I mean DDV did some *very* non cozy things this year (yall notice how they decreased the night thorn spawns to add more time to the star path??) so I believe they burned a lot of goodwill

Dave the diver surprised me and I’m really liking it. I agree that it needs difficulty settings

My takeaway from this is that Palia, DDV and Faefarm are all fantastic games to play!

Roots of Pacha really surprised me with the amount of detail, the great game mechanics and a good story! I haven't liked a farming sim as much as this since Stardew Valley! I played Fae Farm, DDV and Palia but Roots of Pacha is my personal top pick. It's all personal preference.

if u do another with best cozy games of all time on the switch u have to put fae farm up against wylde flowers since they both have magic aspects

I think I'd pick wylde flowers because I have no regrets about buying that game on release. I can't say the same about fae farm especially since the gametrial and sale came not long after release. I still play wylde flowers after the story but haven't even bothered to check out the dlc fir fae farm yet.

So sad My Time at Sandrock doesn’t run well on switch it truly is one of the coziest games and so much fun and the story is amazing I haven’t played Palia yet waiting for it to be more complete but fae farm was fun but I still need to finish I just didn’t get sucked in

Sandrock isn’t perfect but I still love it to death. I’ve played it on Switch and PC because I prefer handheld play and then eventually wanted to know what I was missing with the best case scenario, and I had so much fun both times.

Sandrock became my favorite game of the year. I played on steam deck and it was great. Wish there were more games similar to it.

Havent played much Palia yet but still feel like Palia vs DDV is a very hard choise. Im loving Palia so far but i dunno, its a bit overwhelming and my storange is already full because i like collecting stuff. So many characters in both games but of course in Disney they are people i already know if that makes sense

When it was faefarm vs Dave I 100% would’ve picked Dave!

Instead of leaving out acnh and stardew pit them against eachother. They both have extreme replay value.

I’ve tried both fae farm and dave the diver. I had huge expectations for Fae farm and it did disappoint me a bit once I started playing whilst with dave the diver I loved everything about it plus the gameplay is reaally good there is a lot to do.

Length dictates how much I am willing to pay. Length does not equate to quality, but the price should very clearly reflect such. I completed mail time in one evening, making the low price of $20 still seem steep. I can go for a night at the movie for cheaper.

I really liked My Time at Sandrock. I think I’ve played it the most. BUT I’ve been playing it on Xbox Series X. It has everything I want in a cozy game. I do like combat even if it’s just basic.

Loved watching this! Where is the video for the best of all time? I feel like sandrock would have done so much better if it played on switch like it does on steam deck or pc. It easily became my one of my absolute favorite games, especially once the story really gets going.

I'd go Dave over Fae, mostly because I haven't found a farming game I really enjoy yet. However, I haven't even demo'd either yet (though I have the Dave demo dl'd to my Switch). I also would have gone for Storyteller over Potion Craft, which was the first official stall over a tie.

I just played the demo for Dave the Diver, it was so much fun! That's a game I would've never tried just because of how it looks lol. Thank you for your videos. I also just got Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It'll arrive in 2 days. I've never played games like that that, so I'll see how I like it.

I would have picked Dave the Diver. (So sad I was asleep! I wanted to be awake and seriously considered being awake for it!) I ADORE A Highland Song. Oh and Venba, too.

I would’ve picked faefarm, I liked Dave the diver but didn’t want to play more after trying the demo (and I wouldn’t have bought it anyway I think), while I played a lot of fae farm (60+ hours in the first month or so)

@@moxiejju7014I’m just not super into rougelites, and the fishing aspect and controls were clunky, I did love the restaurant bit (and the art style and dialogue)! I would say defo try the demo as it’s just the beginning of the game, and gives a very good idea of the rest of it, I do feel I could’ve judged it too quickly.

i will say dave the diver just keeps getting better and better. the demo is good at showing you the basic mechanics but it changes so much very quickly. you get used to the controls (or at least i did). i’ve put like 60+ hours into dave the diver lmao

I think pretty princess and paleo pines should have been against eachother and Dave the diver against roots of pacha or something else.

Now that ddlv has dreamsnaps I would choose it over fae farm even though it literally puts me to sleep.

Ddlv over palia because palia's controls are hard for me and I often play offline which ddlv allows but palia does not. I also vote for faefarm over palia.

No man's sky did come to switch this year.

I've played suika and did not get hooked. It's OK and cheap but I'm not a huge puzzle game fan with a few exceptions like link a pix.
