gulf, it's bays, estuaries, etc ... Stone Crab is in a universe of its own. Flat out decadent. Since I no longer live near in FL, my favorite day of the year is the day stone crabs arrive in the local seafood market.

Some good eating right there I'm not fortunate enough to be able to catch my own but I get them from the grocery store all the time

That reminds me of growing up, I had the boat and one friend would put gas in my truck and one would chip in for the boat and I'd buy bait, but we'd get to the water for the weekend and catch plenty!

I’ve wanted to try them. A restaurant in Chattanooga had some recently but they wanted 60 bucks for a meal ( I think it was 4 claws). I passed and hope to try them sometime when I’m at the coast.
