These settings have improved me greatly, thank you so much for uploading this video. I used to play overwatch back when I was in middle school and I wasn’t really used to shooters, now in high school I heard from old friends that over watch 2 was free to play. I haven’t played over watch in a long time, and was struggling a lot in matches with me and my friends. After watching this video I noticed that my aim has improved, once again thank you.

so glad you actually explain what everything does instead of blindly giving the settings, actually helped me understand way more to make the controls best for me

Just a heads up aim smoothing is a setting specifically supposed to be used with Dual zone and it messes with diagonal movement. Aim ease in is for Linear ramp. Hope it helps.

This comment alone fixes SOOO many issues with overwatch’s aiming. For anyone who doesn’t understand, swap your aim tech to linear, turn aim smoothing all the way down and play with aim ease in. It makes it feel like other shooters rather than a slow swampy mess

Linear means your aim correlates directly to the position of your joystick. Like a steady increase versus and slow then super fast

Not gonna lie these settings were the ones I needed to tweak and couldn’t figure out which ones did what so I really appreciate it. Big help.

This video really helped me understand how sensitivity mechanics work after 20 years of gaming btw aha. You helped me so I’ll help everyone else with a tip. It’s basically the one other thing that helped with my sens and that is also a delayed RS stick with an elite 2 controller, it’s basically like extra sim smoothing because the low sens is wider than the high sense part built into the controller. I’d recommend tuning the bar to your liking choosing how much delay you want, it’s not instant delay so it’s not bad delay, trust me on this. It’s worth.

Literally feels like im aiming like COD or something very good job 🤜 I followed everything you said however These are my settings incase anyone is wondering my only differences from this video is I use 1. Linear ramp 2. Horizontal sens 40% & Vertical sens 8% (Linear ramp can be sensitive) 3. Aim Smoothing 45% Everything else I followed in this video and it helped me SO much im literally impressed Nice job man!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Just switched from Xbox to ps5 so I needed to update my settings. This definitely helped, thanks I’ll leave a like 👍🏻.

Something my brother taught me with soldier was that when using his ult you can skip the animation for placing down his heals if you press both at the same time.

Been using this set up for a while and got to say it’s been really good.

A lot of the characters got movement speed buffs especially dps chars that got a 20-25% ms buff so that might be the reason why ur having trouble hitting ur shots

This helped alot ngl I think my main issues were the aim smoothness and the cross hair First game with these settings I had 34 kills 3 deaths and just under 12k damage Call it beginners luck for right now 😂

There's so many things for the aim assist, my aim felt weird so I just turn down most to 50-30 it feels less stiff. Linear makes Orisa more free to move

I'm top 20 dps right now on PS5. Had the same settings, but legacy mode ON and ease in 0, changed to off and ease in 3. Flicks right now doable and easy, also it's easier to lead, I would say that my aim was great, but as for now it's even sharper and even more consistent, thanks!

I have a question. So I’ve played a lot of overwatch 1 and I had my Horizontal sensitivity 45% Vertical sensitivity 45% aim assist strength at 50% Aim assist window size at 50% Aim assist ease in 50% aim smoothing 100% Aim ease in 50% It’s a lot of 50s I know but since this games release it changed all my settings so now I default to these settings on all heros. What I want is for me to be able to smoothly hit my targets consistently because with my aim assist being that low I used to be able to hit my shots or am I just an ego? When I change the setting slightly it’s all super fast moving and uncontrollable and in the other end it’s too slow and clunky. Any advice?

I’m a top 500 and I would change ur AA to 100 and boost ur sens by 20-30%. It should smooth things out

They need to add a dead zone option for controllers already
