The developer made all the star Lord songs himself too just him and a guitar. And most of them are really good rock songs too I wish we could play the Walkman songs all the way through not just when I do special moves but it is much better than I thought.. even better than the avengers so many hidden depths and ur choices and things u say can change the whole game not just individual levels and power ups. It really is amazing played it twice now once on game plus mode

There are actually a variety of options you can choose to get the right answers but with different voice overs. For example, Cosmo can be persuaded in other ways.

Plus Nolips can be missed as I walked right passed the bar the first time through. This game is so awesome! Also just for funzies I started to pick up last items I found out that if you go right upstairs and you get a little different dialogue with the mom

I just finished the game, kinda proud of myself that I made 90% of the right calls. Only thing I didn’t do, was I kept the space llama, settled the money barter with lady hellbender to only get 9,000 units, and I didn’t run into lipless.

I made pretty much all the right decisions except selling groot. Rocket annoyed me so I tried selling him lol.

I can confirm that when distracting Rakar, there are other successful paths. Support Gamora Ask About Him ((He tells you of his son who died, and then asks about Rocket. Drax makes a brutal comment at this.)) The final one you can call him out on the con of religion, still successful

That’s how I did it too. I played through that part of the chapter multiple times for shits and giggles to find out the right responses and that’s the only one I was successful. I failed every other time. Never tried the combination shown in this vid.

I’m currently hooked on this game. However there are some sudden frame drops and performance issues. Still no patch from Square Enix. Thanks for taking time and creating this video. Really helped me. Thanks.

@@V4NG4R Yeah it looks more optimised on consoles. I’m playing on pc. Even though I’m playing with 3090 and 980 pro ssd. It was really annoying. However, they released a patch 2 days ago and game running better now. Hope there’s part 2.

I blew this game off when it was about to launch and for months after launch, because of the disaster that Avengers was. Then it released on Game Pass a few days ago, so I figured why not try it. Wow... Has to be one of the best games I've played in a looong time now. The devs absolutely nailed it with the story, facial expressions, comedic writing, banter and bickering, and atmosphere with the music and environments. Feel like an idiot for writing it off and not giving it a chance at first. I wish I could experience that playthrough for the first time again. It was really refreshing to have a AAA game go back to the basics with a super linear progression that just nailed everything so well. Felt like it was made by people who just love the story and wanted to make an amazing game about it, rather than focus on monetizing it any way they can with micro-transactions, the way a lot of games nowadays have gone. Definitely up there with my top games in that respect. I really hope to see DLC for this one or a full fledged GOTG 2 in the future from this studio, and hope they don't lose that vision that made this one so great.

Another idea would be for there to be multi player, or at least the choice of who you play as, as while I meshed well with quills elemental based hit and runs, my sister seems to be struggling a bit, mostly because it's the first shooter she's ever willing played, which massive achievement by itself, but I could see her doing better as say gamora ir groot. And hell, the ai are so good that they can keep the ai as well, it'd just take assigning more attacks (ei make a ranged attack pattern for groot but an up close one for rocket), give starlord more to interact with, like say burning ropes, or hover outside combat to reach something's groot can't get you to, add a vote system, and assign the moves to buttons, which while complicated has been done before, meaning it shouldn't be impossible given enough development time and money, two things they should get regardless of where they take this wonderful story and gameplay going foward.

For reference you still get chased by a drone if rocket ends up hacking gibben. if rocket successfully hacks the drone he names it gibben and dubs it the new guardian of the Galaxy right before it's shot and dies

"GUBBINS!!! NOOO!!!!" You can practically hear Rocket's voice crack when he gets blown up. Amazing.

You can fail the Cosmo one. If you free him, he wipes out a group of enemies later and you meet him later with his puppies. If not, he complicates matters later and you take his puppy on board (I'm not sure if he dies, I just know he won't appear again)

Here’s a tip if you play the cup game only once and pick the middle ( my experience) you get 1000 units, but if you continue to play you lose 5000 units, hope this helps from one gamer to another

Ugh that Nikki loop was so annoying!!! I mean I thought it was emotional and powerful the first time, but being in that loop multiple times drove me crazy. I believe it was the second one, but I chose blame rocket as a joke (lol) and I was able to get out of the loop surprisingly

Finally caught up to playing this game for the first time, and I'm surprised how many of the "right" calls I made in this game! I say "right" just because technically there is no "right" or "wrong" way to go about things necessarily, just moments of decision that can make things a little easier or harder for you. My only regret was not stopping at the bar for that special interaction with "Lipless", because then I missed out on the Collector's museum! Well that, and maybe some of the costumes I missed along the way because I played totally blind. Still, this is great to know for a second playthrough!

I selected completely different option in the part where I was supposed to distract the Grand Unifier. I picked options that I thought it would make me fail. Like supporting Gamora in her weird improvised speech that lead nowhere. On second playthrough, I also chose different choices then suggested, yet I didn't fail either. I thought it was just flavor of the scene and that I can't fail, until I saw this video.

I failed cosmo, Peter pulls out a ball which I can’t remember where he got it from and throws it, in which cosmo chases it and you get away Then when your about to escape knowhere, cosmo comes back and tries to stop you from ending the promise and traps you in a mental maze, then you need to follow the barking of one of his puppies and get out of there

Regarding the “Share intel” option it’s not quite right. I’ve chosen “doubt conclusions” and still plant a seed of hesitation, so nova corps helped me later on. So it’s not the 1st choice that makes it 100% happen.

For the Grand Master Raker part there are actually 2 ways to hack the drone which is support Gamora, ask about him, and then fake heart attack that’s the one I got and successfully achieved

Holy Crap I got the Nikki 3 choices right on the first try, I had no idea it could be a pain in the ass, the only thing I wish I did differently though was to Stick up for Nikki because some of the puzzles are annoying. I'm glad I got the final boss choices right too, my secret was to answer how I think Star-Lord would haha. Thanks for the video btw.

@@jlu965 Really? Haha she ran too fast that i didn't even think it'd be possible to go after her, but that's a relief. He had only one arm when I fought him but he was quite challenging anyway (I died three times during his blackout attacks so Groot couldn't revive me), mostly because I customized the difficulty to make it even harder than "hard", so I can't imagine how intense it would have been with two arms, geez.

You do not need to get or buy a ticket for the emporium to be allowed to purchase the doll. The ticket just allows you to get into see the collection. I chose different options when dealing with Raker and I failed to stall him by "asking about them". A second playthrough I asked about her and that 1 kept it going. I also didn't fake a heart attack. I think there might just be 1 option each that doesn't distract him. I chose the first 2 options you said but I didn't choose to trust Nikki and still succeeded.

The other option beside trust nikki literally made her go purple eyes and caused me to start from the last checkpoint haha so weird

I convinced everyone to show up in the final battle, i got the passkey, i got the 12k from lady peacefully, i talked down lipless (couldnt find the emporium), i did get scammed twice, i distracted raker, i trusted gamora, i didnt pay the fine, and my playthrough was great. It was an excellent game and im surprised i beat it without help

Imo I would always hide the creature. Your fine is only 7k and if you have sell groot you get 12k. In chapter 6, you get more collectibles to complete the trophy since you have more money. Again just my opinion

I think I made all the best decisions on my first playthrough. I only ran into trouble with kids stealing my money in Knowhere, and I bought the useless tool from a shop owner, but I still had enough to pay my fine and buy Gamora a doll from the museum since I had a free entry ticket.

You always keep the llama though. Everyone forgets this? That's why the best option is to "hide the tech." If you hide the tech, Rocket upgrades the Milano's weapons and your fine is 8000 instead of 7000 and Nova let's you keep the llama ANYWAY. Hide the tech. You keep the llama AND get upgraded weapons. It's obviously the best option lol 😆

Hey there seems to be a mistake! When talking with raker I chose "something about him" and it also worked so the other choice you spoke about is not the only correct option!

There are multiple options there yup

There are no specific dialogues that assures the right choice, it may loop around until it branches out to the final verdict. Like in Cosmo, I did not choose to remind Cosmo of the puppies but Cosmo still broke free from the promise. Cosmo just realized that the "humans" in his promise do not have any smell, real humans have smell, that's made Cosmo realize that the Promise is fake, the bestest of best boys out there. But in the Nikki dialogues, I can agree that those dialogues are the correct ones because I replayed that scene three times, and those certain dialogues were the only ones that got me through it. Must be why the game lets you replay that scene over and over again until you get the specific choices intended for that scene.

Indeed you can play all the game with whatever choices you want (except Nikki at the end like you said already)

This game is really great it has been way more popular but I think anyone thought it would be. And they get Redemption after the Avengers game like it or not it did have a mixed reaction and did underperform whereas this game everyone seems to like.

Also if you hide the lama thing it chews a whole in Star lords room allowing you to escape at chapter 12 I believe

Will I get units if I go back to the chapter when we get introduced to lady hellbender because I’m collecting the collectibles at the moment and when I was in Knowhere, I used a lot of my units so can I get my units back when I go back to the lady hellbender chapter?

If you choose the llama when drax is in the promise it helps cuz it makes a hole I don’t know what happens if you choose tech at that part so if you do tell me what happens

On my game the last chapter was 7 is that right is there something else i need to do cause I’m so confused with the ending and it makes it so short and I replayed 7 but still I was picking on refusing the promise but it kept repeating it so i had to pick to agree with the promise

I'm a year late but my Gamora in the post-credits only had 1 paragraph (the one with an image of what the Guardians are up to). How do I get more? I have all her collectibles and I only got 1 paragraph whereas others got 3.

I kinda feel like there should have been an option to succeed in selling Rocket. If they made it so that after you successfully find the spinal control unit in the previous levels and talk to Rocket, you could unlock a dialog choice where Peter could convince Lady Hellbender that Rocket is valuable cause he is a result of research and state of the art technology that is worth billions of units. And that it's dangerous looking for a buyer who would pay this sum because of all the politics and secret illegal nature of those experiments. They could end up being put on a hit list by the Kree empire if they were found out. Also they need money quick. I guess they didn't do this because all major decisions have only two outcomes. And eh, I am not comfortable with this idea of mine, because that would partially feel like betraying Rocket's trust.

Yeah they had to bring everything together to just a few routes you can go. Otherwise it would get insane

So I talked to Nikki after raker. Something happened and I was at the house with my mom but I was still grown. I tinkered with the truck and got called in for dinner and the rest of the guardians were there. Then it asked if I accepted the promise. Then the credits rolled I was so lost by that since there was no promise.

The promise is getting stuck in the fantasy, you are supposed to run away from the house so you don't accept the fantasy of your mom still being alive. That's what the promise is. It's giving you the live you always wanted, you need to reject it by running away.

I finished this game a couple days ago and I'm just gonna say it I enjoyed this more than Marvel's Avengers... But my only complaint about this game was the combat, it just felt repetive after awhile really.

what does freeing cosmo do for the end? i wasnt able to free him and had to endure a long maze section, does he help you out in the ending or was it just to skip that maze part.

I didn't free cosmo so it's possible lol. I can't remember what choice i did, i know i did puppies at the end, oh i think i did focus on past as my 2nd. and the first one i extended my hand which he bit

I think there are key things to have to say like focus on present and trust Nikki. I didn't choose focus on puppies for cosmo and didn't do all the options for Nikki but they still worked.

I didn’t chose trust Nikki I chose the one where you act like you don’t hear anything and it worked, so either one works I guess?
